I had an issue with my Grampa going to Seattle when I was a kid - I thought he was going to See Attle, and I was so mad cause he was married to my Gramma. 😡

She's adorable. And very bright. She was conjugating Miami like a french verb 🤣
And also very patient cos my irritable little self at that age would have said..look go and get yourself together Mom, youre confused! Lol

My youngest used to ask if she could put away the "my-tencils" when I was unloading the dishwasher.

My youngest when they were 4, did that with their siblings with Minecraft.
"Do you wanna play Your Craft?"
"You mean Minecraft?"
"Yeah, your craft."

It's cute! But then I got frustrated lol.
She's obviously really smart and the mom thinks getting her to repeatedly say the word(s) she clearly already knows how to say will fix the problem. Yeah, just keep repeating Miami to the kid, that'll teach her the difference. She even emphasizes "*MI*ami" to imply that's the problem. The kid makes a correction and is told its wrong with no reason why.
It's cute, but after few interactions actually explain what's going on to the poor kid lol.

Thank you for the explanation I could not put in to words. It was cute the first time but it is the responsibility of the parent to explain in a different way when the child misunderstands

Adorable video, though.

Reminds me of my daughter. She asked me how to say “his name is” in Spanish. I said “se llama”. And she would repeat “ama”. Round and round we went and I was like “no. You Say “se llama”. We never got it

There's a fast food place where I live called Milos and when my little cousin asked where we were going, I told her and she said "your lows"?

I used to say exactly the same thing. I called Miami Daddy's Ami and correct my mother when she said 'Miami,' because my paternal grandparents lived there.
Little did I know, my grand parents retired to Miami long after my Chicago-born father had left their Windy City home.
