It's a shame we won't see more of them in the current season...

People forget that NCIS was a JAG backdoor pilot spinoff… So with NCIS origins, do you think that we’ll see any jag character appearances - maybe in the later seasons? Having Gibbs & Tony back got me thinking!!

Now I might be overthinking this. But I was watching an episode one day whilst a wee bit high and wrote down this thing I noticed.
All the female agents on the team have a name that can he connected to chess.
-Jessica Knight
-Ellie Bishop
Obviously
But then...
-Ziva David. David as in King David.
-Jack Sloan. Sloan means warrior or raider. Also Jacks in cards are called Knaves which are low level Knights.
-Alex Quinn. Alex means protector like a Rook and Quinn means chief or councilor much like a bishop would be. Also Alex is also a famous King. And Quinn sounds like Queen.
-Jenny Shepard. Her name literally translates to Fair Protector. Much like a Queen.
Stoned me reads a lot into this.

Okay, apologies in advance for a little bit of rambling, but I’ve been thinking about this since Sam first showed up in Hawaii, then more when he showed back up in the Mothership after taking a sabbatical from NCIS, then even more when NY was announced.
When NCIS LA wrapped up, we knew a few major things happened. Callen and Ana got married, Deeks and Kensi were expecting a baby, Fatima and Roundtree were becoming a powerhouse of a duo, and everything was looking good. Sam and Callen went to save Hetty (which apparently didn’t amount to much because she’s still off doing Hetty Hijinks), then we know that Sam left OSP to create the NCIS Elite team. As we all know, that ended tragically and resulted in Sam taking a leave of absence from NCIS.
I don’t remember if it was ever mentioned when or why he left LA to create the team, but let’s think about it a bit. We know that Callen was always being groomed to take over the Operations Manager position within OSP. We also know that Sam created the Elite Team somewhere between the Hetty Rescue Op and the beginning of Hawaii Season 3.
Possible Scenarios
I think, following the successful rescue of Hetty, a decision was made by Hetty, Vance, Callen, and Sam. Hetty would continue to do her own thing (which we all know nobody could tell her otherwise), Callen would take over as Operations Manager, giving him more time at home with Ana, and Sam would start working on the Elite Team to keep Hetty out of trouble. After the Elite Team was killed, we know Sam takes a leave of absence and ends up in DC, where he shows up on the Mothership. We also learn that Callen and Ana have a baby on the way (or as Sam calls it, a pup on the way, a slight nod to how Callen and Ana were both the Lone Wolf type until they met each other). This makes me strongly believe that the OSP team is now:
Callen: Ops Manager
Kensi: Special Agent in Charge
Deeks: Investigator and Kensi’s partner still
Roundtree: Special Agent, Fatima’s partner, occasionally works in Ops
Fatima: Special Agent, Roundtree’s partner, occasionally works in Ops
LA is back to their team of 4 with an Ops Manager (possibly still under the watch of Kilbride)
Sam’s kids are grown and on their own, he is no longer needed at OSP, and now that his team was killed, he probably prefers to work alone to keep other agents safe. Sam finally settling down back home in New York with a new team would be a welcomed change for him at this point.
I hope we’ll either get references or cameos from OSP at some point in NCIS New York. We know that Kensi and Tennant have both shown up as cameos in NCIS in the past few seasons, so having Kensi and Deeks show up on a video call or even showing up around a holiday episode would be amazing. Deeks’ actor is also working as an Executive Producer on Origins this season, so he’s still got ties to the franchise and could be available for a cameo or two.

I love how they didn’t do the whole “partners who struggle to get along during the early episodes“ schtick and just skipped to them being bros.

I am rewatching NCIS LA like my title says and I just need to share the things that have been getting on my nerves as I get to the end of season 5
* Hetty Lange: That woman makes me want to scream. Over and over and over again she keeps secrets that eventually end up being revealed but harm her team that she loves so much in the meantime. Learn a lesson maam. Just stop doing the same thing over and over again
* Owen Granger: RIP to the actor playing him. The constant disrespect and mistrust directed towards this man by the team is insane. He basically does the same thing Hetty does or way less and they refuse to trust or at the very minimum respect him. He is way better than I am because someone would have been fired at some point.
* Marty Deeks: Why do they keep underestimating Deeks? Bro was literally tortured and yet they find ways to reduce him to the himbo (which he kind of is) that is incapable of handling himself. It just drives me crazy that they respect him one second, the next they separate him because he can’t handle his emotions (HETTTTYYYYYY)
*Kensi: You are my perfect angel. Never change
*Eric and Nell: I love yall. My lovely kissing fishes
*Sam and Callen: I enjoy your banter and partnership but yall do too much.
Hetty: I really really dislike you like 80% of the time. Other 20, you are amazing.
And yes Hetty is on here twice and I kind of lost the point of this rant and might have contradicted myself at some point.
I just need to scream.!

Did Gibbs already keep in touch with Woody like Vera and let him know he’s on his way to his house, or do they just automatically detect his presence hence Woody’s downplayed reaction to seeing Gibbs other than him being stunning and casually saying ”welp this can’t be good“? I was expecting Woody to go “holy hell Gibbs it’s been so long” but it seems he‘s already expecting Gibbs for a while. Not to take that away from this episode though! I’m just curious.
And I’m wondering if Gibbs traveled by his motor boat or plane to California? Or was that intentionally vague by the writers? I know obviously Gibbs traveled by plane to DC.
And lastly, will we see FBI Agent Casey Bloom again? I know he’s a bit of a nuisance but I feel he actually isn’t a bad guy and I really like his charm and chill demeanor, and I’m actually glad Sean Harmon played him! He reminds me of Sonny Crockett from Miami Vice and he gave off a stoner vibe, which Sean perfectly captures that really well. Makes me wonder if Bloom is Sonny’s original inspiration LOL.

Before Ducky had Jimmy there was Gerald, do you think that Jimmy will get one as he has been doing the job solo for a while now.

So, I've just happened to stumble across John Livingston, playing Paul Jenks aka Baitfish in S1 of NOLA. Later that afternoon I'm watching S8 E1 of JAG, where Bud gets rushed for emergency surgery after stepping on a landmine. John Livingston is assisting the Dr whilst working on Bud. I doubt I would have ever noticed it if I didn't watch one, then the other, on the same day. Apparently, it was a minor uncredited role in JAG. I love spotting the familiar faces that have worked in JAG and the different NCIS franchises.

Are we going to see someone assume the face of massive confusion and utter "Wait...what?" in the last minutes of the episode?
It's been working so far, so why stop now?

My wife and I are still stunned that Dinozzo is the director.

I posted yesterday and my post is live because there are a lot of replies, but it won't let me reply to them and says its waiting for mod review. I see other posts have been approved since then. What do I need to do?

Spoilers, just in case for anyone who hasn't seen what episode I'm referring too. Season 3, Episode 3 of NCIS. The episode where serial killer Kyle Boone plays head games with Gibbs to try and avoid execution.
It's stated in the episode that Gibbs caught Boone 10 years prior to this episode which aired in 2005, which would make it around 1995ish when Boone was caught. I've always wondered how that case played out, considering how Gibbs acts throughout the episode, and I've been wondering if they'll cover it in 'Origins.'
Thoughts?
Also, are there any other cases referenced in the original that you may know about (Like how Gibbs first meets Tony, while working a case) and may pop up in 'Origins'? It's one of the things I love about prequels.

SYNOPSIS: When a man is murdered after a neighborhood dinner party, the team discovers every guest is lying - about the strange break-in at the victim's house, what they were burning in their backyards and who they really are.
