Vent 🤬 [All Welcome] A Facebook page is screenshotting posts from this subreddit

Just a heads up, a Facebook page called Nannies and Mommies(public page) is taking screenshots of posts in here to create discussion on their page.

They are not editing out user names or subreddit name. Be aware when posting!

It's reddit. Every post is podcast fodder. Even the obviously fake ones.

I see they're also taking things from the r/nanny page.

This happens all the time. This is a public forum and Reddit is screenshot it all the time and put it across the world. That’s the reality of posting on Reddit. But this is not new and that’s not the only Facebook group or Facebook post about this group. This is not news. This is standard Internet usage.

Yes we are all aware Reddit is public.

This is the first Facebook page where I’ve seen nanny groups posted without hiding screen names. I’ve also not seen it done on public pages, only in actual groups(mostly private groups).

This page in particular sucks because it’s lazy engagement bait. They just post a screenshot and let people argue in the comments about it.

I understand that’s your first experience, but it’s actually not a abnormal one. Very few posts when they publicly shame others will protect their privacy. So even though you’ve personally never seen that before, these posts uncensored are everywhere because that’s just the reality of how little people respect others when they are attempting to hold a superiority over them. When someone takes a screenshot to shame a person, they want that person to potentially feel that shame so they’re not protecting privacy. If they have the decency to protect privacy, they would have the decency not to post at all. That’s the risk of Reddit.

Why would anyone post something about being an employer that they were afraid of people seeing?

When I started using reddit more I created a “backup” account that now I use more than my other bc it doesn’t share any of my other usernames but it’s so sad that they can’t just use their own submissions
