Feedback / Bug Report Vibe CLI : Is plan mode officialy supported?

Hello,

I'd like to use the Vibe CLI more, but I'm disappointed by the support it's currently receiving. For example:

  • Its not possible to cycle back to the `plan` mode with `Shift-Tab`, see this Github issue that has been opened 2 weeks ago
  • The `smart-approve` agent mode is not reference on the Vibe cli doc even though it was added at least on the 2.25.1 version

Is the Mistral team still actively supporting the VibeCli?

The smart-approve thing missing from the docs is a bummer, that's the kind of thing that makes you wonder if anyone's actually keeping the docs in sync with releases

the shift-tab issue sitting for 2 weeks isn't a great sign either, feels like the CLI's in that awkward spot where it exists but nobody's really owning it

might be worth pinging someone from the team directly on the github issue to see if it's just slipped through or if priorities shifted elsewhere

Thank you for the feedback.
* Plan mode - no longer supported with the unified harness. We suggest you use skills instead, and new versions of models (GLM-5.3, Mistral Large 4) do not really need a plan mode. You can just tell them to plan in your prompt. We should have communicated this better.
* Smart approve - we just added to the docs yesterday (will be live soon). Sorry about the delay here.

you can launch directly in planning with `vibe --agent plan`. it's in the official docs, though that doesn't establish whether the shift-tab bug is fixed https://docs.mistral.ai/vibe/code/cli/agents
