The Sneakers:

These are super dope in hand! 🔥 GX did a pretty good job with these IMO. The fireworks designed upper really pops. The colors transition nicely throughout the shoe, and the material has a nice texture to it.

One of my favorite details is the metallic looking Swoosh and Kobe logo on the tongue. Both have a cool finish that changes slightly depending on the lighting. The orange heel counter, black Mamba detailing, and icy translucent outsole really bring everything together too. I didn’t know what to expect in hand but I fell in love with them. I’m looking forward to seeing how the drop in midsole feels underfoot and in play.

Comparing these with retail photos online of the upcoming pair, I think GX captured the overall appearance pretty well. The shape looks sleek, the toe isn’t overly bulky, and the heel construction looks good. The graphics and color placement seem fairly consistent too, although the intensity of the colors and some smaller details may vary when they actually drop and even from pair to pair. Nothing concerning stands out to me from a visual standpoint though.

Overall, I’m impressed with this pair, and I’m looking forward to seeing how they look and feel on foot.

Not my first time buying off from him, nicest quality for blanks that I own from a non-rep seller (taobao seller). Materials are way too nice, soft, breathable, excellent for summer.

AS Slim Fit T-Shirt from 718 (women version - size m)

Idk about accuracy or anything similar, but overall is good enough, in terms of quality is full cotton, is soft, lightweight, good fit. I literally got it for my girl and she ended up liking it.

ERD "Snuff Film" T-Shirts from AshMade (both size m)

In terms of quality they are both good, actually, pretty soft and lightweight material but I can't lie about the fit for the white one, is way too long, Ash fucked up the fit, fit is somewhat weird and nowhere like retail, however, the black one seems to be accurate in terms of fit and print. I looked up on internet and pretty much stains, distressing can vary a lot on retail. I would choose Bower for the white one tho.

ERD Elvis Flare Jeans from BDSJ (size 30)

Freaking amazing, I remember Bower dropped the same pair of jeans but BDSJ really nailed it, quality and fit are amazing, whiskering and honeycombs are literally perfect too. One of my best jeans so far!

This one is crazy, both front and back prints are dope af. Super lightweight and good material, very distressed, boxy amd cropped, one of my favorite pieces from this haul.

Incredible stuff from Benji, Idk if they are supposed to fit like that, you can tell thay they both are like slim fit on my body, slightly cropped, but well job done in terms of accuracy vs retail, good materials.

ERD Serbian Fantasy LS from BowerMade (size s)

Sooooo freaking good, I've heard that Bower nailed it in terms of how accurate it is vs retail. The sleeves are long enough to cover like 70ish% of my hand, materials are so nice, both prints are amazing as well.

CEL Striped Shirt from Repsun (size 46)

Really nice shirt, the material feels better than expected and the stripes look so good in person. Fit is pretty nice too, love the buttons and the cuffs, overall a really clean piece that goes with pretty much anything.

AS 2021m Black Denim from SatanMade (size 30)

SatanMade is mid in my books but this one right here is good enough for the price, literally, material really great, very soft, slightly flared like retail and is one of my most worn pieces since I got it.

ERD Cupro Olive Shirt from Sososry (size s)

One of my best pick ups so far. I've told that Sososry is a very good seller that works mainly with 100% silk type shirts and 100% wool items like trench coats and so. Even tho the material is 100% cupro, the quality is so nice, is incredible soft.

TR 100% Wool Pleated Trousers from Sososry (size 30)

So freaking good. 100% wool, feels high quality, good fit around the waist but kinda long for me, overall very happy with it.

RO Geth Cut from Rmism (size 29)

Thick, heavy and stiff as my dih. Amazing piece, really heavy, really thick and stiff, you can really tell they are 16oz, amazing quality, amazing materials, details, everything is dope, only downside is that overall RO fits way too long on me, too much stacking, I will really hem them soon, can't wait for a restock of the black cw.

CH Keeper Ring from Mortal (size 8)

Not an expert on the matter, y'all can judge but overall seems hella good with amazing details, full .925 silver, it's heavy and it ended up fitting quite big on my finger.

ERD Studded Leather Belts from OperaMade (both size 85)

Amazing, trully great work done by Opera, can vouch him, both belts are great, great quality, good details such as rose details on the buckle, the tip of the belt and the studs as well.

To this day, there is so much debate on the TS1 reverse mocha. Batches are always changing, and evolving (or in LJR’s case, devolving). The LJR batch I have of these is from around 1.5 years ago and has differences to the newest batch. LJR newest batch honestly isn’t worth it, the shade of brown is way too off. I’m keeping this “golden-age” LJR pair in the comparison for reference only.

My unfiltered breakdown of all key details, build, shape, and overall accuracy:

Shape & Silhouette:

LJR: Very sleek and low-profile toe box structure, mimicking the retail version very well. Heel shape is also on point and correct height.

GX: Toe is too sloped, this stands out. Heel also stands a little too tall. Aside from these differences, the shape of this sneaker is good, and in my opinion, better than FK.

CVW: Overall great shape. Toebox is done very nicely, with some pairs/sizer having a slightly “boxier” toebox than retail (typical for most CVW sneakers). Heel is curved properly, but is a little thick looking directly from the back.

Suede/Nubuck Quality:

LJR: Live suede movement, and visible colour gradient when running fingers along it. Nubuck length is a little shorter than retail pairs, and feels slightly more scratchy. Brown is very close to retail shade.

GX: Similar story to LJR. Lively nubuck, but feels slightly too scratchy. No problems at all with the nubuck on this sneaker.

CVW: Very thick, plush, and premium-feeling nubuck that feels noticeably different than the other 2 pairs, in my opinion, feels closer to retail. However, the shade of brown is a little too dark compared to retail, even when considering retail variations.

Swoosh Placement & Leather Quality:

LJR: Naturally curved reverse swoosh with clean outer stitching. Medial swoosh is accurate in proportion. Tumbling is generally done well and matches retail texture. I remember that this batch specifically had an issue where the reverse swoosh sat a little too low into the midsole, which is present on this pair.

GX: Swoosh shape is on point, and stitching is done well. Swoosh sits a little higher than retail pairs. Tumbling is visibly different, as the material used is slightly different. It is more apparent in person, and especially when touching the swoosh. GX seems to use a different leather material than the other 2 batches here, it feels and looks a little less premium.

CVW: Very cleanly cut and shaped reverse swoosh. Medial swoosh can be a little small compared to retail depending on specific size. Tumbling is also well done and matches retail quite well. Very clean stitching pattern which matches retail well. Swoosh can sit a little higher or firmer along the panel edge on certain pairs, but it’s not cause for concern. Super premium-feeling leather used all around.

Heel Embroidery:

LJR: Clean wings logo and CJ placement. Threads are properly spaced, and the logo is very slightly raised. No complaints about embroideries.

GX: Embroideries are generally done well, but the threads seem a little too tight. From afar, it looks almost as if the logo is coloured/painted on, rather than stitched into the shoe. It’s definitely still nice, but I would like to see a little more definition on future iterations.

CVW: Very deep and well-defined embroideries that give a 3D pop to the back of the sneaker. Stroke thickness on the CJ face can vary from pair to pair, which is another detail to look out on. I think CVW embroideries are the best of the bunch for this sneaker.

CJ Medial Stamp:

All batches shown in this comparison are essentially identical in colour, texture, and placement. All accurate to retail. Not much to talk about here, whatever your choice is, it will be good.

Stitching:

All sneakers use stitching patterns that mimic retail stitching very well. CVW gets the slightest edge because the stitching is overly clean, I can’t find a single inconsistency along the whole sneaker.

NIKE AIR + Cactus Jack Logos:

NIKE AIR and CJ tongue logos on all 3 batches are very similar. One thing I did notice, is that my GX pair has less tongue bleeding than the other 2 batches. Both LJR and CVW have a slight pink hue to the tongue tag if you look in certain lighting.

My Final Verdict:

Current LJR isn’t the best buy. It’s simply not worth it at the moment for ¥470, the colour on current LJR is way too dark of a brown. It throws off the look of the entire sneaker. Sure, the shape is a little better than GX, but for ¥100 more, you can upgrade to CVW and get a better sneaker.

Choose GX if: You want something with better shape than FK, and don’t mind the slight drop in material quality. I’d put GX slightly higher than FK on my list for this sneaker.

Choose CVW if: You prioritize heavy-duty premium materials and great build quality, plush nubuck, and don’t mind the shade of brown, along with some minor inconsistencies. It’s a great sneaker that will only be available for a little longer before stock dries up.
