Discussion Favorite breakdowns #1
These are three of my absolute favorite breakdowns! I’m starting a new series for breakdowns and one for riffs. Let me know what you think and what I should learn next!

This band is truly something amazing. They had so many good songs. I'm really hoping for a comeback from them soon

For me it's currently a toss-up between Afraid Of The Dark by Motionless In White and a Quite Niche song (that you should check out btw) that being Off My Skin by After The Outreak.
One of my favorite bands that Being Cult To Follow their vocalist Brian W Scott said they might be releasing a new single after being silent for 7 years with their last release being Inception and if it comes out this year it might just take the crown for my SOTY.
Nobody fucking asked but I'm going to say it anyway. Cult To Follow is a band that is very important to me not only because they're the entire reason why I've wanted to start a band for nearly a decade and they are how I found my passion for clean singing.

yo, I'm pretty new to early bmth and just stumbled upon "no need for introductions..."
that line at the end ("And after everything you've put me through / I should've fucking pissed on you") sounds WAY too specific and angry to just be a random aggressive lyric lol. was there some real drama behind this back in 2007 or was Oli just being dramatic?
anybody from that era know if this was about a real situation?

I feel like they’ve been filling the void that Void of Vision left behind (no pun intended). Can’t wait for their new album to drop in a week

Edit: Like Moths to Flames for those that aren't aware
Long time LMTF fan, but their ability to keep pushing themselves after all these years is incredible.
"I Don't Want to Be Here Anymore" is sonic devastation from start to finish, but what really brings it all together for me is the callback to "The Worst in Me" from When We Don't Exist.
In 2011, the narrator defiantly rejects the idea of being loved with "I never wanted to be loved by anyone." Fifteen years later, that sentiment returns as a question: 'Was I never loved by anyone?"
Suddenly, the reason he's asking whether heaven mourns for him becomes clear. Everyone has left. He's pushed them all away. God offers no answers. Still, he's screaming into the void, desperately hoping that anyone cares enough to hear him.
I don't know whether this was intended as a literal continuation of the original song, but hearing it that way makes the whole thing feel like a harrowing fifteen-year character arc.
What a fucking band.

What are some songs that have similar intros.
Like the person saying something, then it goes into a filthy riff

FFO: ?
Always struggle with The Banner because it often feels like the FFO: only works for half the song. It's in parts chuggy as hell with a cool gang vocal and then it explodes into fast punky parts with a frantic solo to finish things off. So if you want to hear all that, give this a click.

His recent Instagram post on his page talks about how much his mental health has suffered over the last few months (likely due to people attacking him online over live performance vocals)
He revealed the self doubt that had begun to set in, the performance anxiety he's developed.
A very important reminder that our favorite artists are humans too and don't deserve the vitriol and hate they receive.
Love Sam/Architects, Devastated to read how much the dickheads hurt him.
Edit: People who are coming here to pile on the Sam hate, read the room, there's enough hate in the world already. Be Kinder. Be Better.

To be heard is all that I want.
Someone recommend me this band last year, and I finally got around to checking them out. They’re so amazing 😭
