Discussion Looking forward to watching Extraordinary Attorney Minami 😊
It's amazing to see that we keep getting interesting-looking law J-Dramas on Netflix! Hopefully they keep being added 🤞🏻

I'm new to Jdramas and mostly I watch mystery dramas but I've watched them so much so I now want to cleanse my palate.
I'd really like recommendations where hero loves someone else(can be gf/friend) and he genuinely does, and then he meets the heroine. And he takes time before he falls for heroine.
I kind of want to feel very hurt for the heroine because her love is unrequited for him for a long time. Or because she knows he loves someone else.
I've watched all versions of Itazura no Kiss and Incurable Case of Love.
But I'm waiting for some other recommendations with my delighted heart!
Thank you for helping me.

Marry my husband is the first Japanese drama that I watched from beginning to end, I was totally moved by the gentlemanly and shy Director Suzuki. Would you recommend other Japanese dramas with that kind of ML? I don't like comedies but I watch any other kind of romance with drama, corporative, contract, mystery, anything really I'm just not a fan of comedy.

It's one of my favorite story archetypes. I can't get enough.
For reference, one of my favorite stories of all time, in all iterations, is Itazura Na Kiss. There is no limit on what level of grumpy the ML can have.
I am immersing myself in Japanese language to learn so it has to be Japanese, ideally on Viki, and het romance is my preference, please!
I love all kinds of female leads, but, slightly dumb golden retriever ones are my favorite.
I've watched Good morning call and and incurable case of love. I'm sure I watched more but I actually haven't watched a Dorama in years, so I can't even remember all the ones I actually watched. (I remember my first one ever was Attention Please! On Youtube in like 240p many years ago 😅)

Very very *very* late to the party I'm sure, but I just finished watching 'Jin' on Netflix (after I'd finished Last Samurai Standing and House of Ninjas) Really, really not my usual cup of tea, but was hooked !
I'm hoping there's a 2nd season for Last Samurai Standing, and same for House Of Ninja's , but the latter was several years ago, even tho it ended on a definite cliff hangar begging for another season (at least!)

Let me start by saying. Who the hell names a show soda master :D
It took me 2 tries to get through first episode, the title was just too weird and intro scenes are cheap anime budget. But coming from GTO 2026 I wanted more sorimachi.
I am at episode 8 and this show kicks Jackie chans ass (soda master) well it's a mystery show and honestly the kids and adults are a great cast.
I am starting to hate jdrama tbh, Everytime am like I just watched the best show, time to move on to American tv, I find the next banger.
Damn you netflix.
Go watch soda master!
Edit: finished it! 10/10

What if Asada Ryoutarou and Daimon Michiko get married and have a son, Tokai Seishirou, together?

Does anyone know where I can watch Haru: Sogo Shosha no Onna/ ハル ~総合商社の女~ with English subs please? Could only find episode 6 online 😭
I would genuinely do ANYTHING to watch Kaettekita zoyo! Kotaro wa Hitorigurashi( Kotaro Lives By Himself 2)
It’s literally nowhere to be found, and trust me, I’ve tried EVERYTHING. I even used a VPN to access Prime Video Japan, only to find out there were no English subtitles. 🥲
Please, if anyone knows where I can watch this with English subtitles, I’m begging you, help me out! 😭🙏 I just want to watch this show so badly!! 🥹
Edit: Found it, Thank you all.

I will genuinely do anything to see this drama once again. Life’s punchline was available on Netflix and was my comfort show, but it’s not there anymore, neither is it anywhere and trust me, I’ve tried everything. Through vpn I found it on TVer but there were no English captions. Please help me see it again. :(

Hi everyone, I heard recently the remark of Unnatural a Japanese drama into Korean is confirmed. Lim Yoona (GG)has been selected as the MC. My issue here is that Unnatural is such a great drama and I feel like Satomi Ishihara was born for that role😭 I love Yoona a huge fan since GG but then again deep down I don’t want any remakes for this drama it’s perfect the way it is ygm? Literally been a fan of Unnatural for 8 years since my teens, rewatched it soo many times, that’s how good it is. Even the OST, theme song and BGM are perfect. The theme song is one of the best ones I’ve heard so far, it worries me when it comes to the remakes they never have good musics as the original! It feels like a masterpiece is being shred apart and the worst part Kdramas are notoriously known for adding unnecessary romantic scenes! With all due respect I’ve watched lots of Japanese/Korean remakes (liked some and others were fine) BUT Unnatural should in my opinion stay UNTOUCHED🥲! Anyways I hope the Korean remake the best of luck and again this is my opinion so I hope no one takes offence to it! Anyone who’s watched Unnatural (Original) lmk ur thoughts xx

I know this drama came out in 2022, so some of you might have already watched it, but if you haven't, please add it to your watchlist!
I just finished it, and honestly, I didn't expect it to affect me this much. 😭 It's not just about scams and revenge. It also makes you think about justice, corruption, and how difficult it is for ordinary people to fight against those who have money and power.
I especially love the two leads and how differently they view justice. And that ending? It left me emotional and thinking about it long after I finished watching.
I won't spoil anything, but this is one of those dramas that reminds you why stories about justice still matter. It made me feel like there's still hope in this world, even when reality makes it hard to believe sometimes.
So yeah, if you're looking for a Japanese drama to watch, please give The Black Swindler a try!
Maybe I'm late to the party, but I just really want more people to discover this series. 🥹❤️
For those who've already watched it, what did you think of the ending?

are there any english subs out for VIVANT season 2? Was watching it on Netflix for S1 but seems like S2 is not out yet there... I saw a couple of AI translated subs for S2 but was wondering if there's any subs that are done up by people and thus preserving the nuances of the speech, or would I have to wait for Netflix to come out with S2?
Thank you

I've been a big fan of Japanese legal dramas and Black Trick is a good addition to this type of dramas. I really liked how the main character is portrayed in the drama. It perfectly captured the reality of our "honorable" politicians. They act like they own the people around them. Will Ep. 11 be the final episode?
