When I was a kid at middle school I was in the canteen at lunch picking up some food and noticed a cheese batch just next to the main trays.
I asked if I could have it and the dinner lady smiled, said of course and gave it to me. Every other day I would greet the same dinner lady, make small talk and I would ask "are there any cheese batches left?" and she would grab one and give it to me whilst smiling.
Years later when I was grown up and saw her again in our village I found out that cheese batches weren't available on the school menu, she had been making them for me specially because she knew I liked them so much.
This made my well up in tears. Reminds me of the canteen ladies in my school who gave me lunch for free because they knew we were poor. Teachers are the first role models i had in life
