I shall commit myself to change after a brief rehabilitation exile.

Or puts their books on their bookshelves in chronological order...

No, duh, sorted by hue and then tiebreaks by the birthdate of the author 🤪👍

Hmm, I tiebreak by the alphabetical order of the typeface

The secret is to have all your folders the same color so it’s easier to do homework in classes which have the most checked-out teachers without it being obvious to the point where you get caught.

I hate this idea, but also have to respect the hustle.

I just assumed it was an American thing. I barely even used folders when I was in school. Just had various books with printed sheets stuffed inside them.

when I stumbled on a similar thread a few months ago I was so confused. Until I realised its an American thing

Yeah, it's not an American thing. Reddit is just weird sometimes. I never cared or even thought about it, or even knew that other people thought about it, until this thread.

In elementary school that had us bring certain colored folders with a matching notebook. The first day we would label them according to the subject. The teacher then could look over and see if everyone had the right color out for the subject. It also helped when turning notebooks or folders for homework.
