Call it regret, nostalgia or whatever but Wattpad was a stepping stone in roleplaying for me. Many sleepless nights, car rides, it was always there for me. Plenty of friends I've come to know and plenty more that I just... lost along the way. I'm here to talk about three of them in particular, two I have usernames, old ones probably but... one I'm not sure where they went. Many more from that website as well but, another time for sure.

To begin with the two I vividly recall, letsgetthisbread (Discord handle) RWBY(some numbers here) and their wolf pfp was what I knew them as on Wattpad. I wasn't always the most attentive, but you were always there day in and day out to roleplay. We drifted apart sometime in the 2020's life just flowed differently until they stopped. Maybe they lost interest but for me nostalgia is a brutal bug that tugs me back every now and then. Wherever you are now I hope life is going well, and I wish we had more time to flesh out all the prompts we shared together.

athleticchad, they're still around mostly do streaming every now and then but things went silent on discord after 2021. Same as letsget, we started out on wattpad, had a nifty niche of our own with RWBY and the rest was history. Had our fun I'm sure, miss every moment and I'll always be sure to drop on by if and when you're streaming, I just... yeah I miss it.

Then there's the last one for now... I don't know and or remember your username, but the only vivid thing I recall was our amazing Tsundere rp, you had this image, or well gif of this drawn anime girl and the word baka would appear. If anyone could find that gif I'd... I'd save it and make sure never to lose it. Your departure from wattpad was sudden and I'm sorry I didn't reach out sooner. I hope you're still around, and though it pains me to type this out if you're not then well, it's been a pleasure to have rp'd with you and know that I miss you, the book, and our characters. If I could go back to the 2016-2020 period of my life and relive it I wouldn't change a thing except trying to reach out and just talk.

If you guys ever spontaneously find this just know that I'm alive and well, that I'd love nothing more than to rp again and that I miss you guys terribly.

I’m looking for an old RPG partner from the early 2000s. We met through a text-based roleplay chat. The main website was NexxusChat.com, and they had two chats, CyberChat and theKeep. We were mostly on CC.

Her character’s name was Rhiannon. Mine was SoulofTwilight. This was long before the Twilight novels.

I was in my early teens. She was a bit older.
I’m American, and I believe she was English.
Our characters were in a romantic relationship.
She had an online journal for her character and once described Twilight as “an enigma wrapped in a nutshell.”

I used Sephiroth/Kadaj from Final Fantasy VII as my character art. I don’t remember what hers was.

I don’t remember her real name, an email address, or even what messenger app we might have used at the time. But I do remember that we wrote a wonderful love story together.

I wrote an entire Seven Days of Creation mythos for my character, where he created his own Realm, and she eventually came to live there with him. I remember one RP in particular where our characters simply sat by a fire and talked.

I don’t have much hope that this will actually find her, but never say never.

TheKeep is still around, and a bunch of us are still there. Twilight is there under the name Vassago_Greyth.

If this somehow reaches her, I’ll be there.

I came back about a month ago, and one of the things I’ve found myself thinking about is all the people I missed—the ones I lost contact with, the ones who still hold a place in my heart, the ones I still think of as friends even after all these years.

This is partially me musing really but i saw this reddit and thought the concept was cute so lets give it a try!

There's some names i remember from this one place. The names are "Auduial" or "Evening". This i remember so clearly yet so hazily. Evening was the original name acting as the characters code name as and Auduial came next after you pulled it on a random name generator for elf names? The character was short...i think you made them tanned. You used evening as you ooc handle too since thats what everyone knew you as.

Back years ago now once upon a time, There was this old forum named "Danger/u/". Inspired off a cult classic visual novel about a bartender in a cyberpunk dystopia "Va-11 Hall-A". There was a board in it called /cyb/-Cyberpunk Life that acted as a roleplay set inside the universe and setting of VA-11 Hall-A.

I don't think there was ever much of us, and i think a good majority of us were secretly quite young. There was no ID system and so we had a randomized hash id generated per session on the site and so it felt so populated with all the different characters. even though now i know it was just the same 14 ish people across a ton of different characters. That number waxed and waned as the years went

But that place was a clusterfuck to say the least. I remember vivdly the crazy cartoonish concepts that took place since it was so free form. We called the plotlines ARGs to be cool and different since the trend was we made ciphers and presented it like some sort of puzzle with the reward being participation in the cool story instead of just letting players play for some reason???

I could never get behind that CN guy being the literal main character and everyone kinda forcing them to be for the "meme". I always felt it was kinda unhealthy for the community for there to literally be a favourite who was the unofficial MC

We had sentient shiba inu terrorists. A controversial sentai superhero group themed around colored clothing. Some guy was really dedicated to trying to add eldrich gods to the setting for some reason with "Computer Code that could manipulate reality" or something like that. I remember chisa and the quirkenet. I remember wanting to run my own arg but decided against it since i felt they were kinda crumby.

In retrospect Cyb was kinda toxic sometimes huh

I remember we made an in universe MMO Called "VRMMORPG Story of creation" and that was my debut story line! I still use the concept sometimes...i remember you had a character in that plot line too. Golden? Or was it...shiina? There were some i could not remember too

Across it all as time passed i wondered whatever happened to you. I don't think we interacted too much since you and i had different time zones but every so often i drift into memories and wonder to myself

Ill be honest i always wanted to be friends and roleplay together more. at the time my style was to do Duos that balance out eachothers personalities. Nowadays i kinda refined my style a lot since then. Tons of new characters. Lots of new experience good and bad.

It took place on one of the messenger apps. We were deep into a very NSFW plot where you played Jill Valentine and Claire Redfield exchanging very adult services for shelter and safety in a bunker away from the zombie apocalypse. We had many fun and very intense interactions in this plot but one day you just disappeared. To the point where I forgot your name. I just wanted to say I think about our time together often and wish you well wherever you are. I don't think you'll see this but just know that I'm still here.

We had the greatest roleplay with Florence and Daniel, AKA Sarah and Thomas. The scene in the car with the FaceTime reveal lives rent-free in my mind to this day. I miss our texting scenes and all of the backstory and future scenes we never got to write.

I dont know why that name sticks out in my mind but I remember you! we had a vampire x human story. you were the vampire, i was the human. your guy had just turned, but I believe it was an age thing, not a typical vampire turning. he ate a pop tart from a vending machine and it turned to ash in his mouth. they ditched school and went to a hotel to hang out, and I believe he bit her. her name (my character) was probably Arianna.

So, I don't know how far this post will go. But I will be honest, this is a long shot and my last shot at this! I started doing NSFW Roleplay a few years ago, and I love it! The people I've met and have formed friendships with through odd RP ideas or ones that we both love is insane! But, one stood out among the rest, one of the reddit account called u/Significant_Touch453.
He has been gone for a long time, and was last active almost 2 years ago. I never got their discord, because I never thought my previous accounts would ever be deleted for personal reasons. I reached out to them on multiple other alts I made after that, and due to other things, those alts are also gone.
This is my last and only Reddit account, and my last shot at finding him. He was an amazing RPer, matched me and my style perfectly! And I enjoyed our RPs because we weren't afraid to talk OOC or get a lil weird with the scenarios we did.
Please, I want to find him and make sure he's doing okay! And maybe even roleplay again.

This is a long shot, because I’m pretty sure he quit all social media - but I’ve been thinking of him, so thought I would give this a go.

I met Ryder through mutual friends 3 years ago in 2023. We played a few play-by-post games together, and we just clicked - it was really easy to talk to him, and we had a lot of fun writing scenes together. He was known to disappear at times, meaning he eventually took breaks from the PBP games, but we stayed in contact and I considered him to be a friend. Occasionally I would reach out and say I missed him, and he’d return and ask how I could possibly miss him when I had so many other friends - which I laughed off at the time, but now I wonder if I didn’t properly convey how much our friendship meant to me.

In January 2024, he sent me a DM and said he was going on a 5 week vacation, and was simultaneously deleting his Discord because there was too much baggage associated with it. He said he had my username and he’d reach back out when he made a new account…

Except he never reached out. I don’t know if he ever made a new Discord, and I can’t check with anyone because I’m no longer in contact with those mutual friends. It’s been 2 years and I still feel sad about it; I also switched Discord accounts to get away from baggage, but I kept my old one activate purely because that’s the username he knows. Still, there’s been nothing. I try to tell myself that he’s out there somewhere, happy and healthy and away from all the online noise - but I also worry for him. He didn’t seem like himself.

I know they were facing severe mental health issues at the time and possible homophobia from their family (and me being the age I was didn't fully understand it) , so if anything, I'm just hoping they're okay.

Hello, Metroid roleplayer; I dearly apologize, for I have long forgotten your name.

We met on a Discord server and I was afraid to DM you because your tag said to ping you, but you didn't respond initially. But you sent me a DM, despite having the same tag, though I took no offense.

We didn't RP for very long, but the couple months we did were great! You didn't send walls of text, but wrote more than just a few lines. You actually had correct formatting, and details put into each message, and not just *character does something* "character says something". You were actually cool with discussing my ideas and figuring out how to implement them, instead of just rudely brushing me off or calling it weird.

I'm not sure you'll ever see this post - if you even still roleplay. But, I know you also spoke classical Latin and Greek. You were even a private teacher for them! The number of Metroid roleplayers who can read and write Latin has to be... very small.

Sadly, because of teaching, you had to stop roleplaying as much. I was fine with that, coming up with characters and story beats was fun by itself. But, you just randomly deleted your account one day. You were probably one of the best roleplay partners I ever had. Even if you don't want to roleplay again, it'd be nice to at least get assurance that you were okay.

I am just feeling a little nostalgic and missing the Emily and Shawn world we created together.

This is a very long shot, but I would like to put this out there in case there’s a freak chance it is seen.

We first met on the FP forum more than 10 years ago. We were exchanging lengthy replies over Skype for a 2.5-years long generational Vocaloid RP. According to my Word Doc, we have written more than 2 million words together. I called you Miku and you called me Rinny. You’re from Australia and have spent nights complaining about alligators raiding your family store. You had beef with a Luka player, whom we talked shit about on the regular.

We lost contact after our Vocaloid RP stalled because of me. We then reconnected briefly on Discord years ago where we started a Princess/Knightess RP. You were called Melodia then (I’m pretty sure). Once again that RP stalled because my real life got so busy.

On the off chance that you’re reading this now. I want to apologize for not being more communicative and ended up being the reason why both of our amazing stories ended.

I’ve been re-reading our roleplays recently and found myself missing them and our friendship. We roleplayed every single day through the best and the worst parts of my life and I really wish I had been a better partner to you.

Hey guys, it's been about two years since I was role-playing with this one GM. To be honest, I know they've probably moved onto better things, but I wanna leave this post here incase they find it (though the chances are slim). To keep it swift, I lost my old reddit account after taking a break from the RP (for health reasons). They gave me their discord but that got lost with the reddit account (I know, I'm an idiot).

My old user was u/Roxnrols or something like that.

It was a lewd medieval fantasy rp with your varying humanoids. I genuinely missed it.

The rp was almost perfect in all counts, even with its fights. But its focus was on a companion/familiar system. My character had a blue slime girl companion/familiar named "BUBBLE", she had the drooping ears of a bunny. There were also a few other characters, like a fairy companion and stalkerish demon twink but I won't expand further than that.

No one needs to go looking as I know the chances of finding them are way too small. I'm just leaving this here, so I can atleast tell myself that I've done all I can.

Yours was likewise a little girl, but she was nervous. She had pepperoni pizza-colored hair, and wore a shirt advertising the original four FNAF animatronics. She was terrified of bears, including Funtime Freddy, and you explained to me that if she has to look to her own shirt, she would avoid looking at Freddy.

I can't remember her name, and you didn't have a skin of her, but your description was more than enough. I still remember her to this day.

Had a very hot and nasty roleplay about a female combine soldier finding a hyperspermia boy who wasn't affected by the "suppressor field", the rp was great, we connected, shared really huge secrets and then.... I couldn't respond for a few days and when I came back their account was deleted... The rp started and ended abruptly in December, and I was thinking about my partner all this time until I found this subreddit..... I doubt it'll work but if someone thinks this plot is hot you can dm me too..

I'm back again, looking for another partner with whom I had also done a Star Wars roleplay with.

When I was looking for people to roleplay Star Wars with a couple months back, somewhere during June-July, I had reached out to this person's post looking to do an erotic Star Wars roleplay with. I reached out to him, and he was down with my RP idea, which I had tried to do with a previous RP partner, but she suddenly deleted everything and vanished off the internet. I hit it off with him, we moved over to Discord, and got to starting our roleplay.

I played Darth Vader, he played Padme, and an 18+ Ahsoka, in an AU some years after episode 3 of Star Wars. Won't get into too much detail, but it was very kinky, involving hyper and other naughty kinks, having a lot of fun writing it with him. But he was very busy, maybe it was a mix of health issues of sleeping a lot and other things he was dealing with, and at some point deleted the server. He still had me on Discord as friends, but I told him I wanted to part ways since I didn't see things working out, but was open to him coming back if things got better.

I'm hoping to find him, as I forgot his username on here and Discord, again, and see if he wants to start over again. If you're seeing this, man, please hit me up in chat, I miss what we had and don't want all the fun times we had to go to waste.

Hiii so I legitimately JUST made this account because I recently remembered an old Fanganronpa rp on discord I was apart of around 2019/2020 I believe? I'm looking for any members from that to reconnect with. Sorry if this isn't the right reddit for that.

So basically I'll write down what I remember but my memory is a little foggy - My character was The Ultimate Star-Gazer and I think his name was Theodore. - The setting was a school trip to a hospital, the game began after a showcase of a surgery ended badly. - It ran for five chapter and was ended early - there was a flappy bird themed execution in chapter two for the Ultimate Gamer - There was a twitter I think!

As far as other characters go here's what I vaughly remember - A character named Nikodem who had romantic tension with my oc and was killed off in the penultimate chapter by the Ultimate Matchmaker - There was an Ultimate Ghost Writer - The Ultimate Adventurer (?) And Ultimate Samurai had some sort of connection - The Ultimate Gamer was the traitor - There was a cowboy and a clown? - There was an Ultimate Hacker too who died in chapter two

As far as i remember it was the best rp experience I've had, thats mainly because it was my first (and im pretty sure I was young and dumb and lied about that.. sorry!) The motives were smart and carried out consequences over the subsequent chapters. I really want to reconnect with anyone who was in that rp so if any of this sounds familiar or anyone can recommend other places to post about this and ask around please reach out!
