Admin Replied User mute-evading by submitting modmail as subreddit-to-subreddit convo
See title. Can't mute the sub, what do? Couldn't find similar reports in the sub via search either.
For further context, they used a long-dead subreddit where they were the only submitter to evade a perma-mute. I reported for harassment but I'd like to be able to mute them again to stop the harassment.

It's on my list but last time I checked, there were issues retrieving sub-to-sub modmail conversations inside Devvit. I'll check again at some point.

Ah, so we're waiting for them to add it. It can be done with the api but that's rather pointless now.

Hahaa nice. That's pretty sad. I'd say before 2025 Reddit used to take those seriously and ban people and you'd get a nice message about it, but they quit sending out those msesages, so we can't tell if they take any action now.

Will do, u/AsteriskRX. I ran into a similar ish issue a couple weeks back as well that's a failure of the same muting mechanic/limitations I'd like to flag as well. Someone suggested I specifically ping u/Sodypop for that one, as its regarding a Devvit issue. Will write in separately.

TIL that we're now able to send modmail sub to sub. That used to not be a thing.
