Is anyone else having a problem with the MCC Team generator, I was trying to make team for a what it MCC team predictions, but the website is not working, so I just want to know is anyone else having the same problem with me or is it just wifi

I will loose my shi if in Twitch Rivals...Cyan Centipedes from last event just show up together at the Ace Race practice map at that specific place. Would be so funny...

Teams are ordered by team placement and participants are ordered by gold mined within their team. 4C had the most gold mined in a single round with 110.

I'm going to preface this with a reminder that the biggest change to SOT this event was to its backend. The generator is capable of a lot more now than it used to be, so it's quite possible that there are some new generation rules that we won't discover until multiple dungeons have been explored.

As for what we could observe this event:

- The hub room was changed! The biggest change is the addition of a twelfth tunnel behind the sphinx, but it was also given more levers (again, behind the sphinx), as well as some new parkour challenges along the side walls.

- The hub room had something removed as well: the Blue Key. You can no longer access the room under the timer, and the Blue Key is now found behind a puzzle in one of the 12 tunnels attached to the hub.

- The Red Key is no longer behind a puzzle in a room attached to the hub. It can now be found down a random path, guarded by 8 zombies that must be defeated in order to unlock the key.

- The Green Vault is no longer directly attached to the hub room, now having a vault path of its own! This increases the number of vault paths to 4, and the number of paths in total to 7.

- Since 7 paths and the Blue Key room make up just 8 of the 12 tunnels, this means the number of parkour/puzzle rooms attached to the hub has been increased to 4. Two brand-new challenges were seen this event, as well as a new variant of one we're already familiar with.

- A few new and returning rooms were added to the generation pool, which I have listed here. Additionally, (some?) rooms can now be mirrored.

I think that's all for this event, but I'm sure there's still more to be discovered. If you think you spotted anything I didn't, please let me know!

If you saw these scores and thought everyone was playing for the first time, that would be completely understandable. MCC Bewitched features the lowest total coins collected since Sands of Time's debut in MCC 5, with the only exceptions being Risings 2 and 3. But in a way, they were playing for the first time. SOT received its biggest update since 2021, with very little being revealed in the update video. All that was known was that vaults and keys were getting reworked, rendering the strategy that defined the meta for the past five years obsolete. Players had to re-learn how the vaults worked on the fly, and they struggled mightily, with only four vaults being opened across all ten teams. Combine that with coins from outside the vaults landing on the low end of the typical range, and you get the lowest-scoring Sands of Time from an experienced playerbase ever.

The winning team this event was Red, and despite their score being below the average of the other eight events in the past three seasons, they ended up in 12th on the canon leaderboard thanks to their competition struggling even harder. Red was led by two of just four players to collect 400 coins in Feinberg and PrinceZam, with Graecie and Ren also recording above-average scores for their respective positions. Impressively, they did this without anyone unlocking a vault, despite four of the other teams managing to get one. Red becomes the first team to collect the most coins in a game of Sands of Time without opening any vaults since 2021, when Cyan Rising joined Orange 12 as the other teams to do so.

so I noticed feinberg won both the events he was in the direct next event after teaming with tubbo and I found it mildly amusing, except then I remembered fruitberries and sandwichlord did the exact same thing. thus I decided to go look back and this happens far more often than I realised 😭

disclaimer: data pulled from mcc wiki at bleary eyed 3am so there may be inaccuracies of course. also started from mcc 21 since it was his second to last db

green - the top frag got into dodgebolt their very next event after teaming him

yellow - not the top frag, but another teammate got into dodgebolt their very next event after teaming with him

gray - either:

- tubbo top fragged

- top frag teamed with tubbo multiple events in a row

- top frag has not played another event yet after teaming with tubbo

red - does not fit the pattern

the exceptions to this top fragging pattern are currently only Hannahxxrose and Couriway (twice)

technically philza is also excempt, except he HAS in fact won the very next event TWICE in earlier data (after all stars and after mcc 11)

the others who in some events didn't fall into the pattern, have still done it at least once (hbomb and 5up)

this is the most unserious data collection ever my university should throw me out for this

like I just prioritized top frags and only the checked other teammates, otherwise for example apokuna after pride 24 ALSO did the gambit, not reflected in the sheet bc I just realized this

so what does any of this even mean?

if 5up wins the next event he plays i am going to lose my mind (edit: 5up didn't db in Bewitched therefore went against pattern my brain blanked a bit)

same goes for tommyinnit if he returns on a team without tubbo and wins

if you need a top frag nerfed, team them with tubbo multiple times in a row until you're ready for them to win another event (see: hbomb and antfrost)

the only formula ive thought that tubbo himself could win with would be teaming him with Scott Smajor since the only time he ever won was also the only time he teamed with the scriptwriter himself
