Long enough for these stars to dim

I remember when I used to have those on my ceiling. I also had sheeps.
When I couldn't sleep, my mom told me to "count the sheeps". Being the first time I heard of that, I counted the sheeps I could see.
Then I'd go back to tell her "There are 7 of them"

I could see myself counting the story back to my mom, and whether she'd remember or not, I'm sure she'd laugh at how typically me that story is
