Neither were pens, their pen was soft but because the ref called it a pen there was enough contact that they couldn’t say that it wasn’t and it needed to be overturned. It happens, now him being in the way was really unfortunate but also not something to be mad at him for.

I love him. He leans into the role. Couldn't think of a better person to have around in terms of helping to withstand the bullshit going on. I really hope he'll stick around but who knows. I'll enjoy him while we have him though.

I didn't mind the ref not giving us the pens, at least one was a clear dive but I thought the Cherki one was 50/50. I thought the ref was just really inconsistent, and this Enzo clip wasn't the only instance he was bad with his positioning.
I can firmly say the ref wasn't the reason we lost tonight. Usually a City loss ruins my day but honestly I'm just happy we fought back and outscored them in the second half.
