I was recently admitted at Louisiana Tech for Civil Engineering Fall 2027, and while researching dorms I thought about the train noise that might interrupt students sleep.

Hello! I am currently 16 and a junior in Shreveport I have a 4.6 GPA and a 27 ACT at the end of my sophomore year (currently at the beginning of my junior) and I plan to get those up. I am very interested in this program and I wondering if I could maybe ask a few questions? I was hoping to talk to some CFIs or current students regarding the physical, application process and general tips.

Are there any alternatives to using the LaTechIoT network on TV? It's incredibly slow, and I keep getting the "No Internet" error. Its been happening for a while.

Im really considering University Park because of the private room and bathrooms but I am open to suggestions. I already have a roommate. I don’t need a single room but I won’t do a community bathroom.

Hello! I’ve just been accepted to LAT for Biology and I honestly can’t find anything on what it’s really like. Are the dorms nice? Do you enjoy your professors? Would you say that there’s a good selection of ways to meet people? Let me know everything please! I’d be moving out of my home state if I choose to go here, and I don’t know a single person who goes to LAT. I just want to have an inside perspective and be prepared. Thank you in advance :)

Is anyone else’s aid taking forever to disburse because usually aid is disbursed by now.

Im in a dorm with built in wifi and I got a wireless printer for us to use but I couldn't for the life of me find out how to get it working on the wifi. The printer I have is a Canon PIXMA TS3722. I was following this guide and I'm sure I was doing it right. I tried setting it up via Canon PRINT both my phone and computer. On my phone, the set up is normal all the way until I add the network. It asks me what network I want to set it up to so I choose the LaTechIoT network and enter the generated password from the Wifi Manager and on the printer, it accepts the password, the network icon says they it's connected, but it says it couldn't find the printer on my phone. For the computer, I choose wireless connect option, it tells me to hold the link button for three seconds on the printer so it enters the link mode or whatever, the computer detects it and then it asks me to select an internet connection to set it up for kinda like the phone app, but this time, it doesn't even accept the password. And the printer keeps getting the network errors because of this so I'm having to keep turning the printer on and off, it's just a mess. Is there anyone else who has a printer and got it working?

Tech's attendance was the lowest of Sun Belt teams who hosted games in week 1. I know students hadn't moved in yet. Should we expect attendance to increase and be better than years past?
