Man this one was such a let down . Literal thóts chasing falling in love with mc for "money" and calling it romance genre 😭😭😭

But for gooners its good slop

Pretty much all of these go the same way, I like to describe them as comfortable slop, you don't have to think much about them and it sticks to pretty stereotypical story beats so you won't get surprised.

Hell when I first started reading manhua years ago I started with these sort of stories. I noticed right off the bat out of the ten or so I had, most had the extract same plot for the first ten or so chapters.

Poor college kid is a delivery driver while spending all their money on their girlfriend. Girlfriend cheats with rich guy and is caught chapter one. MC gets system and takes school beauty out for system challenge. Gets in a money war with ex girlfriend's new boyfriend over who can spend money on expensive bag as a gift. Everyone assumes MC is poor and is shocked to see his card not decline, he buys everything in the store to make a point. Ex girlfriend regrets cheating with older rich guy, spends future trying to get back with MC.

I think they all stick this story beat at the start.

Don't forget mandatory Stream PK arc.

MC checks where to spend money for mission. Finds the top Streamers, get snobbed and block from channel, find some nobody streamer or the rival of the snob streamer, send millions in donations, streamer tries too woo MC because Big Corpo said so... etc. some mob boss goes bankrupt because he simped on the snob.

These one really frustrate me cos I like romance and harems but these relationships are always so toxic. After rebirth: upgrading through consumption is the most decent I've read so far mainly cos the mc is more focus in using the fls to make money. Which somehow feels less scummy than other mcs of the same type. Smaller harem and way slower progression but way more interesting story and he even losses his virginity. And the fls are competent and aren't glazes only to look like a dumbass next to some random
