A reminder for us and rivals.

I'm sure we're all feeling a little uneasy about what will happen with the charges. I'm sure we've all been on the recieving end of banter or just outright abuse from rival fans. It's easy to get caught up in the media shit storm, for us and them. We can have those conversations when it's resolved. If we are guilty then we deal with it. As it stands though... We have one of the best strikers in the world. We have probably the most rounded midfielder in the world. We have another midfielder who is the best right back in the league. We have a midfield maverick who is second to none on his day. We have a winger who can leave the very best defenders on the floor. And we have kids getting minutes that could be even better than any of their counterparts. Don't let this get overlooked. The arguments about how we got here won't go away until (and prob even after) the case is closed and done. Either way, nobody can deny that this current team is amazing and will probably get even better. Nobody can deny this team is great. The negativity bombarding us right now only makes it more impressive.

Charges can’t take away my high school friends making fun of me for choosing City over United in the early 2000’s.

Charges can’t take away 93:20

Charges can’t take away Pep redefining what the premier league is.

Charges can’t take away what this club has meant to me, to you, to anyone.

City til I fucking die.

Spot on. Nothing will change how I've felt. I'll always relish the rags desperately clinging on to their "history" as we become the present and the future. I'll still tell the story of where I was for 93.20 (should have been working but talked my way into a two hour break) I'll always remember Peps insane unpredictability, for better and for worse. We've had some great years but Gillingham at Wembley is still one of my greatest memories. Whatever happens I'll be in the stadium or at the pub supporting this team because, as you said, we're City til we fucking die!

I reckon we'll get a big points deduction and eventually finish 17th. Only other thing I think you can compare it to would be Calciopoli, and it's not that bad. They just spent more money and lied about it.

It won't be enough points to relegate them, I am pretty confident of that

I don't like giving credence to rumours but I've heard the prem were ready to just issue a fine but City still went to appeal. Considering all the potential punishments being suggested just a fine seems like the most lenient we could hope for. If they've rejected that they must be confident. But rumours are just that for now.

I read something about this as well that back in 2024 or earlier there was a conversation about a settlement with just a fine and a transfer ban but the club are so adamant that they’re innocent that anything suggesting any guilt would not be good enough for them.

Makes sense since whatever happens here will inevitably not just stain the club but also the far far larger investments that Khaldoons and Mansours other companies are making/have made.

Just out of curiosity where was it you heard that?

Honestly can't remember. I'm currently a mess of hypocritical contradiction. I say I'm not bothered, it's not worth getting pulled into all the media hype, just wait for the official statements while watching an unhealthy amount of bs on YouTube about it all. I wanna say Johnny (Typical City) but it could easily be Dave in work... Like I say though, rumours are just that.

It is because of the legal implication when the other clubs try to beg money from City if City admitted they were guilty

Anyone who confidently says they know where this thing is going to land with the charges or punishments is on crack imo. No one knows, we just have to be patient and wait and see.

In the mean time if others want to put asterisks or wild claims about past titles then who cares. That’s entirely for them. I saw a Man City team get 100 points, do a domestic clean sweep, win a treble, 4 in a row and just generally play some of the best football we’ve ever seen in England.

If you’d told me that when I was playing total club manager 2004 that I’d see a city team surpass my achievements in that game then I just wouldn’t believe you 😂

We’re City and we fight till the end!

Umm... That's exactly why they want City thrown down the leagues. Because they are bitter and jealous of the players City have. All we've seen is people living out their fan fiction, about them getting City players.

Rivals have become more rattled and obsessed with City players more than there own. The fact these players genuinely want to play for this devoted support base and for themselves at this elite club genuinely makes these people feel inferior.

The club will appeal it into the ground. Even if the current appeal fails or they aren't happy with the verdict, they'll just immediately appeal that one.  This isn't ending anytime soon.
