My Java Hello World Notes — Beginner Learning Journey ā˜•šŸ’»

Post image

I’m learning Java as a beginner, and I tried to make my first "Hello World" program easier to understand by breaking down each keyword with simple explanations.

I covered "public", "class", "static", "void", "main()", "String[] args", and "System.out.println()".

Instead of just memorizing the code, I want to understand why each part is used and how it works.

I’d love to hear feedback from experienced Java developers and fellow learners. What should I improve in these notes?

// Latest way of writing a hello world in JDK 25
void main() {
IO.println("Hello!");
}

It's a fun visual, but it may be a better use of your time to program instead of making infographics out of a hello world example. Just my 2 cents.

java.util.List.of("hello world").stream().map(obj -> switch (obj) { case String s when s.length() == 11 -> s; case null, default -> throw new IllegalStateException(); }).forEach(System.out::println);
