There aren't many villain songs in mlp fim but this should he a fun discussion. Thinking she'll have on the moment she appear in the pilot episodes right at the moment where she appear in city hall.

Plounge Blood on the Clocktower

For the past couple of months I've been running Blood on the Clocktower games on the official Plounge Discord server. It's going pretty well, but we wouldn't mind more players, and that's the reason for this post! If you're interested in social deduction gaming with fellow Ploungers, this is the post for you.

What Is Blood on the Clocktower?

It's a social deduction game, similar to games like Mafia, Werewolf, Town of Salem, Avalon. Players are split into two teams. The Good team have the advantage of numbers but the Evil team know who each other are. The game runs with a day phase and a night phase. Players are killed each night and everyone votes on executions each day.

In Blood on the Clocktower (BotC for short), every player has a unique character with an ability and is arranged in a circle (like a clockface!). You might be the good Chef, who learns how many pairs of evil players neighbour each other. You might be the evil Poisoner, who poisons a player each night so their ability doesn't work. The Good team must find and execute the Demon, the singular big bad. While the Evil team must destroy the town by reducing it to two alive players.

Unlike similar games, if you die it's not the end for you. You lose your ability and may only vote once more during the rest of the game, but you can still talk, including privately, as much as any alive player.

More information about BotC can be found on its official wiki. If you're brand new to it I'd start on the Trouble Brewing page. (The beginner scenario, or 'script' in the lingo)

When and Where?

We currently run every Saturday. Evening in American timezones, midnight UTC at present (but Daylight Saving Time may affect this). A single game usually takes about an hour and we typically do two or three.

As mentioned, we run these games on the official Plounge Discord server, the join instructions are here. (yes I know this post is almost a decade old but the discord is still active) We do vet who we let in, you'll be more likely to get in if you drop a comment here first. Once you're in, mark yourself as interested in the event, and/or just turn up at the right time. We're beginner friendly, no experience in BotC or even social deduction games generally necessary.

TL;DR Blood on the Clocktower on the official Plounge Discord Server wowee
