[LN10] So where dose the series go now? Spoiler
I’ve caught up with the series awhile ago but this is a thought ive had ever since I caught up. With the death of rosclay it really feels like anything can happen. Thats not to say that there weren’t crazy things going on before he died but now that his gone and with auerta losing there most powerful weapon and roto coming out of nowhere infecting everybody, the queen being revealed to be the second coming of shiki,Kia being in a terrible mental state and liniaris mutating. it really only feels like a matter of time before aueretia implodes. Do you think aueretia will be destroyed be the end of the tournament or nah?

The anime is fucking amazing??
I forced myself to finish v1 of ishura and i realized anime adapted 1 volume per season.
That is INSANE. There was basically zero cut content. Are there any other adapatations that cut so little?

Translation Quality
I don't know if I just started to notice it more but ever since I started to read volume 7 I noticed way more grammatical errors when reading and it doesn't seem to get better. Did the series get like a new translator since the lettering(?) also changed in volume 7 or are my volume 1-6 just corrected 2nd print editions?

Got stuck on episode 1, too traumatizing
Like for real, god damn. Why do so many animes do this? Start with some traumatizing shit in the first 5 minutes with no warning. I'm just looking for some fun fantasy adventure shows and I gotta get hit with that girl being torn apart with all the crunching of her bones and tearing of her flesh and her screaming and all that.

And no new volumes.
Anyone know history?

Why is the story broken up into verses?
I find it interesting how these verses often begin in one volume and end in another. I don't know why but I find this to be incredibly cool and I might want to appropriate this style of writing in the theoretical series that I may someday write, but I should probably know what purpose it serves first lol.

Gave my Spotify playlists an Ishura theme
I love Kureta's artwork man, altogether it is far and away the best I've seen in any light novel series.
I have all of these playlists set as public btw, so you're welcome to go check them out if you want (here's the link to my profile, you should be able to see my playlists here). Of course, the actual music in these playlists has nothing to do with Ishura, they're just a regular weirdo's typical types of playlists—stuff for the gym or driving, some stuff for sleeping or relaxing, etc.
Also, if you want, I can share the actual artwork. Most of it, including the textless versions of all the volumes' cover art, comes from Kureta's pixiv account
The second image in the post is the only piece of artwork you won't find anywhere else since I edited it myself to erase Tu the Magic, leaving Izick the Chromatic sitting alone and looking tired like a sadboy. (it's an illustration from Tu's backstory in Vol. 6, showing the moment when Izick released Tu after realizing all his work was for nothing and he'll never be able to defeat the True Demon King(those spoiler tags are all for one relatively minor spoiler in Vol. 6 btw))

Unofficial Ishura Popularity Poll - Results!
Note: This is a slightly truncated version of the poll because of reddit's image limits. For the whole presentation, click here.
I finally found the time to share the answers from the Popularity Poll I did a while back!
As a whole, the poll got 26 answers, though most questions got less than that because they weren't mandatory. The original poll link still accepts answers so if you missed this before you can fill it out for fun. This spreadsheet shows every answer and should still update with each new one automatically.
The pie charts don't show entries with 0 votes, but you can go edit your previous answer to see them if you want.
Happy 10 Ishura volumes, and let's hope for a new one soon!

How would you rank the introduction chapter enemies in terms of power?
How I would rank them - Dungeon golem > Nemelhelga + Reshipt > Krafnir + Rique > Neft > Vikeon > Kazuki > Belka > Gilnes > Lagrex.
My ranking is based off onscreen performance.

[LN8 spoilers] This shura is....... Spoiler
I'm reading through vol 8 and I'm enjoying it so far(almost done in fact) I really like how it's going over everything happing during irolde's death from the last volume and going further into Rosclay's character. That being said I've gotten to the end of the "tenth match" with Sojurio and rosclay. And it's pretty great. It really shows off why Rosclay is a shura. Thinking far ahead and using every possible resource he can to take out Soujiro. I also like how the fight kind of goes back to what Soujiro's teacher said to him back in the day. And I get to Rosclay's death scene which is really emotional and really shows off his chaaracter in the best way. And I really want to enjoy it, but there's this one little problem. Iska, she's 16(this was revealed in the blue beetle scene) and Rosclay is 26. In case anyone might have missed this(because I see like no discussions about this) in one of Rosclays flashbacks. He saved Iska from slave traders when he was 17, it was specified that Iska was 7 at the time. She even mentions that she can barley remember what even happened that day because she was so young.
It would be on thing is the story actually treated this "relationship" as a gross child bride sort of thing but it doesn't. Rosclay and iska relationship is romanticized throughout the whole story from what I've seen so far. Could you imagine if say Izick the chromatic's atrocities weren't treated as actually atrocities? And he was treated as just some kind of slightly mean mad scientist that has a ego problem. It be so off putting. That's how I feel towards Rosclay at the moment. Like I don't understand why it's so hard to not just idk make both characters similar in age. Literally nothing would be lost.

Who is the strongest character Toroa could beat in Kagurabachi?
Having recently caught up on Kagurabachi, I couldn't help thinking that Toroa fits this story perfectly, so I thought it would be fun to ask this question.
Round 1 - speed not equalized.
Round 2 - speed equalized.

Unofficial Ishura popularity poll - again
A few months ago I made an Ishura popularity poll.
Since then, I've been too busy with life and couldn't find the time to post the results.
I should be able to post them soon, but I thought before that I could send the link again to get a few more answers.
I've also added one more question: favorite LN volume title, so if you did answer this poll previously I recommend editing and updating your answer.
None of the poll's questions are a requirement besides your favorite character, so feel free to answer as many of them as you'd like.
You can expect the poll results around july 10th.

Does utah ever see a magician do magic tricks?
Have barely read some chapters of the novel after the anime, would utah be able to stop a magician doing magic tricks such as making a Dove appear from his hat or making someone dissapear, since he could perceive it as unatural phenomena, or could it baambozle Utah into questioning everything he knows losing his power in the process?

What if these two social experts meet? How would they change each other's respective series?
Scenario1: Hiroto got transported to Ikebukuro without his wealth and goblin army. All he has is his clothes on his back, and his trusty megaphone. Fortunately, he already knew who the key players are.
Scenario2: Izaya got transported to Auretia without his wealth. All he has is his clothes on his back, and his trusty pocket knife. Fortunately, he already knew who the key players are.

Should I keep reading?
I've finished Volume 1 and I'm wondering if maybe this series just isn't for me? It's very well written and the world-building is done quite well, but I didn't exactly like how most of the characters are only explained at a very surface level. Most of these characters are so powerful, and it feels like the author uses that (and the True Demon King War) as a reason to not really expand on them more?
I loved seeing the scenes that Yuno are in. You get to read how she feels about being at the whims of the Shura. It's very personal and there's a reason for me to feel attached to her quest for vengeance. Despite Soujirou being a very one-dimensional character, Chapter 1 works for me specifically because it's from Yuno's POV. Soujirou's "counterpart", Dakai, doesn't have such a "foil" character, and feels very bland in comparison (up until he faces off with Yuno in the jail).
Putting aside the characters that have no driving force besides "I want good fights", there's also the characters that clearly have some reason for fighting but don't get expanded on. For example, Nihilo wants to live as a minia. We don't get much more of an explanation than that. What was she like before she was "dead"? Why, despite seemingly enjoying the power that comes from her exoskeleton, despite seemingly enjoying the act of killing minia, does she still want to live among them? What exactly does she see in the minia that would make her want to live among them? So many questions I thought would be answered, and yet, she and other similar characters like Taren are just killed off.
The fights are really well-written, but unfortunately but I don't have enough attachment to these characters to really care.
Is this what I should expect for future Volumes? If this is my impression of Volume 1, should I still keep reading?

[LN5 spoilers] Question regarding a certain shura Spoiler
So I finally finished vol 5(I kind of fell off the series for a bit cuz I had irl stuff to do) and I enjoyed it(even though zogi was the only shura that got slimed out in the first round instead of that bum rosclay) but I am confused about uhak or I guess I should say Setera killing shiki. At first it seemed like he was affected by shiki's fear but he was still able to kill the demon king after Ozonezma caried him. So my question is why couldn't he just go walk up to the true demon king by himself initially?
