I finally finished the tutorial, so now I can move on to the actual game (ahem, Risen Elder Dragons ahem). The problem is that monsters keep using me as a punching bag, and I’m still struggling to get my Bow counters right.

Would it be worth sacrificing some affinity to run more Evade skills? If so, would you recommend Evade Window or Evade Extender?

For context, I have a talisman with Berserk +1 and Evade Window +4. Would that be enough, or should I look for something else entirely?

I finally got around to playing sunbreak and was practicing fighting Garangolm in the Arena and then I did the craziest dodge in my whole life.

I'm pretty sure the amount of rewards are no way in hell normal? How much are the rewards on other platforms

Being retired from the game for 2 to 3 yrs, felt the urge to revisit the endgame level 300 and Special Investgations solo using my favorite weapon, LS. Surprised I was still able to counter the ambush.

I've been trying multiple times different inputs with dodges in between but I can't get it to work am I something wrong in my inputs or not using a different button entirely?

I stopped playing Rise to hop on Wilds when it released. Now that it's downtime until the DLC is out I wanted to come back and see Rise through to the end. I missed the wirebugs above all else!

I left Rise early into Master Rank. Walking around the castle refreshed my memory somewhat and I do plan to re-read all the Hunter Notes to re-familiarize myself with the basics, but I was wondering if any of you has any piece of advice or some info I would've known by now?

Particularly, I was wondering if there's any aspect of High Rank endgame that carries over into or has some relevance in Master Rank. Anything in High Rank that I should do/get before or during my time in Master Rank?

Hopped back on MH Rise after a while and I think it’s time to explore a new weapon!

I have 350 hours in total and probably 300 of that goes to Insect Glaive and 50 to Swag axe.

For some reason, I’m seeing the fights a little bit slower than I remember and I’m actually reading monster windup animations. Which kinda makes me want to be more deliberate with my movements.

Obvious options are: Great Sword or BONK. Are there any weapons I should consider? If not, what are the defining qualities of those two weapons that I should consider when picking?

Pre-ordered this guy 4 months ago and it finally arrived. Needless to say I am blown away by the quality of the sculpt and paintjob. Roaring Wild Studio did an excellent job on this model and was definitely worth the wait!

Hey peeps, I'm a newcomer to the series who started out last month (really having a blast) and I'm currently at MR 124/AR 122. I've been trying out various builds for all weapons for the past week (not that I'm that good at any of them, I just get bored easily haha).

I just came across the beauty that is the Bullet Barrage silkbind and would like to make a build that plays around that silkbind.

I've seen some build examples for this and have tried to match the skills somewhat, but I don't have access to the Risen Shagaru set yet. I think I need its coil piece?

The armor I'm using: Risen Kushala head, Amatsu body, Amatsu arms, Bazelgeuse coil X, and Nephilim greaves.

Should I stick to this for the time being or are there anything I should swap out? I'm thinking of swapping out decos, particularly the guard/up stuff, but not sure with what.

Hi everyone, I'm a rather new player and Rise is my first game. I know that the fights in this game are faster-paced than other MH game, but wow MR is just a different ball park. I'm MR 56 right now and it seem like everything got juiced to max and move like crazy. I was getting hit so much vs monster like Malzeno, Velkhana, Rajang,... If it wasn't for my 800+ defense armor I'd have carted multiple time.

It feel like the monsters are too fast for the character to keep up with. I know that they are that way to deal with the mobility that hunter has with wirebug, but this might be a bit overboard. Wirebug are cool, but it's not enough to make up for how slow your character is. Animation still take forever to finish, movement is very clunky. I don't mind the jank combat but fighting a monster that move at Mach 5 with both hand tied behind my back is not that fun. And the funny thing is that I still finish most quest first try (at around under 30 minutes I'm not that good). Monster's hit just have no weight. I don't sweat as much like when I take damage in FU.

This is my only complain with Sunbreak. I still love the expansion and hope to try other MH games in the future. Thank you for reading this post and good luck with your hunt!

I've been a Lance player this whole time but I wanted to learn a new weapon so I decided to give DB a try and they seem super fun and straightforward which I really appreciate. I was wondering if any experienced DB users have some tips that I should know to get the most out of the weapon. I already know that Elemental builds are the way to go, so anything else would be greatly appreciated.

I’m new to Monster Hunter as a series and picked up rise and world because a buddy plays. I fell in love with the mizutsune and the armor. Unfortunately I need claws. I have captured twenty three of the little shits and they aren’t dropping, I have two. The wiki says it’s an 80% drop and 12% for a kill. I’m losing my mind.
