Help! Victim of major illegal dumping (1,000 cu yds of wood chips) looking for a local hero with a Bobcat/tractor in Lancaster. Cash + beer paid!
Hi r/LancasterCA community,
Iām reaching out because I am stuck in an absolute bureaucratic and physical nightmare and could really use some local help.
A while back, some trashy illegal dumpers targeted my 2.53-acre vacant lot in Lancaster (located near 3rd Street West & Avenue F-4, APN: 3137-001-026) and dumped a massive mountain of wood chipsāoriginally around 1,800 cubic yards, now down to about 1,000 cubic yards.
I just had a virtual compliance meeting with the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (LEA). As expected, they gave me the standard "it's private property, so the government won't help you clean it up" answer. However, they DID officially approve a compromise: I don't have to haul it away, but I MUST spread and flatten the entire pile across the lot to a uniform thickness of 6 inches.
I have to submit my formal Property Remediation Workplan (PRW) and get this done before November 1st to avoid massive fines. Shoveling 1,000 cubic yards (roughly 270 tons) by hand is humanly impossible for me.
I am looking for two things:
FREE BULK WOOD CHIPS FOR RANCHERS/GARDENERS: The wood chips are clean, organic, and in great conditionāperfect for soil moisture retention, weed control, or livestock bedding. If you have a truck, trailer, or dump trailer, please come and haul away as much as you want for absolutely $0! Easy access directly off the road.
NEIGHBOR WITH HEAVY EQUIPMENT: If you live in the Antelope Valley and own a skid steer (Bobcat), compact track loader, or a tractor with a heavy grading blade, I am looking to hire you for a weekend project. I will gladly pay $400 - $500 cash for a few hours of grading work, cover your fuel expenses, and provide unlimited pizza and cold beer/drinks.
The lot is completely flat with no steep slopes, so it should be a relatively straightforward grading job for anyone experienced with heavy machinery.
If you want some free mulch or have a Bobcat and want to help an innocent property owner get out of a tight spot, please shoot me a DM. Any leads, recommendations for affordable local owner-operators, or even upvotes for visibility would mean the world to me.
Thank you so much!
