Hudson canyon offshore tuna fishing Saturday-Sunday
I have a trip to go out Saturday 6pm- Sunday 4pm, looking at the current conditions would you say it’s a bust and they’re gonna cancel. Looks pretty bad

decent day to get out and go fish in central Jersey. Caught 2 bass myself and lost a nice one maybe about 1.5-2 lbs, first one I got on a whopper plopper and i ended up catching my
First largie on a NLBN screw lock jig head with a natural colored paddle tail swim bait goin to use it more often. My brudda landed a nice one on the whopper plopper aswell. I never get much luck (never caught a bass) on chatterbait with or without the trailers on em imma keep trying tho other than that I'm locked in with spinners, senkos and Ned rigs. Oh yeah and frogs I can never seem to set the hook right and only got about 3-4 blow ups ever too.

Hey all, I have a goal in life to catch a fish in all 50. I try to make it a point to experience a bit of what the state/area has to offer. I'm looking at going to the Pine Barrens for my trip as I'm also a bit of a dork when it comes to cryptozoology (not a believer in the Jersey Devil, just love the lore and history).
All that aside, my question is: do you think I'd have a realistic chance of catching some fish in early November in the Batsto River or Mullica River? I'm basically looking at just catching some pickerel or crappie.
I originally thought about going for striper out on the coast but I'm woefully underprepared for that.

Is it too late to target sheepshead in October ? I’ll be in Atlantic City for a wedding and I figured I’ll try for sheepshead

Did they just not stock it today? I took the day off bc I saw that they'd be stocking it but I haven't seen any trout.
Sounds like people upstream didn't catch any either.

Hit the Hackensack river for the hell of it. Wasn’t expecting anything due to all the rain yesterday but i managed to catch a nice Striper and Perch on a Tsunami Pro swim shad(pearl white). Get out there folks! They’re biting🙌

I always get skunked going for trout. I caught 1 spring 26 but that’s it. Any tips? I know they start stocking tomorrow. I live in middlesex, i’ve only caught trout at roosevelt park pond they stock that next week. I know some of the technices and lures. I used a carolina powerbait rig, worm and bobber, mepps aglia, and rooster tail.

This is a longshot, but does anyone have any recent aerial photos of Corson's inlet or the south end of OCNJ shoreline in general? I'm going to be fishing this coming weekend and I want to know what the sandbars are like after the recent noreaster. I'll only have a day or two and would love to not waste time if I can help it.

Does anyone know what time fish & wildlife usually stocks the trout on stocking day?

I’m fishing down at the Jersey Shore this weekend and was wondering if the fish have migrated down to the surf here yet. If so does anyone have any recommendations of which beach tends to be better for striper fishing? Are albies still around at any capacity?

🎣 Where are the stripers now?
Introducing Striper Tracker — a new website built for East Coast surf fishermen following the fall striped bass migration. We track the run from Massachusetts down the New Jersey coast using live NOAA ocean temperatures, wind conditions, tides, moon phases, and published migration research. Our interactive coastline map shows estimated migration progress, projected arrival dates, and fishing-condition scores for popular beaches, including Sandy Hook, LBI, and Cape May. We even show the science behind our predictions. Sandy Hook and LBI are completely free to explore, and lifetime access to all locations is just $1.99. No hype, no fake fishing reports — just real environmental data and a research-based forecast to help you plan your next trip.

Hit the Hackensack river during the outgoing tide. Caught two perch and a schoolie sized striper(not pictured). Overall, nice day to be on the river. Caught with a Zman finesse shadz on a 3/8 oz jig head.

Local ponds can hold nice large mouth given they have enough food, cover, and are not over populated. Nice 18” large mouth caught on a Wee Whacker mini buzz bait at my local pond.

Put a napkin on a table and just do random lines with silicon. Been using this for a month and it’s the only thing I consistently catch on, pattern or shape doesn’t matter, just make it look like it taste good, cheep way to get a bunch of lures, the type of shape in the image i attached is the type of style I’ve had the most luck with but I made one in the shape of sans and caught a 2 pounder on it. Good tips ur welcome (if ur gonna do this make sure you get aquarium safe silicon from the hardware store, we don’t wanna harm the fish or environment)

Heading out this afternoon for a bit on the kayak, hoping to get at least something but it's a trip with my daughter so I'm not expecting a long fishing session.
What do you have luck with for smallies or otherwise?

Hi all,
I went fishing and spoke to an old timer who had these white ribbon like worms. I forgot to ask where he gets it but he told me it's striper candy.
Where can I buy or dig one of them up?

I've just recently come to PA and I'm in the Upper Black Eddy area about 10 minutes from the Delaware River. I'm planning on fishing it today but don't know the best spots. Could anyone give me some tips and possibly a good spot to get in and wade the river (preferably less than 2.5 feet deep)?

Howdy. I am starting from scratch in terms of buying my own gear. I’ve gone fishing tons but never owned my own gear. I’ll primarily be fishing the Manasquan inlet and was going to stock up throughout the year (when things are on sale). Just need recommendations on everything when it comes to gear. Thanks!
