Lete. Obviously. I’ve given the casting department a lot of grief over the last several years for being lazy with casting rookies, but they nailed it with Lete.
Some fun facts about Lete -
D1 college athlete
Valedictorian of her high school
Winner of Miss Indiana, top 5 in Miss USA
I cannot think of a better combination of traits for this particular show, especially when you add into the mix that she’s a hothead, and is down to hookup.
She showcased her puzzle abilities this episode. I was curious if we were going to see that with her valedictorian background and we sure did.
It’s 11/10 across the board for me, and people that are bothered by her blow up last episode just have a fundamental misunderstanding of what makes good reality TV.

In this weeks episode, multiple people mentioned how Adrienne was a bad friend for putting in Justin. It’s one thing to put up your own friend for elimination when they are on your own team, but Adrienne is playing AGAINST Justin’s team. Adrienne would be hurting her own chances by putting CT in.
The same thing happened last week, and it’s happened a bunch earlier in the season. If you can help your friend AND yourself, or your friend is on the same team, you should help them out. But when your friend is li it really your opponent in the game and you have to choose between the good of your own game or your friends, you should always choose your own game. Idk why, but it seems like more than ever, this season challengers are getting upset when their friend on the other team is playing for themselves.

On johnnys recent podcast with Tori he threw out there a clip of him saying Jordan Tori and Georgia Harrison had a 3some , now a challengetea911 page reposted the podcast clip and Jordan commented that it didn’t happen.

It would be so funny if the grey team wins and Adrienne shares the money with everyone except for Lete. I think after the season she’s had, this would be the cherry on top. Thoughts?

This is one of those dailies that I would want to compete in. I’m always a fan of the obstacle courses and certain heights over water challenges. I don’t know if I could finish it in one try but it would be fun.

Because damn, maybe Adrienne is playing chess by making sure she gets paired with Lete to dominate in a Rivals season. It's been a while since we had a pairs season, so I'd love to see it.

CT manipulated Adrienne just before that elimination during the interview with TJ. He saw Justin's response to TJ was emotional and defeated. All the sudden when TJ asks him how he is, he burst out and was over the top angry saying he let the team down and needed to prove himself.
You have two options. The guy who is already in his own head complaining, or the guy who is renowned at puzzles appearing motivated and angry. It's an obvious choice.

Lete’s reaction to her blindside was a huge contrast to Cedric’s. While she was even more angry than Cedric, she was able to focus and dominate in a mental elimination. Unfortunately, Cedric couldn’t get his head in the game and lost what should have been an easy win for him. It just shows that you have to be ready at all times and how a challengers mental state is just as important as their athletic abilities.
Honestly, I would always be prepared to be thrown in elimination if I was competing in this game. Unless TJ himself is telling me I’m safe, then I’m never going to be hundred percent comfortable.

CT Downfall-Puzzle Guy
CT has always been my favorite challenger for his physical presence. People were terrified of him for years and that’s truly why he dominated. So it’s hard to see him simply begging to stay around since he’s “the puzzle guy”. I know he’s older but wish he would of came into this season in better shape.

Publicity stunt or do you think they might be together?

Did editing not spoil this episode? From the first teaser for this season we saw Lete getting pissed and slapping her hands. Then they reminded us and showed that same clip at the start of this episode.
Then, she gets picked for elimination and yet we haven’t seen that seen. Does that not completely spoil she wins?
I mean I don’t really care, but it seems like maybe poor editing? I realize they want to show drama to keep people engaged, but this was a weird one.

This current season (42) has not been tea, and if The Challenge wants to continue, do a cast like this with a Free Agents theme getting rebranded for 43.
The cast is:
Guys
Girls

I think it was a terrible decision to risk putting Lete in the final challenge. Why risk your best player in a TEAM event? The only way you make that move is if its an individual final and you do not want to go against her. Then that move would be logical. Otherwise its not smart. I thought for sure it would be Cassidy. She's not a weak player but she isn't your best player. If she comes back then great.
Without Lete you decrease your odds of winning by A LOT. She carried that team in the last challenge.
I don't blame Lete for losing her cool but now even if her team wins - Adrienne can give everyone money and cut her out. Its her decision alone. I sure hope she apologizes before the final goes down to clear the air.
Also, the gray team has a really good chance to win. CT will hurt them more than help them in the final. Its like 80% endurance, then you have to deal with puzzle checkpoints. Lete is so good that Orange team will not be able to catch up during puzzles. The best equalizer would be an eating challenge. It is going to be interesting to see how things break down.

After bananas took the money from Sarah the show was building casts with his enemies all in one place.
It made the show interesting after years of JKE domination. Watching people go at him early was fun.
The next few seasons of the show should be cast with the hope of putting Tori into a bad spot.
The only way to make the show fun again is to make Tori and Michele actually have to fight from the bottom. Or to move on from that group of challengers.
We’ve hit full Tori fatigue for sure.
Winning with the mob is easy, winning from the bottom is rly hard, and that’s really all I have left to see out of Tori and Michele that would excite me.

Adrienne made the final on Vets & New Threats (4th place) and Cutthroat 2
Michele made the final on Battle of the Eras (3rd place) and Cutthroat 2
Tori made the final on Spies, Lies, & Allies (2nd place), USA 2 (4th place), Ride or Dies (1st place), World Championship (2nd place), Battle of the Eras (4th place) and now Cutthroat 2

Lete had one of the best challenge episodes of all time. She carried her team thru that daily challenge. She jumped every time Adrienne fell and after all that still took lead for the team on every obstacle and won the whole challenge. Then gets blindsided into elimination and dog walks Justin 3-0 in the puzzle elimination.
For the people who love the drama/entertainment side she blew up on her team before, during, and after the elimination. I’m glad she didn’t play nice after she won like most do but continued running down her team. If the Challenge was looking for their next Laurel I think they found it in spades.

Yep, talking about Lete. She's an absolute beast. I love watching her perform but just because you yell loudly doesn't mean you're right. Adrienne's decision was logical and also proved to be the correct one. I'm glad everyone stood their ground against Lete this episode because her post elimination blowup was ridiculously immature and just tone deaf. Adrienne is not a coward at all, she's proved herself many times. Lete has a childish nature and loses herself in the moment when things don't go her way. I hope she reflects on this and grows. She never went into elimination which is a big thing for a rookie to prove every season. Adrienne didn't want Lete to go home or else she would've sent in Ct for the puzzle elimination. I just don't find her reaction to her team sending her in acceptable at all. It just sucks because she's so skilled but lacks basic understanding on why moves are made. It really wasn't personal for her to go in but a logical calculation that was proven correct. Adrienne and Tori have proven to be great captains for their teams honestly. Lete needs to work on her temperament. Just because you're 8ft tall doesn't mean you're gonna intimidate people. I hope she can get her head out of her ass for the final. I want grey to win!
Follow up: Welp considering my favorite person in The Challenge series was/is Landon then it probably makes sense to the rest of you my I don't particularly enjoy her outburst and want some reflection. Yes its TV so it is what it is...

Why did CT say Michelle couldn't be risked for Orange Team?
Wasn't she supposed to be the brains / puzzle queen? And she got -10000 blame for the poor puzzle performance. Instead, they said she couldn't be risked in elimination.
Sure, Tori protects her because of friendship. Bananas and Will are also on the friendship train. But why did CT say it too?
Was he just following the team dynamic? Isn't there an argument to be made that Michelle COULD be risked and go against another female competitor, esp if they predicted a puzzle elimination?
Tldr: Michelle isn't a great competitor but her team has decided she is.

I am not taking away from Lete's amazing episode, puzzle perfomance, and elimination. It was all fun to watch, but just because the edit clips her saying she is good at puzzles and then shows her completing a puzzle does not mean she is instantly a puzzle queen.
I am mainly responding to people who are now saying CT's puzzle advantage is nullified by Lete being on grey... you mean the undisputed best puzzle person is now canceled out cause Lete did good on a daily challenge puzzle and then beat a very checked out Justin.
There have been other puzzles this season that Blue team has crapped out on. There was the mini final where orange came in last during the endurance portion and WON the challenge, where was Lete carrying blue team?
Don't get me wrong, Lete may above average in puzzles, she may prove to be top 10% in puzzles, but a single edit and episode in which she does well in two puzzles is not some slam dunk evidence she is a puzzle queen. We need to be a bit smarter than simply beleiving what an edit tells us to think.
Stop reading if your not into stats theory, but puzzles have a wide range of skills, randomness + variance
Starting with skills, not every puzzle requires the same knowledge base, and some require more intuition than others. The fact that we group people on a linear scale of 1-10 on good or bad at puzzles is dumb. Cara can beast a memorization puzzle but has also crumbled at math before. Math comes easier to some people, but the math they do on the challenge, almost any human brain can learn to do with repitition and methods training. Therefore, unless someone has dominated puzzles for 4-5 seasons (CT and to a much lesser textent Anessa) we can not call them a puzzle queen, because they may have just gotten puzzles in their skill wheel house.
Randomness + Variance. Most of the puzzles have a lot of randomness (random error to use the statistical term) which means that even if someone has a skill of 7/10 in puzzles and another has 5/10 in puzzles the 5/10 might win around 30% of the time. This is because in things like the shape puzzle Lete did in todays episode, if you randomly place a couple first pieces right the rest could fall into place and you could look like a genious even if your first few placements were essentially random. Not every puzzle is random, but most have at least some randomness built in, based on if you are lucky in your first few moves. Or even how your pieces and randomly laid out versus someone else. This creates a high degree of variance, meaning basically the range of outcomes in any given puzzle outcome is wide. Bananas beat CT in a 3 puzzle elimination (similar format to the elim we just saw between Justin and Lete), even as a Banana stan I would admit CT has far less duds than Bananas in puzzles. But! To my point Bananas has the high upside to smoke a puzzle and downside of getting stuck on it forever (hence he has high variance).
This has turned into a PSA, but basically please do not use a single puzzle outcome ever as evidence of puzzle superiority, you need a sample size of at least 10 puzzles before we can start saying with any degree of accuracy that X is better than Y at puzzles, or X is a puzzle Queen.
