Free Liverpool Post subscriptions for 16-25 year olds
Hello! I work at the Post and we got funding to offer a few free one-year memberships for younger readers (who statistically consume news less often than older readers). "Postcode Lottery is funding a free one-year membership of The Post for readers aged 16 to 25, as part of their commitment to strengthening communities and supporting local journalism. Verify your age below to claim yours." https://www.livpost.co.uk/postcode-lottery/

Hey, not a U25 but this is wonderful news.
Really love the work the Post is doing. Could I suggest (if you haven't already) reaching out to the SU and the humanities departments at any of the unis/sixth form colleges in Merseyside.
Get the politically engaged youngsters whilst they're young!

Hi stearrow, thanks for the kind words — and for this advice. I've already reached out to a couple of sixth form colleges that offer journalism courses - but humanities departments is probably a good plan, too. There are only 29 subscriptions left so I'll see whether people on Reddit have snapped them all up by the end of today, but if not, will get on this!

I have to say I respect the work being done at the post...but I got so sick of the emails begging me to subscribe, or blocking the interesting stories behind a paywall, that I completely unsubscribed.
I was subscribed since the beginning and know you need to make money but it just irked me that little bit too much (plus the puff piece you did on my very dodgy ex-boss made me less trusting of your reporting).

I cancelled my subscription after the puff piece they published on Billy Moore. I would advise young people not to expose themselves to the Post’s agenda.

Good news, however "A verification window from Veriff, a trusted identity-verification provider,", absolutely not, they had a direct data breach in 2025 lol
