Incels do not want to know that ugly guys be smashin

34

u/PloppyPants9000 6d ago

lol, yeah... that undermines their only excuse for being incels: "I'm an incel because I'm fugly, and that's unfixable! It has nothing to do with my toxic personality, which IS fixable!"

2

u/Budsygus 6d ago

More often I see "I'm an incel because women are shallow gold diggers who choose bad boys who knock them up and leave! I'm a nice guy but all women are terrible! Why won't anyone love me!?"

1

u/Both_Lie_7417 5d ago

Well, yeah. Because it's true.

2

u/RecursiveServitor5 5d ago

Please get therapy

u/Budsygus 5d ago

"If everyone around you smells like dog shit, check your shoes."

1

u/Both_Lie_7417 5d ago

Why look at my shoes when I can see a shitheel right in front of me?

2

u/Budsygus 5d ago

Because fixing yourself is the only way you'll realize the common denominator in all your relationships.

But you're definitely not ready for that conversation. You're still in the angry denial phase where you're convinced your problems are someone else's fault. EVERYONE else's fault. You're perfect but women are too stupid to see it.

When you've grown up enough to realize that's not the case (or, more likely, hit rock bottom in some way) your life will change for the better. I just hope you get to that point before it's too late.

I'm pretty sure it's neither totally looks nor personality. They just have a rotten luck in life.

"Why won't anyone be attracted to the boiling hatred that festers inside my heart?!?"

33

u/IJourden 6d ago

Ugly guy here: do smash. Turns out if you're mildly funny, emotionally intelligent, and enjoyable to be around, people like that, and some people be fucking people they like.

9

u/Life_Parsley504 6d ago

Objectively you only need to be emotionally intelligent (aka mature) to make a relationship work. I've had some of my girl friends date unfunny (NOT A BAD THING) quiet guys that just kind of listen and nod their head during conversations.

3

u/Budsygus 6d ago

Takes all sorts to make a world. Some women really like quiet guys. I think more women like a man who can make them laugh, but "be funny" isn't some universal truth to get a relationship.

1

u/TrixieBastard 6d ago

That's really all it takes for many of us. Making us laugh isn't everything or even 100% necessary, but it does earn you a lot of points, so to speak. Throw in a personality that's actually pleasant and regular bathing and you're golden

you probably only go for women way out of your league and ignore women on your level of attractiveness

1

u/Sure_Departure3273 6d ago

women on my level of attractiveness hardly care for me tbh. they want, and generally can have, better looking men than me.

You don’t even have to put in effort. This guy looked like a complete mess on his wedding day

29

u/ItsFuckingScience 6d ago

Where do they think ugly people come from 🤣 there’s ugly people everywhere that are smashing to make the next ugly generation

6

u/DaftFunky 6d ago

Most incels are the way they are because the set sites on the 7+ out 10s and when they refuse to date them they decide they hate all women.

1

u/Sure_Departure3273 6d ago

Incels would probably date that woman who commented though.
They just need a lucky break they are never getting.

2

u/Thats1FingNiceKitty 6d ago

That’s why I’m smashin but not passin.

Truth be told, I just never want to become pregnant.

3

u/Budsygus 6d ago

Truth be told, I just never want to become pregnant.

Me either. Good thing I was born with a penis.

3

u/IJourden 6d ago

Wait til they find out studies consistently show fat people on average have just as good or better sex lives than skinny people.

Or that STDs are a significant problem in nursing homes because I guess if you're 80 and can still pop one off, it's now or never.

1

u/Itscatpicstime 4d ago

I hate that I know this.

But they claim it’s because of rape and use it as a reason why they should be able to rape

3

u/Sure_Departure3273 6d ago

I'm not an incel but it's all down to luck at this point. Incels are not just average or below average looking people. They also have a rotten luck which makes sure they never get any lucky break whatsoever. I know because I'm average looking and I do never get any lucky break whatsoever. It can be really tiring. So I can't imagine the same thing if I looked below average on top of that. Probably destructive.

1

u/Any-Sir8872 5d ago

it’s just confidence bro. if you’re average then you can definitely pull. pretend you’re the shit. then you’ll start to believe it, & the girls will be able to feel that. then you’ll actually become the shit lol

1

u/Sure_Departure3273 4d ago

I'm quite confident. I mean, I don't really care whether they like me or not, it's not all that important anymore. But without luck an average looking dude can spend 100 years without ever finding a woman who truly likes their looks.

2

u/Haunting_Tax_3684 6d ago

I’ll give you a smash

3

u/Phobia562 6d ago

Drag me

3

u/Haunting_Tax_3684 6d ago

You’re getting it now bud

2

u/LikeACycloneCloud 6d ago

Room for one more?

1

u/saryndipitous 5d ago

Hate doesn’t look great on you either.

-1

u/lonjerpc 6d ago

I mean this isn't the best example of that. The guy acted like an incel and that's what got him a partner. Its also one famous example not the rule. And if anything all the upvoted this gets when it's endlessly reposted reinforce the validity of attractivness being highly important. If it wasn't this would be a non story. But it's instead noteworthy

3

u/Phobia562 6d ago

Attractiveness is important, but what makes someone attractive is highly variable. And when I say ugly dudes be fucking, it's me, they're fucking me

-1

u/lonjerpc 6d ago

Its not highly variable. About half of attractiveness is non ideosincratic. And that is cross cultural too. So even when putting things like ethnicity into the non shared bucket you still end up with half of attractiveness being universal.

Obviously ugly people fuck and even manage long term relationships. But that doesn't mean it's not a huge and under addressed form of discrimination.

3

u/Phobia562 6d ago

Two things can be true, a lot of people have prejudice in who they date, and it's easier for some and harder for others. That doesn't mean that a certain look is guaranteed no matches.

0

u/lonjerpc 6d ago

Again I am well aware it's not a guarantee.

2

u/karebearjedi 6d ago

The irony was he was already dating someone when he posted that video and dumped her for the "cuter" girl.

1

u/lonjerpc 5d ago

I mean yeah there is that aspect to. But even without that I think my point stands. The reason anyone cares about this story at all is because its surprising.

1

u/Emotional-Ad9114 6d ago

attractiveness is important. she is attracted to him. the whole point is that beauty is subjective.

1

u/Sure_Departure3273 6d ago

i haven't experienced much of that beauty subjectivity tbh. i'm average looking and no-one ever found me "beautiful", let alone "very beautiful" or worth swooning over.
some find me average, that's it.

0

u/Emotional-Ad9114 5d ago

have you considered that maybe the problem isn’t what you look like?

1

u/Sure_Departure3273 5d ago

The problem is *obviously* what i look like, since i'm talking about whether people find me physically attractive or not.
All I have observed is that beauty is mostly a very objective thing, a set of criteria you either have, or dont have. I don't have them and despite no glaring flaw either, my appearance cries mediocrity, and no subjectivity in the world can ever save mediocrity. My entire life experience is but a confirmation of it.

0

u/Emotional-Ad9114 5d ago

okay buddy

0

u/lonjerpc 5d ago

Except that we actually have really good data around the subjectivity of beauty. Yes in some sense its completely subjective. Its based on our brains which are inherently subjective. But we know that around half of attractiveness is highly shared between people in across different cultures.

1

u/Emotional-Ad9114 5d ago

and? that doesn’t change the fact that she’d attracted to him.

0

u/lonjerpc 5d ago

And? One case is meaningless compared to actual studies on attractiveness. I mean it's important for her but it doesn't allow people to draw any kind of wider conclusion. We do science for a reason

1

u/Emotional-Ad9114 5d ago

you’re not understanding what I’m saying.

I’m aware there are societal standards of attractiveness.

my point is, even if 90% of people find you unattractive, there’s still 10% who do find you attractive. and that’s a shit ton of people. hell, even 1% is a lot of people.

and the same goes the other way around. no one is unattractive to everyone and no one is attractive to everyone.

0

u/lonjerpc 5d ago

It doesn't matter if the 10 percent is still a shit ton of people because of the https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pigeonhole_principle . The math matters

1

u/Emotional-Ad9114 5d ago

at this point you gotta be purposely misunderstanding what I’m saying

0

u/lonjerpc 5d ago

I mean you have no reason to trust me but I am not trying to misunderstand you.

But I do think its fairly likely I am at least partially misunderstanding you given the nature of this way of communicating. But its not on purpose.

I mean I think we largely agree that the extremes are false. Clearly attractiveness is not everything but it also clearly as some effect. I think the real discrepancy lies in our understanding of that difficulty. You see it as something that can always be overcome at least on the individual level. Which I agree is true. But you are missing the point that on the aggregate level it isn't true. This is the point of the pigeon hole principle. Some people are required to lose. Higher effort from some will just make it even harder for others.
