hi! posting on random throwaway. i finally got labiaplasty today after wanting it for several years, as well as a CHR because they recommended it for symmetry with the labiaplasty. i was extremely nervous for this surgery, i couldn’t sleep well last night, but today went well and the staff were so incredibly kind. i was on local anesthesia and did not feel any real pain during the surgery, however it did take a little longer than i expected. i was kind of high on the meds and did not realize how time was passing lol.

that being said, im glad the dr took his time, and i know it looks insane because i just got it today so it is a bit bloody and gross, but i am happy with how it looks and hoping it heals well.

i would absolutely LOVE any post op advice from anyone who has had one. i did a bit of research and got medical wipes, a peri bottle, comfy underwear, gentle body wash, etc, but would love to hear about any healing holy grails :))

The surgery was performed in Finland, and the desired outcome was to ensure the labia were not reduced too much. I am very satisfied with the results🥹

I keep having very mixed feelings after my labiaplasty. Initially I hated the results, but after some time I’ve grown to accept it more. However, I can’t help, but to still have those days, where I wish to have revision and am angry at myself for not asking the surgeon to “take off more”. I think my main issue is that sometimes it looks fine to me (like in the 2nd photo) and sometimes it looks very bulgy and almost swollen (1st photo). Does anyone have similar feelings ? It’s been couple of years since I had the surgery.

I'm extremely unhappy with the way it looks close-up. I had many complications and healed very badly (probably due to a major health issue I found out I had) so I don't think the result is my surgeons fault. My surgeon is offering a free revision though. Her results are usually GORGEOUS so I am confident going back to her once Im healthy enough.

Do you guys think I could achieve a smoothened even look? I still have labia left so I don't think it's dangerous to do a revision... She is also confident it will give me the desired look.

Functionality-wise... love it! I'm much more confident and comfortable. I can't believe I didn't do this sooner.

Seeking advice/support. I had clitoropexy, cosmetic perineoplasty, revision clitoral hood reduction, and revision labiaplasty. Today I tried to have sex for the first time 9 weeks post-op and it felt like the entrance of my vagina was way too tight. It felt like my perineum was going to tear. It didn't actually tear because I'm like 9 weeks post-op so it's healed already, but it hurt really badly and I couldn't really get my partner all the way inside of me. I seriously think that my surgeon stitched me up too tight post perineoplasty. I'm pretty distraught

I’m six weeks post-op from a lymphoplasty. I’ve already had one operation, this is my second, and I’m still not satisfied. I have lumps, and the edges are really irregular. Is anyone else in the same situation as me?

I had my follow up appointment yesterday. He said I'm healing very well and the stitches will dissolve in a few more weeks. I can't wait, because they are really itchy and uncomfortable. I'm super happy with how it's looking and I thanked the doctor for doing such a great job.

Hey loves, I’m having my surgery 20th November (labia minora) What was everyone’s timeframe before ya’ll had sex again? Exactly 6weeks would be 1st January for me (new year sex? :3) I do have a long term bf supporting me through this, and im also doing this for me not for him.

I’m also starting a new job Dec 1st, would 11 days post op be okay to head into the office? (doing local anaesthetic)

I’ve seen quite a few posts here from women concerned about irregular, bumpy, or scalloped edges after labiaplasty.

One thing I want women to know is that these irregularities aren’t necessarily permanent.

Just had a consultation for a labiaplasty and she was great, super nice, said she should be able to get insurance to pay for it no problem and said she should be able to do it before the end of the year (which i think would be beneficial because our out of pocket is almost met). She took pics on my phone at the appointment so we could talk about what to do and she said she’d cut off both sides so that they don’t go past the majora but she said she wouldn’t go up all the way. (i drew a line where she was saying she would stop)

on the left side, there’s a whole lot going on all the way up and it’s not even just long, it like branches off to have like… several lobes i guess?

i’m just worried that’s going to look super wonky since i feel like the reason that labia is so huge is more so because of the upper half … she said the reason she didn’t want to cut any off up there is because there’s so many nerves and she didn’t want to risk me having chronic pain.

but this is literally the only person who does them in my city other than plastic surgeons and this one male dr. i have a consult scheduled with him but i scheduled it months ago and the soonest they could get me in for just the consultation was november 18th and i really don’t want to wait forever for this.

I posted previously when I was 6 days in and swollen AF, now a month has passed and I’m a little worried about how I look. I know I’m not fully recovered because I still feel tender down there, but I am worried if this is what my final will look like?? I’m particularly scared about the asymmetry and how it looks super top heavy..and the “lumpiness”?

I’m 5 weeks post op Labia minora and CHR and I feel like I’m still so swollen. Looks too heavy to me. And there’s so many stitches still, did anyone still have stitches at this point?

I have been on and off my period basically the entire time, like on for a week, off for a few days then back on….so I think the constant friction of a pad could be making it more swollen? Or is this just normal?

Also, the stitching from the CHR is still there, i couldn’t take it and shaved but had to stay away from there because I’m scared they’ll get ripped off. They’re barely hanging on, can’t wait for them to fall off, it looks so gross 😂

Thoughts on light walking even during first week of surgery?

Im scheduled for a labiaplasty early November and it's recommended to stop vaping or cut back as much as I can. I have been vaping for years and I think it would be extremely difficult to stop completely. I have been trying my best to cut back! Im just wondering for those who had a labiaplasty and continued to smoke/vape some before/after if your healing was affected at all?

Five years ago, I had labia reduction surgery. Unfortunately, the clinic really messed it up. Too much tissue was removed from the inner labia, and there’s still a large amount of excess skin in the clitoral area.

In addition to the cosmetic issue, I also have recurring problems. Because of the way everything was sutured, a small area at the back of the vaginal opening tears every time I have sex. First of all, that hurts, and second, I’ve been getting constant urinary tract infections after sex ever since.

Now I’ve read about the possibility of labia reconstruction.

After my first botched surgery, I’m now terrified that this will go wrong again and that I’ll continue to have (even more) problems afterward.

That’s why I’d really love to talk to someone who’s already had this surgery done and, if so, who performed it.

On the internet, Dr. Gress from Munich is touted as the “guru” of such procedures. Unfortunately, because of my anxiety 😞, I’m very skeptical about online reviews on this topic.

But things can’t stay this way forever.

I’m really desperate. :/

Im soooo over this. First was a hematoma then worries about infection, insane amounts of build up that I haven’t seen anyone else have (not talking about smegma but I do have that too) And now, my body has decided that it doesn’t want to dissolve my internal stitches and is instead pushing them out.

Its painful to walk as I’m literally piercing the inside of my labia from the stitch poking out the other labia. theres stitch knots that are being pushed out a tiny hole. Some have turned into abscesses that I’ve had to drain. Theres one poking out my CH and causing it to be swollen. Im just genuinely so over it

Hi, some time ago i postet on here talking about how and if i should tell my parents/my mom. well i told her about the discomfort and she was very supportive. i just had my doctors appointment to kind of talk about what to do next. it was my first time at his clinic and he was very nice and after he took a look at it he said: that it looks very proportional and he does not see an issue with it. the only „long/big“ part is the part directly under the clitoris but its also nothing major. he told me that as a doctor and as a father he would not want me to get an operation. he does not see an issue with it and he said that sometimes it leaves an „ugly“ scar in the front and if something happens to my nerves theyre gone for ever. he prescribed me a cream to help with the friction. oh and also he said that almost no insurance would cover the cost. even after this truthful talk i am still considering this operation. and this subreddit sometimes worsens my insecurities about my appearance. sometimes girls post their unoperated vulvas and are insecure while i am sitting therr like wowwww i would love to have rhis kind of anatomy. well back to the original topic: my doctors persistent warning about the operation scared me a lot. i have since then been wondering what the statistics of this operation are. how many are really satisfied with the function and appearance?

It’s been nearly 6 months, so here’s an update of my results. Considering how bad my healing was, I’m actually pretty pleased with the results, scars are still thick, but they are reducing all the time. I still think I’ll see improvement yet.

Hi! I’m almost an adult, and I’m hoping to get a labiaplasty—ideally covered by insurance. Would it be strange to bring it up during a routine annual checkup, or should I go straight to a plastic surgeon?
