Thank you! I got a hat hoop from kens sewing - should come up if you Google “Durkee Embroidery Cap Frame for Brother or Baby Lock 4x4 Inch Embroidery Machines” it’s a bit pricy ($90) but what isn’t in this hobby of ours lol. Kens sewing center has a tutorial and shows you how to use it. Once you get the hang of it your hats will come out clean even if you have a flatbed machine (I use it on the brother se700) - I have not really gotten it to work with a structured hat but anything soft will work!

Thanks for your answer! I already have my eye on the Durkee frame so I think I'm going for it now. :)

Yes do it! I think it’s really great with sticky stabilizer. Def worth the investment.

Thank you! I would check kens sewing center - I’m not sure about what the hoop looks like!

What machine do you use? I’m a beginner too and don’t have a dedicated embroidery machine but one that does both.

I have the brother se700! Pretty solid beginner machine and can also be used as a sewing machine.

Wow! That is so impressive! I just got mine (a used Pfaff) that does both and I’m scared to try it lol

Take the plunge! It’s so fun once you get the hang of it.

Did you just go from the info in your manual or do you have a good beginner’s resource? I’m most caught up but the idea of choosing the stabilizer, to be honest!

I went through the manual a bit to get it set up but then I watched a lot of YouTube / tik tok for guidance and lots of trial and error practice! I’m a visual learner so seeing someone else do it helped me.
