Cowboys didn't let Ponga go. They did everything they could to re-sign him. They tried to re-sign him 18 months before his contract expired. They offered him a deal. Andre Ponga wanted more money & another year which the Cowboys agreed too. Then it all went silent. The club followed up with numerous phone calls, emails, & texts. When they finally got a response Ponga had already agreed to join the Knights.

Brandon Smith had a few off field incidents so they let him go. He was initially sacked before being re-signed.

Tom Gilbert asked to leave for family reasons.

Kikau left because we couldn't guarantee him a spot due to our pack being stacked.

Yes our recruitment has been poor recently but we didn't let the players named slip through our fingers.

Between Maroon Observer, NQ, Phins, Broncs monthly reviews and a fair percentage qcup games he has to cover a lot information. I dont think it's possible as even only a few of us would watch all or most our feeder/junior/women's games. Then the signing news which is usually not extensively covered. Stat analysis is always good.

Coming back to this I’d say the only one was Drinkwater over hammer but I also understand the playmaking FB is waaay more valuable in the system than a running one

The cowboys definitely need a clean out but it should start with the coaching staff and go upwards
