Subreddit for Pakistani Trans folk!

A few months ago, the TransPak discord server was launched exclusively for transgender peeps and other gender minorities, aimed to be a chill community + hosting HRT resources aimed at Pakistan. It was mentioned, at the time, that a subreddit would also be made later down the line.

Well, as of now, [r/TransPak](r/TransPak) is real! It's designed to be that safe space. Being public, it is open to partners/family members of trans folk bringing their concerns and questions about their loved one’s journey!

The Discord server still maintains its verification system, and remains exclusive to gender minorities though.

It is strictly SFW and all ages, and the rules beyond that boil down to being a decent human being. Of course, being a safe space for gender minorities, chasers are not allowed and will be banned immediately.

LESBIAN CENTERED SUBREDDIT IS HERE.

I know how rare and exhausting it can be to find real sapphic spaces here so there's one just for us. I'm sick and tired of men pretending to be women.

r/LesbiansPakistan is a community built by and for lesbians, bi women, mascs, femmes, studs, dykes, sapphics basically, women who love women in Pakistan.

This will be a women-centered, safe space only. No men, no exceptions.

👉 To join, you must be willing to send proof (nothing invasive, just enough to confirm you’re genuinely who you say you are). This is to keep our space safe and free from trolls.

If you’ve been looking for community, friendship, maybe love, or just a place to vent and vibe with other queer women in Pakistan...this is it.

Obsession with Shadi - A RANT!

What's this family obsession with Shadi and having kids, and then having more of it? People can't stop asking me about it, and when I give them the excuse of finances (I just hate myself too much for it but can't say that can I), they can't be more disappointed. I have a six-figure job, live on my own, careers that I like, but none of that's good. 'Shadi kb krwao gy?' Like they are offering their sister with the question. They will be making 60k a month and flexing their marriage to me like
BRO DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT KINDAA LIFE YA GIVING YOUR KIDS? OR JUST BREEDING AND REPRODUCING WAS ENOUGH TO SATISFY YOUR LULI JITNI EGO.

okay so context, i was in a very healthy relationship and i loved everything about it but as time passed by we both realized we aren't really compatible, there were so many instances every call would end on some argument and hurtful remarks from both sides and we decided to part ways romantically and tried staying friends, that didn't happen as well. lol

and now after 4 months ive been talking to this guy hes the sweetest and everything i ever wanted but theres this constant guilt and skepticism and what not. im troubled with dilemmas.

SO AM I THE ASSHOLE FOR FALLING FOR SOMEONE NEW IN JUST FOUR MONTHS? say yes and give me some great reality checks idc how harsh.

Falling for romanticized version of people.

I am 25 and I have this habit of falling for romanticized version of people, for example: I met a guy through fb group and we shared a mutual interest, In the beginning we only talked about the same interest of ours but as time went by I started discovering that he has more similar interests as me and has all the qualities I look for in a person. We didnt talk non-stop but once a while he would give me a bit of attention and I would try to contain myself as much as I can to not communicate more than he is. Time went by and I started hinting my interest in him and would send reels about it and joke about it, he would even respond in similar manner but then came the end of it when he suddenly disappeared, at such a time when I had fallen for him completely like imagining my life with him, all this was long distance and lasted for a year and I don't even know what he looks like or whether he was into me.

This always happen with me. Not taking things as they are and making something more out of them.

And I haven't learned from my mistakes, I still do this.

By now I have completely given up on the idea of finding someone. I am just focused on career. But it sucks yk. It would have been better if someone was at your side to share all this with.

the rise of homophobia

now i need to put this disclaimer first, if you cannot have civil conversations/debate/be open to differing opinions, please click off this post. i also have to say, i am a queer person. have been since my childhood and VERY accepting of my sexuality.

i know this is not the leading cause of homophobia but i feel like the inclusion of so many non-queer identities under the queer umbrella has genuinely started making cishets treat us like a joke. there will be men out there calling themselves "pansexual" for liking trans women (when they're simply chasers lol). there are straight women calling themselves "demisexual" because they value emotional connection like almost 90% of the population does. theres people who haven't experienced a smidge of gender dysphoria labelling themselves as trans. my gripe is, when these people become the face of our community, the loudest from our side, it makes everyone else treat us like a joke. i am all for accepting yourself and being who you are but you are NOT suddenly queer because you're a "femboy" who still only likes women. this is so damaging to all of us and it's so sad how our community does not possess the critical thinking skills to rationalise it in their heads.

i see "furries" being treated as part of our community and the lines between just a joke and reality have become so blurry it almost feels like a slap to our faces. i am happy people are finally able to be more expressive but it's dehumanising as actual queer people who feared for their lives to be treated as just a costume. i want someone here to honestly tell me, for example, what is the difference between bisexuality and pansexuality except the overcomplication of gender nuances. you want to fight for trans men being men and trans women being women yet at the same time you have an entirely new sexuality just because you feel an attraction to them...? how does this benefit anyone?

i feel like pakistanis specially need a LOT of gender and sexuality discussion. their primary source of education on these topics has been the internet and it's such a poor resource since it's an echo chamber of misfits who just want to fit in so they sometimes force themselves into the LGBTQ community.

i'm opening to discussing this in detail (IF you can be civil about it). let me know what you guys think.

31 M G Lahore… Self Struggling…

Hello, beautiful people!

I’ve just joined this community, and I hope you’re all doing amazing and living your best lives! ❤️ You’ve probably got a little introduction to me from the heading, but I wanted to share a bit more of what’s on my mind.

As a fellow human being, I know that being homosexual can come with its own set of struggles, confusion, and challenges in different areas of life. We all have our own stories, battles, and moments that shape who we are.

After almost 20 years of struggling, hiding parts of myself, and going through so much khajal khuwari, zalalat, and emotional ups and downs,

I’ve finally reached a point where I’m learning to embrace my original self without feeling the need to explain, justify, or change who I am. 🥹❤️

And honestly? It feels BEAUTIFUL to finally be at peace with yourself! 🥂✨

Being homo is one part of who I am, but I’m also grateful to Allah for all the other beautiful things He has blessed me with.

I’m learning to celebrate my whole existence instead of focusing on the parts of myself I once struggled to accept.

One thing I genuinely believe is that if we’re all unique in our own ways, why shouldn’t we believe that our journeys and destinies can be unique and beautiful too? 🌻💫

So, I’d love to hear your stories! How has your journey been? What have you struggled with, what have you learned about yourself, and what are you finally learning to embrace? Or maybe you just want a friendly chat, share some thoughts, gossip a little, or talk about life. 😂❤️

My DMs are always open for a friendly conversation, and you’re more than welcome to say hello here, too!

we deserve to live ideal life without apologizing for who we are. 🫶

Sending you all good vibes, love, gratitude, and a little extra happiness today! ❤️✨

Are they good? Are they worth it or overpriced? Are they nutritionally sufficient for breakfast? I never seem to do breakfast properly, was thinking of adding something like this in my diet.

I'm a 20-year-old bisexual guy in Pakistan dealing with family abuse, a traumatic psychiatric facility experience, and I genuinely don't know what to do anymore.

Hey everyone. I'm not really sure how to write this, but I need to get this off my chest and hopefully get some advice from people who might understand my situation.

I'm 20M from Karachi, Pakistan, and things at home have been getting increasingly difficult for mee

Back in March 2025, my parents sent me to a psychiatric/rehabilitation facility in karachi (asghar hospital where my uncle had connections) after they found out about my sexuality. My family is extremely religious, and my bisexuality was something they weren't willing to accept.

They ended up sending me around 2–3 months in that facility, and honestly, the experience was traumatic for me.

The environment there wasn't what I needed from a place that was supposed to provide mental health treatment. Instead of feeling like I was there to get help and understand my mental health, I felt like I was being treated as someone who needed to be fixed. The staff instructed me to change my sexuality and called me slurs multiple time like (Tum to laundaybaz ho multiple times and even isolated me from other patients) which made the entire experience even more distressing.

On top of that, I was dealing with malnourishment and poor living conditions. Being in that environment for months while already struggling mentally made everything harder. I didn't feel properly understood, and the experience left me with a lot of emotional baggage that I'm still dealing with today.

During that period, three psychiatrists collectively diagnosed me with borderline personality disorder (BPD) and I've struggled to understand what's actually happening with my mental health.

After everything that happened there, it's difficult for me to feel comfortable with psychiatric treatment. I'm scared of being put through something similar again, especially because my family has threatened to send me back.

My parents and things at home haven't exactly improved. I've experienced emotional and physical abuse, and I often feel like my feelings and basic needs don't matter to my family.

I've tried talking to my mother and explaining how much I'm struggling, but I keep ending up feeling dismissed. Even when I try to communicate calmly or explain that something is genuinely hurting me, it feels like my concerns are brushed aside.

I've reached a point where being at home itself makes me feel uneasy. I can be outside with my friends, listening to music or just hanging out, and for a while I feel almost normal. But as soon as I return home, everything comes rushing back.

I don't think people understand how exhausting it is to live like that.

And now lately, my mental health has been getting worse. I've been experiencing intense emotional distress, panic attacks, and moments when I feel so overwhelmed that I struggle to keep myself steady. Sometimes I feel frightened just being at home, and I get this overwhelming urge to leave because I don't feel comfortable there.

I've also been struggling with my BPD and trying to make sense of my emotions. There are times when I feel relatively okay, and then suddenly everything feels unbearable again. I don't have the financial independence to simply move out and start over.

Right now, I'm at a point where I don't know what my next step should be. I don't feel comfortable at home, I don't want to go back to that facility, and I feel stuck between a situation that's hurting me and not knowing how to get out of it.

What am I supposed to do now?

I'm not looking for sympathy or trying to make anyone feel sorry for me. I genuinely need some perspective because I feel like I've been trying to get through this for so long that I don't even know what a reasonable way forward looks like anymore.

I just want to figure out how to move forward and have some control over my own life.

They are either threatening me to send me back there or kick me out of home.

Thanks for taking your time and reading all of this.

Any advice is really appreciated.

the dysphoria just takes over me now

havent taken a picture of myself in over a year. Most days i wanna get into my room asap. i only keep one tiny mirror in my whole apartment. have friends but they’re all dudes who are just as is yk, it gets stale . I’m having trouble doing the most normal things. I used to be pretty steadfast and strong, but now life’s hiccups just mess me upp. i got laid off from a nice remote job and all i’ve been doing since is getting high everyday(tame stuff but still) and dysphoria just adds onto those days. its so fucking annoying. Ppl tell me i look good and stuff and yea i’m okay ig but it’s never right. and it’s just getting farther and farther away. i just wanna get out of this terrible country.
