Book Request Looking for forbidden MM romance that’s VERY explicit but has a HEA

69 Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m looking for MM romances where the relationship is absolutely, completely forbidden. I don’t care what makes it forbidden, as long as the stakes are high and the romance feels intense.

It could be rival families, sexuality, forbidden circumstances, taboo relationships like stepbrothers or incest, or anything else that makes their relationship something they’re absolutely not supposed to have.

Give me the kind of romance where being together feels impossible, the stakes are high, and they want each other desperately anyway.

BUT THERE’S ONE NON-NEGOTIABLE REQUIREMENT: A HAPPY ENDING (HEA)!

I want all the forbidden, messy, intense drama, but I refuse to suffer through an entire book just to get a tragic ending.

Book Request Looking for books with a cuddly straight friend

39 Upvotes

Hi!

I'm looking for books that have similar dynamic to {Season's Change by Cait Nary}.

By that I mean that the two MC are friends (one of them may or may not be gay) and they're very cuddly and sweet to each other without it necessarily being "gay" (although one would argue that it is quite gay and I'm all for it) or them being together. The one MC is still straight and doesn't question this need and how it's not "normal" in our society.

A more specific example from this book:

Benji (the straight MC) cuddles and sleeps (real sleep, not sex) with his friend (gay MC) when they're in hotels during their games. Or later when they're in Mexico on holiday with their friends and nobody questions them being so sweet with each other (e.g. Benji grabs Olly and makes him sit on beside him or even on his lap). Although at that point they do have sex.

This specific book is about hockey, but I don't really care whether it's about sports or not. Only that specific dynamic. I'm not into mafia/police and similar genres, although that may be of interest to other people who look for the same dynamic, so feel free to recommend those as well. :)

P.S.: I searched for this book in this subreddit, but those recommended books weren't really what I was looking for... hence this post.

Update: Thanks, guys, for so many great recommendations! I think my "Want to read" list is filled for the entire 2027 😄

Review/Recommendation The Wulver's Bond by Edwina Lindsey

25 Upvotes

I can't even believe this book! It was so amazing. I felt obliged to make its own post. Here is what it features:

  • a small fae with a lot of trauma after being chained, bound, and owned for years. All he knows is hurt and so expects it. He also likes to goad the wulver.
  • extremely gentle giant wulver (wolfman) who wants the fae to be free, he sees the kindness and softness in the fae and sees how he was hurt. While he doesn't want to own the fae, he also wants to mark and mate him. He hides from the world because it has hurt him before.
  • both of them are touch starved. Who caves first! Also forced proximity.
  • learning/communicating about dominance/submission in a world that does not have this language
  • trading dominance/submission every moment
  • the best lines of devotion I have read. Beautifully written - especially the parts about trauma and betrayal- and poetic. And also smutty. Poetic smut.

I won't say no to more recommendations like this if you know the vibe of this book. {The Wulver's Bond by Edwina Lindsey}

The epic writing of this book reminded me of {Nor Iron Bars a Cage by Kaje Harper}, I also recommend that.

Book Request Light and low angst alien/paranormal x average joe human

24 Upvotes

Feeling in desperate need of silly, light books with zero reminding me of normal life and the current real world dumpster fire lol. Aiming for something like {A Happy Nightmare by Mars Quinn} - books that leave you with a warm and cozy nice feeling. With weird mixed in.

Hard no = major angst, cheating, poly
Soft no = mpreg (prefer no but if it’s not the main story it’s ok)

Books I’ve read and enjoyed:

(Note I have read Mars Quinn’s other alien books - and while I love them, they are not low angst lol)

- {Whims of Gods by Mel R. Bright} and the sequels
- {The Orc and the Manny by Chloe Archer}, and the sequels, and connected book {A Highland Gargoyle’s Lucky Star by Chloe Archer}
-the Monstrous Series by Lily Mayne {Soul Eater by Lily Mayne}
- the Goliaths of Wrestling by Lily Mayne (Impromtu Match by Lily Mayne}
- {You’re Not My King by Eryn Hawk} and sequels
- {The Fating by Dianna Roman}
-Mythical Mishaps series {Shroom For Improvement by Jemma Croft}
-Fangs on Ice series {Puck & Plume by Rhea Fox}
-Coveted Bonds series {How to Train Your Human Omega by Arden Fox}
-Passing Through Cafe series {Passing Through Purgatory by Nik Knight}
-{The Nokk and the Jock by Leslie McAdam}
-Relic series {Smash & Grab by Maz Maddox} (dino shifters!!)

That’s all I can think of!! Hit me with your recs. And I hope some of you enjoy this list!

Book Request MC is paraded around naked and embarrassed

19 Upvotes

I usually see this type of scene in straight romances where the guy makes the girl get naked and parades her around fully nude, so I'm accepting any recomendation that is MLM

Any type of scene where he makes the guy take off all his clothes and walk around, It can be a empty public space with the risk of being seen or with actual people, he is embarrassed but also kinda turned on, he can steal his clothes, win a bet that makes him get naked, pranks him, orders him to do that while he is reluctant etc...

Erotica Requests Erotica Requests & Recs: Post your erotica & specific sex act requests & recs here

18 Upvotes

The Place for Erotica and Sex Act Specifics

Want some short and sweet erotica? Just need to read a book with sounding, no matter what else is in it? Just read something with this kind of content and want to share a recommendation?

Post it here in the Erotica Requests thread!

Requests that are seeking erotica recommendations and/or specific sex acts must be made here. You don't have to come up with extra specifics for your requests, similar to The Less Scary Request Place on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Please make sure your request follows our other rules (for example, rule 6, our privacy rule).

Anyone can answer requests made in this post. Not all recommendations have to be specifically erotica, but that is the main goal of this request thread.

Important Note: This post goes up on Thursday mornings (US time). Requests made after Thursday ends are less likely to get replies. You are welcome to comment here on any day of the week, but you may want to save your requests for an upcoming Thursday.

Definitions

Erotica: A piece of fiction that focuses primarily on sex, where the plot is secondary and serves the sexual content within. Unlike in genre romances, in erotica a HEA/HFN is not required.

A book having a lot of sex or having kink content does not make it inherently erotica -- what matters is whether the focus of the book is on the romantic relationship and getting to a HEA/HFN, or not.

Erotic Romance: A genre romance that has high sexual content. Erotic romances can be recommended here, but are not required to be requested here.

Request for specific sex act: A request that can be read as "when the characters have sex, I want them to do X" and where that's the main thing the requester is asking for.

This would not include something like a general request that the book contain explicit sex, for example. It isn't meant to sweep in any request that mentions sex, just requests where the point is to find a specific type of sex scene.

This feature is posted every Thursday. You can find the complete schedule of all weekly and monthly features at this link.

Book Request MM books with trans characters 🏳️‍⚧️

• Upvotes

Hi everyone! I’m looking for contemporary MM romances featuring trans men, whether one or both MCs are trans. I’d love recommendations with characters at any stage of their transition, before or after any kind of surgery (top surgery, bottom surgery, etc.), as well as characters who haven’t had or don’t want surgery.

I’m open to different contemporary romance tropes, and I’d love both books where being trans is a central part of the story and books where it’s simply one aspect of the character’s life.

I’m not into fantasy or omegaverse, and I’d prefer to avoid large age gaps between the MCs.
Bonus points for sweet, affectionate romances with lots of reassurance, praise, and a supportive relationship!

Please share any recommendations you have, and if possible, let me know the tropes your rec includes!!🩵🤍🩷

Discussion Strangely low reviews on Audible

10 Upvotes

I always cross reference reviews on Audible (or Kobo) against Goodreads.

{Frost & Fire by Ana Ashley} came up in audible plus. The reviews on Goodreads was 4.12 with 55 opinions and on Amazon.ca it shows 4.4 with 394 reviews.

On audible it has 2 reviews. It's a Christmas story not Shakespeare so the one review was hmmm with a 2 for story and a 4.for narration but okay...but the other review was a 1 and 1....and the narrator was Alexander Cendese. I think it was someone who didn't know they were reading an mm or something else is going on because that does not compute for me. So I am listening to it just to leave an honest review because this feels vindictive to me. It's not the first time I have seen out of wack reviews that don't make sense to me. Anyone else notice this?

Quick Question Embriagado by Tal Lewin NSFW Spoiler

9 Upvotes

I know the author’s note says the sexual assault doesn’t happen between the MCs, but does one of them get sexually assaulted by someone else, or does it happen to a side character? And if it happens to one of the MCs, is it in the past or present?

Book Request Unhealthy dynamic but NOT erotica

9 Upvotes

Smut is okay as long as it doesn’t take too much space.

I would prefer the characters to be young adults (between 18-30 years old).

Thank you :)

LGBTQIA+ Reads Monthly LGBTQIA+ Roundup & Recommendations (October 15 2026)

7 Upvotes

Share Your LGBTQIA+ Reads

While this sub is devoted to MM Romance, many of us read outside the genre. This post is a place to discuss all LGBTQIA+ books you read this month that weren’t MM Romance.

Perhaps you read a FF fantasy you couldn’t put down, or a LGBTQIA+ history that was amazing. Maybe there’s a MF romance with really great trans representation that you want to recommend. Let us know in the comments below.

It would be helpful to list the genre of the book, along with the type of LGBTQIA+ representation in the book. Please be mindful of giving content warnings and marking spoilers.

Request LGBTQIA+ Books

You can also use this thread to make book requests for LGBTQIA+ books, from F/F romance to LGBTQIA+ nonfiction and everything in between. Please make your request specific, per our normal rules for book requests (e.g., please don't simply request "any F/F romance").

This feature is posted on the third Sunday of every month. Click here for past posts. You can find the complete schedule of all weekly and monthly features at this link.

What Was That Book Called WWTBC MC1 “rebounds” with MC2 after bff drama

7 Upvotes

I’m looking for a contemporary MM romance, possibly college/NA, that may be part of an interconnected series or a spin-off.

At this point i feel like it’s something I’ve made up in my mind 😅

MC1 has a falling-out with his best friend and the friend’s boyfriend in an earlier book. In his own book, he shows up unexpectedly at MC2’s doorstep, upset and needing somewhere to go. MC2 is someone he knows peripherally, possibly a friend-of-a-friend. Both MMC are introduced in earlier book.

They start a casual, sex-focused relationship, with MC1 gradually catching feelings and becoming more emotionally attached, while MC2 is initially more detached and wants to keep things casual.

I remember the vibe being similar to Lover Boy by Brianna Flores, especially the messy friendship drama and emotional fallout.

I may be mixing up some details, so the doorstep scene and the connection to an earlier book are the clues I’m most confident about.

I remember it having some d/s-kink flair but not a downright BDSM book.

It could be a standalone by an author who writes interconnected series, like Eden Finley and Saxon James, or a spin-off where a side character from another book becomes an MC.
Does this ring a bell?

It’s not:

Lover boy by Brianna Flores

Virgin flyer by Lucy Lennox

Project hero by Briar Prescott

Whiskey sour by Addison beck

Quick Question Question about the Perfect Pixie/Necromancer Tales universe by MJ May

5 Upvotes

I know Necromancer Tales is a spinoff series, but was Erasmus introduced in the Perfect Pixie series at all? I'm reading Deadly Lineage because necromancers are more up my alley than pixies and there's references to some characters from the previous series but I don't know if they actually interacted at all in that series and I'm curious.
