You have to have things people want to buy before having a fire sale

If they sell Lynch im rioting

He's one of the few players who have any value.

Outside of Lynch, Lugo and Wacha I struggle to see anyone on the team that another team would want (other than the obvious untrade-ables like Bobby, Carter and Jac).

I’m under the impression that the whole reason Lynch isn’t closing is because they don’t want to devalue him before the deadline.

If he can do it that’ll heavily increase his trade value

Risk v reward

Trade your relievers. Erceg was untouchable 2 years ago.

Sad but true. Wacha, Ragans?

Ragans hasn’t been any good this year. He’s also injury prone. I doubt they’d be able to get anything significant for him

Wacha will probably draw some interest, and is probably our best asset that might actually get traded.

Ragans is more of a wild card. I think a lot of teams won't be willing to offer up much for a guy who has spent more time on the IL than he has playing at a high level

The only untouchable should be Witt. Even a strong price for Jac, Garcia, Jensen, etc. should be considered. We are transitioning into full rebuild mode around Bobby.

Mitchell is still probably a year or two away? So Jensen is iffy to me.

Not like the Farm is top notch at the moment.

I think they absolutely should listen on Garcia before it becomes more obvious that last year was a flukey career year

Doubly so because a gold glover for ~11.5M/year is cheap and even 2024 Maikel is a serviceable 8-9 hitter on a good team

Can you sell the leadership?

You can only sell what someone is willing to pay. In this case I think we’d have to pay someone to take them.

Just sell the team , already!!!! The Royals are the new "Montreal Expos'.
Why isn't Quatraro fired??

Inb4 we trade a couple pitching prospects for a bottom of the lineup utility outfielder

What are the odds of us trading for adam frazier?

I miss him

I wouldn’t hold my breath that the Royals are going to move major league pieces during the trade deadline. It feels like they’re not really being honest with themselves about the state of the franchise so I’d expect them to stand pat at best. If they’re REALLY far removed from reality, we might even see them buy a little.

u/Idrinkbeereverywhere Jun 03 '26

Vinnie maybe, then move Jac to first where his natural position is

Why would you put a guy with a 99mph cannon at 1B?

He's been good in RF. You can't move him now, that ship has sailed.

u/WhoSaidThat2Me Jun 03 '26

I’ve always wondered who owns the Pasquatch. Will it move away if Vinnie does or is he a royal

2

u/BigBlackNun Jun 03 '26

This was my exact thought before signing Vinnie to a longer deal. Cags should be taking reps at 1st every week.

u/baseball1314 Jun 03 '26

What are you talking about, the Royals are buyers

Fire sale is not the solution to our issues

0

u/Anon74955 Jun 03 '26

At this point I dont know what is.

2

u/RlPBingBong Alex Gordon's Bubble Jun 04 '26

Exactly. Can’t fire sale, can’t reset for next year. A lot of calculated moves need to be made to keep us in a playoff window, and that is sad.

As an Astros fan, we’ll gladly take Wacha & a couple prospects. What yall want in return?

6

u/baseball1314 Jun 03 '26

We love 4th outfielders, utility infielders, and backend bullpen arms

1

u/TempestDrive Jun 03 '26

We can’t help u with bullpen arms. We have THE worst ERA in the entire league atm

u/Unable_Ad4656 Jun 03 '26

hitters!!!! we need hitters!!!
