The arguments over the "right" colors for subjects is the kind of discourse I need to see on the internet. My 8 yo self did red for math, green for science, blue for social studies and yellow for language arts đ
unrelated but in like 5th grade or so, i had a classmate that no one knew was colorblind. we were having a discussion about colors (this was almost 20 years ago so i cant remember the whole conversation) and the conversation led to âwhatâs the color of fried chickenâ to which said classmate said green. the teacher looked at him in shock and instead of being like haha youâre silly, she reprimanded him. he bursts out in full tears âi donât know what i did, itâs green i swear, im not trying to be badâ. she asks a few follow up questions about other food items (tomatoes, bread) and iâll never forget the look of regret in her eyes when she realizes he was colorblind the whole time
Lucky him. My teacher found out I am colorblind after humiliating me then it got worse after she discovered that. My parents reported her to the school board which did nothing and pulled me out of school and homeschooled me for the rest of my elementary year so I didnât have to deal with her.
