Science green. Math red. History blue. English yellow

792

u/WhatTheFlox Aug 26 '26

Always felt math was blue, history red, science green and English was missing and/or yellow

164

u/Ali_ayi Aug 26 '26

"History is written in blood" red just fits

75

u/celiac-sufferer Aug 26 '26

I had a history teacher who corrected with red pen because she wanted us to visualize our mistakes as blood bleeding from our errors.

She was also in love with napoleon and believed his wife’s ghost was haunting her. Very interesting class.

26

u/SaffronRnlds Aug 26 '26

"visualize our mistakes as blood bleeding from our errors"

Totally normal and not intense at all. i love it

What grade were you in??

9

u/celiac-sufferer Aug 26 '26

Im in Quebec so it was in cegep which is like our grade 11 mixed with college. It was filled with kooks, had one teacher that would draw on the floor and walls to demonstrate his points

2

u/WhatTheFlox Aug 26 '26

"Every surface is important in the eyes of progress"

2

u/wowzermyguy Aug 26 '26

school wouldve been much more fun if i had teachers like yours lmao

1

u/SaffronRnlds Aug 26 '26

That sounds amazing.

And I have to know, did the visualization work?

1

u/celiac-sufferer Aug 27 '26

I mean kind of. He was trying to explain the concept of 4D by drawing a square on the ground and standing in it. He also ran out of board space and just continued on the wall. Occasionally he’d lie on the floor and would give kids who missed their tests the exam to take home and complete 🤣 he was the total opposite of my history teacher he didn’t take any of it seriously at all.

To be fair he was a pretty big shot professor at a prestigious university so I think the cegep gig was just for extra cash lol. When I attended the uni everyone knew who he was. He also did amateur opera in his spare time

3

u/Next-Tomatillo-6509 Aug 26 '26

Wtf i wish i had your teacher

5

u/celiac-sufferer Aug 26 '26

Lol she was interesting. She took every opportunity to emphasize how ugly napoleons wife was mixed with stories of her hauntings.

1

u/MidoriMidnight Aug 26 '26

Sounds better than my teacher who was distantly related to Mary Todd Lincoln, and absolutely flipped her shit when it was suggested Abe was gay

1

u/HotPotParrot Aug 26 '26

Lol my AP World teacher met a wanted terrorist while playing hackysack under the Eiffel Tower. Also a fun class.

1

u/celiac-sufferer Aug 26 '26

I had a professor who taught a Saudi princess and got her to write an essay on the inner dynamics of the royal family. Also a fun class he would dress as a pirate

1

u/Keaton427 Aug 26 '26

Mistakes are often a good thing in school so I hate that she said that.

If you’re wrong on purpose, that isn’t a mistake. This means mistakes offer to teach you.

2

u/celiac-sufferer Aug 26 '26

Yeah she definitely was not of that philosophy.

She took a whole 15 min our first class to explain what standard deviation was so we all knew how average we were and that even with a 90% it didn’t mean we were excelling. Stoked a lot of competitiveness and back stabbing in the program. We all changed after that class lol

22

u/TheWolphman Aug 26 '26

"Math makes me want to blow my brains out" red is relatable though.

3

u/SmallFox3 Aug 26 '26

Absolutely this, math was my least favorite subject, I cried at the kitchen table so many nights trying to do math & the folder it went in was definitely red.

2

u/Keaton427 Aug 26 '26

I see yellow as the sepia filter for history. Well mainly that, but history also just feels yellow.

1

u/Slierfox Aug 26 '26

How can it be it's only ever written by those still alive

1

u/VoopityScoop Aug 26 '26

With bloody hands

1

u/Slierfox Aug 27 '26

They may have "blood on their hands" but they ain't the ones fighting there the ones sending your family to do the fighting.

1

u/NekonecroZheng Aug 26 '26

"Why isn't history white?"

It already is.

25

u/TheDude41102 Aug 26 '26

The only correct answer. History is bloody. Biology loves green. Math is cold and calculating like ice. English is whatever other color I had.

5

u/impals Aug 26 '26

English was black in my opinion. All the colors of science, history, math, etc!

82

u/No_Situation6555 Aug 26 '26

Yeah I did math blue science green, agreed.

14

u/bigeeee Aug 26 '26

I didn't go to school!

u/Moretti123 Aug 26 '26

English and history are reversed. English was red and history was yellow. Math blue, science green. At least in my chicago suburbs school it was lol

12

u/UltimateFartingChamp Aug 26 '26

I’m on team #mathisblue 💯

6

u/MentallyCrumbled Aug 26 '26

This. This is the one.

17

u/Affectionate-Ant-894 Aug 26 '26

Agree. Math was blue

2

u/YaumeLepire Aug 26 '26

I usually switched mine around every so often.

Then, in Cégep, my binders were black, so no dice.

2

u/HeatherJMD Aug 26 '26

I would choose the same!

2

u/hxf10a Aug 26 '26

thisssss

2

u/SampleShrimp Aug 26 '26

This is the one.

2

u/YourM0msBoyfriend Aug 26 '26

Perfect! Exactly this!

3

u/ranchspidey Aug 26 '26

you are correct and i’m glad to finally see a comment validating my color-subject associations

1

u/KindBench2700 Aug 26 '26

Finally a sand person.  Math is blue.

1

u/vizslavizsla Aug 26 '26

Yessss someone finally got it right

1

u/RubPublic3359 Aug 26 '26

This guy knows ball

1

u/Nearby-Gas7951 Aug 26 '26

This is the way

1

u/TeRozoConMiTrozo Aug 26 '26

Math is red, dont try to gaslight me. (Its a joke)

1

u/Left_Ocean Aug 26 '26

This is the way

1

u/ProudlyAHufflepuff Aug 26 '26

THIS IS THE CORRECT ONE THANK YOU

1

u/ErgoDestati Aug 26 '26

Math is definitely blue

1

u/EternalDuskGaming Aug 26 '26

I had to scroll so far to see math is blue 😆

1

u/BarderBetterFaster Aug 26 '26

Math is blue if you're a math enjoyer.

1

u/ineverreddit Aug 26 '26

You got it bang on in my books. Math is blue like the "prentice-hall" stripe on textbooks. Science is green because uhh duh plants and shit? History/social studies is red for the blood of the past, and english is yellow to represent the teeth of the mother tongue 😭

1

u/86cinnamons Aug 26 '26

You know what ….. ok.

1

u/elrangarino Aug 26 '26

English is most definitely blue. I’m open to history also being green.

1

u/yourlocalbadb1tch Aug 27 '26

yes!! Finally someone said it right

1

u/Different_Tailor_780 Aug 27 '26

Oh my god FINALLY. This is the one!

1

u/konafan Aug 26 '26

This is correct

1

u/NovaNova312 Aug 26 '26

I always English was red. History was whatever other color I happened to have.

-1

u/Prophessor_Z Aug 26 '26

English is red cause I hated it and 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿

0

u/wetfloor666 Aug 26 '26

I am with you on that. It matches the subjects much better and is how I did it.

0

u/Requiredmetrics Aug 26 '26

This is correct

-2

u/ttwinstanley Aug 26 '26

I lived west coast Midwest and east coast and used these colors all my school years

Mom was from east coast and dad was from Midwest (he was not very involved during my childhood)

-2

u/lebslebslebs Aug 26 '26

Science is orange/yellow for me. English blue, Math green.

17

u/crimson_anemone Aug 26 '26

Looking at the replies... Did everyone just give their least favorite subject the red folder? 😂

1

u/ChesterHiggenbothum Aug 26 '26

I'm in my 40s and going to law school and my least favorite course is always red on my calendar

28

u/momonomino Aug 26 '26

My kid laughed at me when I said Math was red. She said math is blue and English is red.

16

u/LimeMargarita Aug 26 '26

She's wrong, but you still have time to fix her.

2

u/Chaos-Wayfarer Aug 26 '26

Yea, people that say math is blue are wrong.

Math is red because it makes me see red when I do it. My brain is not friends with math.

2

u/PyrZern Aug 26 '26

History is red because it's full of bloodshed and war :/

1

u/Chaos-Wayfarer Aug 26 '26 edited Aug 26 '26

An acceptable alternative. I’ll accept it if you agree that math isn’t blue.

1

u/PyrZern Aug 26 '26

Personally, I'd say Science should be blue.

2

u/Chaos-Wayfarer Aug 26 '26

I could go either blue or green for science, so sure!

1

u/Fit_Platypus_583 Aug 26 '26

English is read.

1

u/Chaos-Wayfarer Aug 26 '26

Okay, you get points for the pun, but I still disagree. :P

1

u/MidoriMidnight Aug 26 '26

Math is red or black; accting wise you're 'in the red' etc

Blue is English, for the curtains

1

u/Necessary_Garlic6432 Aug 26 '26

Math is red because everyone involved gets pissed off lmao.

7

u/flyinggazelletg Aug 26 '26

Math blue, history red, science green, English yellow

6

u/rdg04 Aug 26 '26

in my mind history is yellow and english is blue- the rest is correct lol

11

u/MHG73 Aug 26 '26

You got history and English backwards. History yellow, English blue, math red, science green.

1

u/Fit_Platypus_583 Aug 26 '26

No, you've got it all right, but math is blue and English is red!

1

u/ChesterHiggenbothum Aug 26 '26

Yes. Yes, this one sounds familiar

1

u/ArcanePudding Aug 26 '26

THANK YOU FINALLY

10

u/LightscaleSword Aug 26 '26

History yellow and English blue, but science green and maths red is right.

3

u/front_yard_duck_dad Aug 26 '26

40 years old and I hate both math and red to this day. It's pavlovian

3

u/No_Scallion174 Aug 26 '26

No, science blue, history green, math yellow, English red.

1

u/Paranormal_Lemon Aug 27 '26

You got the first two right.

3

u/Jv01 Aug 26 '26

History blue is wild

7

u/de_Luke1 Aug 26 '26

English green or blue (swapped somewhere along the way) Math red history brown... Btw I am german

2

u/Huyous Aug 26 '26

Can I ask whether you preferred English or History?

1

u/Informal_West_6864 Aug 26 '26

Preferred history

1

u/Huyous Aug 26 '26

I preferred English and it was blue, wonder if that plays a part. Science and Math 100% green and red though

2

u/Zappagrrl02 Aug 26 '26

This is the correct answer! Orange/Purple for specials/foreign language

2

u/WWMWPOD17 Aug 26 '26

Math was black… like it made my heart

2

u/Beginning-Tutor-2813 Aug 26 '26

History was yellow and English blue for me!

4

u/Top_Hat_Ginger Aug 26 '26

Math is blue

2

u/SantaCruzHostel Aug 26 '26

Yes, red math doesn't even make sense!

1

u/Saneless Aug 26 '26

Finally someone with sense

1

u/Splungeblob Aug 26 '26

The one true answer.

1

u/Necessary_Garlic6432 Aug 26 '26

Agree on science and math, but History was yellow because it reminded me of aged paper. English was blue because it was my best subject/fav color.

1

u/TheMoatCalin Aug 26 '26

Is this universal? Am I supposed to know this?

1

u/PizzaDay Aug 26 '26

This is the way.

1

u/SadMcWorker Aug 26 '26

finally someone puts english and history the right way lol

1

u/Simple-Mulberry64 Aug 26 '26

english blue. History gets the miscellanious black one or if you're being extra it's yellow (because sepia tone)

1

u/lazyTurtle7969 Aug 26 '26

Pretty close for me but I flip flop math and English

1

u/someguy_420 Aug 26 '26

Couldn't have said it better myself

1

u/Alternative-Moose308 Aug 26 '26

Science green, history orange, math blue, English yellow all smushed into a white binder

1

u/DolphinThunder Aug 26 '26

Science - Green (cause acid and plants duh)
English - Red (like Read)
History - Yellow (old paper is yellowish)
Math - Blue (idk it’s just always been blue)

1

u/Lucky_Veruca Aug 26 '26

History is red, math is blue.

1

u/lenief Aug 26 '26

Nah language is blue

1

u/cumulus_floccus Aug 26 '26

Science green. Math blue. English yellow. History red.

1

u/Half_Man1 Aug 26 '26

Nah, history is yellow like aged print. English is blue like grammar check underlines on word.

1

u/Devanyani Aug 26 '26

Nah History is yellow like the old pages it's written on. English is blue like the sky when you daydream. Math is brown like the foundation of everything.

1

u/laurenbanjo Aug 26 '26

History was red for me because it’s my least favorite subject and least favorite color, plus red for blood for all the wars and stuff. Math was blue because I like the color blue and I like math, but my favorite color was green so that went to science which was my favorite subject. English was also yellow for me.

1

u/vixisgoodenough Aug 26 '26

This is the way.

1

u/babiboogie Aug 27 '26

Absolutely this and I am not taking questions

0

u/whatisthisdream- Aug 26 '26

This is so very accurate lol
