Longford town. I’ve bought the SLC (self levelling compound)- just need someone who knows what they’re doing to come over and give me a price. Last person let me down
DM me for details and I’ll get back to you. Bonus points if you can lay floor too!

It is €10 to enter and the winner of the competition will receive €500! If interested in joining, please send the entry fee to the number listed in the picture with a message of your name and team chosen for week 1! All rules are listed in the picture! Any support is greatly appreciated and if you do join best of luck!!

Hi everyone,
My 17 month old miniature schnauzer Alfie is in a competition here in Ireland called the Nose of Tralee. He beat out thousands of entries to be in the final 32, representing Longford
I would really, really appreciate it if we could get the county behind this little bearded gentleman
You can vote once per day - just scroll down to the little heart under Alfie's entry

Thank you everyone

Hi Longford. John here, founder of L-Plate.
I built L-Plate for Irish learner drivers: timed 40-question mocks, road signs, weak-area tracking, and plain-English explanations when you get something wrong.
It also has Brendan, who is basically the AI version of a driving instructor raising one eyebrow at your life choices.
Main site: https://l-plate.ie
Free Premium founder slots: https://l-plate.ie/free-test/?ref=REDDITFOUNDER25&utm_source=reddit&utm_medium=organic&utm_campaign=longford_founder_slots
If you try it, tell me what to fix.

Hi r/Longford. I am sharing the below national survey being carried out as part of a Research Ireland-funded project at UCC. We are particularly keen to boost response rates outside of Dublin/Cork. We would really appreciate any and all responses!
Caring for the Body After Death in Ireland
Have you thought about what you would like to happen to your body when you die?
We are a group of researchers based in University College Cork who would like to know more about what people in Ireland think about different kinds of death and funeral practices. We want to know more about your own wishes and why you would like those wishes to be carried out.
We are conducting a survey to gather this information. The survey is open to everyone who is resident in Ireland and is age 18 or over. We would like to hear from as many people as possible from all kinds of backgrounds.
For more information, and to complete the survey, you can click the link here or scan the QR code below. If you would like to know more, would like to complete the survey by phone, have specific requirements not met here, or have any questions for us please contact the lead researcher Dr Kate Falconer at [kfalconer@ucc.ie](mailto:KFalconer@ucc.ie)

Hi everyone, I'm considering buying in Shannon Park, Edgeworthstown. I was wondering is it nice to live in? I've heard mixed reviews and was wondering if anyone here would have any insight

Since last September, I’ve been in and out of Longford, and I’ve come away feeling pretty discouraged. Too many of my interactions have felt cold or tribal, and that judgmental atmosphere has really got to me.
I totally get that the town was hit hard by the crash and has been playing catch-up ever since, but that economic struggle seems to have seeped into the local culture. It leaves me questioning whether Longford can actually find its feet and become a welcoming place again, or if these attitudes are now so deeply rooted that they won't change any time soon.

Hey guys, can ye give me a hand on finding a certain cycleway north of Longford town? I’m looking on Google maps with the biking filter on and it’s only showing the Royal Canal Greenway south of the town.
I’m afraid I’ve no more information to go off, any help is appreciated thanks

Hi Everyone,
I am a PhD student at University of Limerick. I’m running a quick academic survey as part of my PhD research at UL called “Understanding Consumer Knowledge and Perceptions of Non-Nutritive Sweeteners in Ireland.”
It looks at how people in Ireland use and think about sweeteners.
Why it matters: Insights like this shape future product labels, nutrition guidelines, and healthier food options that actually match what people want/think.
If you can spare a few minutes, please fill it out! Even better, upvote/share/cross-post to help reach more people in Ireland.
Every response counts towards solid research data.
Thanks a million for the support! Feel free to ask questions below.

I'm looking to apply for the local authority home loan in Longford. The loans dept of the council said that I'm eligible to apply. Almost all the banks we tried with rejected us. We're a married couple, but on a single income. My wife is a housewife and I work full time. Can someone give me their experiences and timeframe of their own application for this scheme? How long did it take? Did you get approved? We do have more than 10% of the deposit available. How likely can one be to get approved for this.
