Should I consider picking this up for 4.5k as a first car? It seems pretty clean in the pictures but I have yet to see it in person

Is there a specific OBD2 tool I can use to read the engine oil and transmission oil temps in my IS500? Would love if it was able to be a dashboard phone app and used for servicing.
If not, what 52mm gauge are you all running?👀

Has anyone gotten their 3rd gen is fully painted recently? I know price varies depending on what colors and the quality. I just wanna hear a price range so I know what to save for.

Wheel alignment is essentially perfect. No cross caster, no cross camber.
Whenever I drive over uneven and grooved roads my steering wheel just wants to dart right. When I brake it heavily darts right 90 degrees and sometimes left but it favours the right.
Got figs lca bushings to fix this but it essentially had no impact. When I accelerate hard the steering wheel will immediately shift right 5 degrees and stop.
My mechanic checked for play and bends in the entire suspension and found nothing. That’s all he did and told me my car was fine and it’s just getting old now and there’s nothing I can do.
Car has 120k miles.
Tires have been ruled out.
Literally have no idea and I hate driving my car like this.
On the highway the steering wheel will get so heavy and hurt my hand to just hold it straight.
I also would like to ask any 3is owners if they feel like the cars steering lacks a distinctive on-center feel. Like my friends car which is a 2018 drives straight with the steering wheel relaxed but for me on center feels busy and reactive. I hate it so much.

I just test drove an IS 350 AWD and immediately noticed that the accelerator pedal felt noticeably heavier than the pedals in other cars I've owned. It seemed to require more force to get the car moving. It doesn't really bother me, but I'm curious if this is normal for the IS 350 or if it could be specific to that car.
Also, what options would you consider must-haves?
So far, I'm looking at:
Are there any other options you'd recommend based on your experience as a current or previous owner?
Lastly, what do you think of the Wind and Iridium exterior colors? Im leaning towards Wind. I'm also curious about the white interior. Most of the IS 350s in stock near me have it, but I'm not a big fan of white interiors. For those who have one, how does it hold up over time in terms of dirt, staining, and maintenance?
Appreciate any input!

I’ve been looking at buying this car for over a year, and I rarely find ones close by in this color. I test drove this one today, but it has a couple of problems on the front bumper (paint defects and separating on the passenger side).
It’s a 2021 with 73k miles and listed for 35k. It does have the Mark Levinson sound system and 10 inch display in the interior and I think a few other upgraded features. I’m not sure if the pros outweigh the cons though.
I know that front bumper separation problem is a huge pain to fix, and might ultimately cost another $1000-2000 to replace/paint. But I’m worried about passing this one up hoping a better deal will come along.
Do y’all think it’s still a good deal or should I let this one go?

Anyone got any tips to make some room for clearance in the front bumper

I’m helping a friend try and clear a clogged ac drain that’s overflowing into the blower motor and creating water buildup in the passenger floor. Is there any way to get it from the inside? All i see is the HVAC/blower motor housing and the evap. I’ve cleared the sunroof drain and the cabin filter isn’t wet.

Hi everyone,
I own a 2015 Lexus IS 250 with the 2.5L V6 4GR-FSE engine. The car currently has around 235,000 km (146,000 miles).
I recently checked the engine oil after approximately 8,000 km (5,000 miles) since the last oil change, and I would appreciate your opinions.
A few details:
● Oil consumption: The oil level dropped from MAX to around ~ 1/2 on the dipstick. im using 5w30 Motul Eco-nergy
● Estimated oil consumption: Approximately 0.5l per 8,000 km.
● Oil condition: The oil is quite dark after 8,000 km. I’ve also noticed a slight smell of gasoline on the dipstick.
●PCV valve: I replaced it previously, and oil consumption initially decreased, but the engine still consumes some oil.
● Exhaust smoke: I haven’t noticed any visible blue smoke.
Does this amount of oil consumption seem normal for this engine at this mileage?

I’m looking at a 2014 is350 with 147k miles and 16k is that a good choice and what should I be aware of looking at it in person

More specifically on 2007 is250. I’ve had my light on for a while and it turns off every so often but comes back up again. I scanned it and it said something like driver side knee airbag squib circuit open or something. Just wondering if this was a common issue or if this is something the dealer should deal with. Thank you!

I've been driving a 2024 Tundra for the past few years, and while I enjoy the interior space and having a truck bed when I need to haul stuff, I sometimes miss the driving dynamics of a smaller car. (All my previous vehicles before this truck were mostly sporty cars like MYP, WRX, S4, S5 SB and such)
Now that my SO has a full-size SUV for hauling the family around, I'm considering switching to a Lexus IS 350. Some of the biggest draws are better long-term reliability, saving hundreds on monthly payments and gas, and, of course, enjoying the driving experience more.
Has anyone here made the switch from a truck or SUV to a Lexus IS? Do you regret it, or are you happy with the decision? I'd love to hear about your experience and whether you miss having a bigger vehicle.

I was looking into getting one for my 2007 is350 as it is coming up on 190k miles and saw that the RR racing air oil separator looked like a good option compared to a traditional catch can because of the increased blow by vapors on higher mileage engines that don’t get caught in the simple filters. Looking for opinions from those who already have catch cans and how straightforward the installation process was
