Advise on doing a Masters in PM at LJMU

Hello!

I’m an international prospective student looking to do a MSc in Project Management at LJMU.

I’ve got a Bachelors in Hotel Management, about 8 years of total work experience in ad marketing/publishing, 3+ of which are in IT Project Management. This masters course comes with an accreditation in PRINCE2 and includes a lot of valuable optional modules that I would love to dive into, such as Sustainable Construction & Innovation, Energy Management and Risk Management.

It would be super helpful for me to tune into perspectives of locals and PMO specialists on this university and this course.

Please feel free to share. Thank you!

Like any MA, it's a bridge between a BA and PhD and is what you make of it.

LJMU is LJMU. Some good, some bad, but the best thing you can do is go to their open day and quiz the teachers and current students.

More specifically, I’m also interested in learning if this university is a good contender and whether it offers good placement opportunities, facilities and student support (esp neurodivergent individuals)

I can’t speak to most of this, but I’m neurodivergent (autistic) and went to LJMU. I was quite open about my autism and everyone was hugely supportive. I was also able to sit down with the disability team and discuss what I would need. So I was quite happy with the support they gave me.

That’s helpful to know and I’m glad you could access the support you needed. Thank you for sharing your experience!

I think you might’ve missed the part where I said I’m an international prospective student. I’m not from the UK nor live there but am hoping to do a Masters with accreditation that would add more value to my existing qualifications and work experience.

They do have online open days and international ambassadors you can reach out to. Which can be organised via their website.

Which is always usually the first step.
