Can someone explain it for math lovers who havenāt done math in a while š

The exponential function ex is special such that it is equal to its own derivative, so all 3 Spider Man expressions evaluate to the same thing, ex
(technically the one on the right evaluates to ex + C, where C is any arbitrary number)

I know this comment is kinda toxic, but you don't know ex as a math lover?

Iāll leave a few things to consider:
- the full context includes āwho havenāt done math for a whileā
- I pursued a career path that doesnāt require maths so itās normal to have a vague recollection of things after years
- I never said anything about what level I was at in academia
- in general one can love a subject without knowing it in its entirety: did you love math before learning about polynomials or integrals ? Possibly yes since you hang around here, but as per premise you didnāt know about those topics I mentioned
To answer your question directly though: I knew about e^x, but I didnāt remember its properties (thereās a possibility I never learned about some of them)
In terms of toxicity: I donāt think so, primarily because you pointed it out yourself.
Iād say it was either a cheeky question or maybe a legitimate question from a young fella or maybe from a very smart person who remembers everything theyāve studied, or a mix of everything
so no prob š
