Discussion I'm planning to translate a manhua
I have two contenders right now: Lan Ke Qi Yuan and God of Martial Arts.
Which one do you guys think I should translate? You can suggest a different manhua if y'all want.
I want to help people enjoy manhua properly. I may not be the most qualified person to translate a manhua, but I'm what you'd call an obsessed perfectionist, so you won't find grammatical mistakes. I'll also make sure the names of realms and techniques remain consistent, give techniques well thought out names, and properly convey the dialogue's tone depending on the situation in each scene.
However, I don't know where to upload my translation, so I'd be thankful if y'all could give a suggestion. I want to share my translation for free so everyone can enjoy it.

Suggestion :
It starts with a mountain
Currently, more than half of it is just in MTL chapters
Also, if you are asking from these 2 then long ago I read God of martial arts upto what it had been released till, like chapter 800 or something and I think the translation was pretty decent for a read and someone doesn't have to read between lines to get the context.
Haven't read the second one so I will say the second one, "Lan Ke Qi Yuan"

That's true, God of martial arts does have a readable translation but Lan Ke Qi Yuan's translation is very bad
Also Good suggestion I forgot about It starts with a mountain, it does need a translation too but maybe later, after Lan Ke Qi Yuan

It start with a mountain absolutely need TL, it's already finish and it's peak!!
But reading MTL makes my brain hurt so much especially they often change the name of something or worse yet get the meaning wrong 😭

Like the most prominent is spear = Gun since the writing in Chinese is ig close or maybe the exact same, so after awhile I just gave up and was ok spears are just pointy guns

The only things i ask of you is that please don't don't write joke that are native to your language in the translation (whatever your language maybe), and if your Indian as a fellow Indian please don't write random curse words in Hindi 🙏🏻

Lan ke qi yuan is a unique gem, i like unique manhua like these. Happy to see someone is translating this. As for where to upload, you can join a discord server for a known website, or websites. Like asura. If you're doing it for free I'm sure they'll just let you. One thing is that you have to be consistent, translate 10 chapters and upload them every week or twice a week while translating new ones. I was also thinking of translating this but i didn't find raws an now I'm busy with Uni

God of martial arts, while somewhat good at beginning parts had fallen in my eyes toward newer chapters and same goes for it's art quality and script. On the other hand Lan Ke Qi Yuan had both consistently good art and a very good story that I liked among manhuas which you all probably know that manhuas in general aren't ones to shine through good story or art, most of them are just mass produced slops that aim to win people through higher chapter release rate
My vote is for Lan Ke Qi Yuan

Honestly when the manhua/manhwa I read falls off like that I act as if it got axed and forget about it as not ruin the part I enjoyed
God of martial arts is (in my opinion) underrated but yeah Lan Ke Qi Yuan is more deserving and it seems the majority here votes for it too, so I'm pretty much decided on Lan Ke Qi Yuan

Thanks for reply. It's not that I am saying GOMA didn't have any potential or charm of itself but if you don't have visuals or at very least a good story and pacing to back it up then it just fall miserably. Plenty of examples like that where works with great potential that was fun but fell of later exist out there. There are several series like that going on right now, one of them Revenge of the Baskerville Bloodhound, which is a manhwa but I think it falls to same category

Fellow star emperor, I'm thinking comix but you gonna need to wait few weeks until i finished like 50 chapters before I upload it or maybe I'll wait till I finish it completely
I didn't fully decide yet, I'll see how it goes first

Even if GOMA is one of my favurites, Lan ke needs it more considering the stoey needs to be understood for it to bring its greatness! Lan ke no dubd!

God of Martial Arts went full AI in the recent chapters. I usually don't mind it if it looks okay, but it looks atrocious.

Lanke Qiyuan. God of Martial Arts is pretty ass in later chapters. Lanke Qiyuan, although I haven't read many manhua chapters,I have read novel to end. It's pretty good even to later periods. Not sure people will like it because it's Classical Xianxia.

Lan ke qi yuan one of my favorites but the translation for it sucks so it’s always tiring reading it or else I woulda already read through it a 3rd time

As someone who translated enough manhua chapters of God of Martial Arts, I think I’m uniquely qualified to tell you that it’s not worth it. The beginning arcs are better in terms of art and pacing.
