I have already bought the pebble grey 10x13 shag rug, the coffee table, and TV console. I’m pretty confused as to what couch to go with l. Because my new place has a big wide open first floor layout with really tall ceilings. I was thinking a big sectional but I’m really liking the idea of just a 2 couch set with a side table between because no one ends up in that corner seat anyways. All my friends like the olive couch set but Im not sure about it, maybe the room will look better with more stuff like plants.
I like the brown couch the most but my friends say it makes everything too brown and keep calling it the “poop room”.
What would you do with this room?

hi! i’m moving into a new apartment and am having some trouble figuring out how to make the layout work. as you can tell by the photo, the corners are not perfect 90 degree angles, so it feels like no matter where i put the bed there’s an awkward space next to it. so far i’ve settled on putting it under the window, but it still feels like there should be a better way to arrange it so that i can also fit in a dresser and hopefully not have an awkward space.
any help would be appreciated!

hey guys i finally got my own room at 17 after sharing with my sister (ignore how messy it is 😅) furniture is so new it’s burning my eyes.
I feel like my room has much more potential idk what i did but this isn’t it, i feel like im missing a lot of space im trying to figure out how to maximize it, any ideas? i wanna put in a new shelf and a shoe shelf from ikea.
I honestly don’t like the way the mirror is really in between the sofa and shelf. I feel like it’s crowded and i don’t have enough mobility by the mirror.
was planning to get a tv as well but when i got the furniture and saw how little space there was i was like yep there’s no space for that 😭

The room is 5.07m long and 3.11m wide.
The window is on the long wall as well as the garden doors.
The previous owners have kept it on the short wall with the couch on the opposite side but it seems to be quite a distance to the other side.
We’d ideally keep it on a long wall but opposite the window doesn’t seem ideal because of the glare. We’d also like to keep a dining table in the room ideally

What table size would you choose for my 12x12 dining room? Need to keep the path of travel clear for everyday use (to the right is the entry to the kitchen), but when we have guests it’s okay if things feel a bit tight.
Looking at either a 60 inch round that extends to 78 inches when guests are over, or a 72 inch round. Both are pedestal base. No other furniture will be in the room!

Hi everyone, I would greatly appreciate some input on other ways to potentially arrange our living room! I don't not like how we have it now, but feel like there's a lot of unused space.
Used FloorPlanner for the picture. Space is approximately 15' x11'
Top left corner - fireplace
Top wall doorway - leads to dining room
Right wall, top - passthrough to kitchen (like a window without glass)
Right wall, bottom - doorway leading to small foyer
Bottom wall - bay window, no floor space
Reposted per Mod direction

Green = window
Purple = sliding door wardrobe
Blue = boxes and other stuff that can be potentially moved
Red = vanity with wall mounted mirror
Pink = Bed (has drawers underneath)
Orange = bookshelf mounted to the wall
I am currently dealing with a lot of medical issues and am bedridden most days. I’m wanting to play video games on my pc but I don’t have the energy to sit upright at a desk. I’m thinking of getting a tv to hook it up to but I currently can’t think of a way because if I put it at the end of my bed, it blocks the sliding door wardrobe. My room is quite small and I’m wondering if there is anyway I can rearrange it so I can make it more practical and potentially be able to game from my bed.

Hello guys! I would love to have some advices for our new home. We have this bedroom which is not very big and we dont know how and where to put the garderobe. We were thinking to put at the wall in front of the bed with a deepth of 45cm max that allow a space of 45cm beetwen the bed and the garderobe. Maybe with courtains or sliding doors…
But we are not really sure… some ideas? Thank you so much 🩵

I am trying to redesign my living room! It serves as both the primary entryway to the home and living space.
We have a fireplace that we never use but it still feels wrong to cover it up. The mantle is quite high so the TV can't go above it.
Right now, the TV goes on the wall labeled "TV wall" between open entry points to the kitchen and dining room. The sofa starts under the window and ends just before the fireplace. We also have assorted furniture in the room that doesn't quite work together. I'm open to purchasing items I just really can't figure out what arrangement would work best here. Any thoughts?
Thank you!

I recently bought this house (these are photos from the listing, not mine). The problem is I don’t like the kitchen. I don’t feel like it goes with the mcm vibe of the home. I don’t have the budget to redo it and probably have to live with the cabinets for a while, but anyone have ideas to make it less modern? I was thinking of peel and stick black and white checkered floor in the kitchen but unsure if that works over the existing tile/grout lines.

Hello, it's time for a small renovation and rearrangement of the living room. I'll need to fit a desk (remote work) into the living room, and I'm thinking of a layout that makes sense. Layout A seems more natural, but Layout B would accommodate a lot more things (you could place a spacious wall unit against the 461cm wall) and would separate the office area from the living room. Has anyone else faced a similar challenge and can offer any advice?
Note:
In Layout B, I combined three armchairs—the IKEA planner doesn't work as well as it used to :D. These three armchairs count as a sofa.
Of course, if anyone has a better arrangement idea, I'm open to suggestions.

This is the attic in our new house, our plan is to hopefully to turn it into a primary suite (bedroom and bathroom - hopefully full and not half) but we're not sure we can without dormering which is not our preferred option. The highest point is 8' and is 4'wide before it angles downwards.
You enter the upstairs facing the back window, and the stairs are slightely to the left side (looking at 2nd photo) so the walking area on the left side is quite tight. The right side has the waterpipe, which we might have a shower that's walk in? Just curious if this is possible and if people have ideas on how to make it function. We would love to put skylights fyi and get rid of these horrid lights.

I just bought my first house (yay!) and I have a gorgeous sunken living room that I get to decorate. I plan to buy a new couch and I had originally envisioned a sectional/L shape but am having trouble figuring out how best to lay out the space.
I have a 42” TV that I’m hoping to mount on the wall. I figure the ideal space is the one blank wall that the heat pump is on, but I’m open to any and all suggestions or ideas.

Hello everyone!
I need help figuring out how to place the furniture in this living room that was turned into bed room. I've created a rough layout of my room with the IKEA tool cause the actual room is a bit messy.
Some details:
1- The door on the left wall leads to my roommate's room. The other door leads to the house entrance. Roommate has to pass by my room to get to the entrance, toilet, and kitchen. Creating some sense of privacy would be nice.
2- I have white curtains over the windows, and a radiator heater under the window (runs across 75% of the wall, centered).
3- The huge black couch is my "bed". I added multiple elements to make the dimensions closer to reality, but you can consider the whole black couch as one entity. I sleep on the part of the couch that is on the right: if the couch back is made up of 3 units, i use the 2 units on the right to sleep. Basically I dont sleep on the extended bit nor the main bit that it protrudes from.)
4- The room is 5.2x3.75m and the couch is 3.2m wide. The extended section of the couch is 2m deep.
5- The TV table on the left has a TV on it, but that whole thing is not for me. I want to ideally keep it there cause I don't use it.
Any advice is welcome; thank you in advance!

Hi, I moved in and was wondering where I should place these two plug in sconces. Initially, I had wanted to place one on either side of the headboard. But since the vanity had to be placed on one side of the bed, I think one sconces on each side is out of the question. Here’s my dilemma, should I:
1) place both sconces above the headboard
2) use only one scone and place it above the night stand.
I’m open to other suggestions as well. Please help. The deadline to return one of the sconces is next week 😓.

After my break up I’m turning my Berlin living room into my bed room & living space - for now I’ve just crammed everything inside (second pic) but something needs to change. I loveeee my vintage dining table but it’s clearly too large for the space. I’m considering taking out the middle module of my Sofa to shorten it so that I could put a smaller round table in front of the plants / left from the sofa. Then, with the huge table gone, maybe my clothes rack could go there. Or I’ll leave it where it is, create a room divider with that macrame thing (third pic) sticking out from the wall so that it’s covering the back side of my clothes rack. And the I can put more drawers where the large table is right now, cause I could use some space. And technically would love to keep the sofa large, it’s so comfy….
Any better ideas?:/

Struggling to figure out the layout of this long living room. Would need a place for TV, couch (we currently have a left chaise couch, but we are wanting a new couch anyway - so feel free to suggest other sizes or concepts!), oversized chair, side table, & coffee table. This space features built in shelving, a wood fired stove, & a large bay window with custom cushion.
Thanks in advance!

Wife and I just moved into a house with this unusual bedroom upstairs. Looking for ideas on how to optimize this space, specifically closet wise. #1 requirement is the closet in the 2nd photo has to be removed to make room for HVAC vents on that wall. Pardon the mess, we have a half dozen other projects going on in the house and the room is currently a dumping ground. Below are our ideas
Ideas:
Mid-wall closet replacement:
Make the nook area to the right of the stairs (where the ironing board is) a walk in closet, but adding a walk in with a covered ceiling in this room means a large flat top that I think would look awkward. The closets with their boxed off tops in this space look odd enough as they are. We thought about leaving the top open but sunlight beating down on our clothes from the huge windows would probably fade them.
Corner closet:
Expand this closet to wrap around the gray chimney next to it, and instead of being rectangular it would have three outer walls, and extending the walls to the ceiling
Loft area:
Replace the railing with vertical wooden rails that extend from edge of the loft floor to the ceiling to make the space a bit more enclosed. This space would be a reading area/music space/extra home office space.
Thank you!

We moved from an apartment with big rooms (~35m² living and dining room) to our house with a lot of smaller rooms (~20m² living and dining room).
We didn't want to buy new furniture and thought we could make them fit in the smaller living room.
After moving stuff around a lot we're at a point where we need help.
We moved out our couch, because it was way to big. Now we're trying out our armchairs. They are way more space efficient but someone never has enough light for reading and watching stuff on our tablet together or cuddling is impossible.
Please help us! We appreciate any tips. :) <3

So my master bedroom bathroom sink is like the picture and currently is very messy because there’s very limited storage room. We are gonna remodel it but not sure where is the best place for storage. Can you give me some ideas?
Thank you!

I’m completely torn on which cabinet and flooring direction to take for my kitchen remodel and could use some outside perspective.🙏
The space is an open layout with standard 8ft ceilings. While the kitchen workspace itself has NO direct windows, it’s definitely not a total dungeon…it gets some natural light spilling over from the attached living room and den.
I really need help choosing between these four cabinet and LVP pairings:
A & B: Pearl White + Natural Cabinets
Light/bright cabinets paired with a 7x48” LVP plank (slightly darker, warmer golden tone).
C & D: Cashmere + Slate Cabinets
Contrasting cabinets paired with a 9x60” LVP plank (lighter, more neutral tone).
(PS: The little gold thing in the moodboards just represents the brass hardware color family I'll be using)
Should I stick to the light cabinets and warmer LVP, or lean into the dark cabinet contrast with the wider, neutral LVP?
Which combo works best for this space?
