I have had my whole roaster level 105 G19 for a long time. When I started seeing those upgrade points in events for the last few months (take 5 toons to 100 to 105 or 5 toons to g19) I never complained, because I understand I must be a small percent of players. 1% versus 99% (older person with asset inflation than nepo kid or generational wealth inheritance in this analogy). I never was the one to spend to compete with Krakens.

Let it be a catch up mechanic for equity participation for newbies, plus with the recent changes (dynamic pricing, low value rewards, cores removed from arena, and orb drop reduction, etc) and cheaters (approach by Scopley) I don't care about leaderboard events at all for well over a year, nor are they worth the squeeze. I play as normal and get what I get.

No, I am not a Kraken, yes I have spent in game on and off, and I am a year one veteran with OCD who took some risks with upgrades over a year ago (mistakes were made with resources and regretted and redeemed lol).

Anyways.

This recent event, just simply tone deaf (plenty of posts here to explain the blunder) as always, with a simple solution, just allow retroactive upgrades to count with a battle. The lack of resources makes it not even useful to newbies. No excuse or justification, just BS AI slop gaslighting from the devs and support with every issue. It's a long term pattern, that makes even blog reading boring and annoying.

The double and triple down by the devs and support, further proves the lack of respect Scopley has for all its players. Not shocking, just more proof. This whole thing is getting so bad, it is funny. Like a train wreck, you can't turn away from. 😆

Its 100% FOMO on my part with the Halloween event now, but it has me considering finally upgrading them. Zuggs has some value from time to time. I also always see them as options in towers. I have them all at lvl 31ish.

So MSF community, do I pull the trigger or skip them like I have continued to?

Edit: Hard to argue against the overwhelming YES! 34 million gold disappeared in seconds, didn't get me to the point I would have liked, but its a start.

Does the 3 energy or whatever for each reset daily?

I love Oath and have enough mats to move her to G21. I currently have Blade (Mighty), Rachel CA, Julie and Hobgoblin at G21 (yeah, not a mixed bunch!). My Alliance is reasonably casual, so I don't HAVE to build the new 3-piece war team of vampires.

Is it worth pulling the trigger? I do use her plug and play in other matches because of her speed mechanic. Thoughts?

I've restarted several times.

Trying my best to collect the 1D for the scorpion breaker but currently stucked at the node8. The toons I am using for this node are knull, surfer breaker, quasar, ebony maw and kingo. Also have the full timeless eternal team available but them seem to be useless here. I didn't have my og thanos built up and I currently cannot pass the node (simply get wiped by doctor doom or the last wave of immortal weapons), any idea I can pass it without building another team?

Just noticed that the Greed, Envy, and Wrath costumes are available in the costume shop, which is great (though I don't know how plausible it is to get 100k candy), but would love for costumes to be a more frequent addition to the game like it used to be. Yes, I know that Scopely largely discontinued them because they couldn't monetize them (and allegedly they want to add stats to new costumes at some point). How would you go about new costumes if you HAD to appease the "Scopely Money Lords?" If I HAD to add some sort of gameplay addition/boost to costumes, I think I'd just make them do more fun stuff (for example, Bullseye could get a Hawkeye outfit based on when he was part of the Dark Avengers team, and this outfit would make his basic attacks a guaranteed critical hit every other turn).

I’ve been cruising through the shadow king xtreme with the comp of Wolverine, storm (mighty), Angel, sunspot and cannonball - but for some reason 1-3 node I don’t get a chance to go - their entire team goes twice before I go and wipes my whole team before I can do anything.

Am I missing something? A mechanic? Or do I need a specific comp?

When we look at the raw physics of how an app interacts with hardware, MSF is operating like malware. Here is the unfiltered, non-sugar-coated reality of how THEIR code actively assaults your device, no matter how powerful it is:

1. The Vicious Cycle: Data Leaks to Thermal Throttling

It does not matter if you are running a multi-thousand-dollar, top-tier device with the fastest processor and maximum RAM on the market. The code is a broken pipe.

• The Influx: As you play, the app constantly leaks data into your RAM, hogging memory blocks and refusing to release them.
• The Overheat: When your RAM hits 100% capacity because of these leaks, your device’s processor (CPU/GPU) has to work at full, frantic utilization just to keep the app from collapsing. This extreme, unnatural workload generates intense thermal heat.
• The Crash: To prevent your phone’s motherboard from literally melting or degrading your battery permanently, your device’s operating system steps in as a safety mechanism. It triggers a hardware panic, forces thermal throttling to cool down, and violently terminates the app (force-close).

1. You Pay the Price for Their Trash Code

This isn't just an inconvenience; it is a financial penalty on the player:

• Battery Degradation: Intense heat is the number one killer of lithium-ion batteries. By forcing your phone to overheat daily, MSF is actively destroying your device's battery health and lifespan.
• Hardware Wear: They are offloading the cost of their terrible, lazy optimization onto your expensive hardware. You bought a godly device, and their software is treating it like a disposable stress-test tool. AND JUST LOOK AT HOW MANY REVISES AND EDITS HAD TO DO COZ I CAN'T POST SOMETHIN WITH A SIMILAR TAG... NOT LOOKING TO DISHONOR OR WHAT ANY OTHER FOR THAT MATTER IT'S JUST EH REALITY THAT SOME DO NOT KNOW.... IS THAT WRONG THO?

For science, I decided to try Iron Raiders instead of the recommended teams for global. Sharing so you don’t have to waste resources to find out. Results below:

Other thoughts:
Might be possible with more stars, but doesn’t look promising so far
I still need to experiment with manual, but I’m lazy to read the walls of text

Conclusion:
Not recommended, but will continue trying as more stars become available
