That was one hell of a change of direction! I've seen UAP like that, only the other day actually... But no more than 100 feet away. It's not flapping IMO - it's morphing/spinning.

I'm sure a load of people will be 100% sure it's a bird. They always are!

is it because of the flashing = wing beats? my only other thought if it was anomalous would be its was tumbling

Look, we need to be honest and a lot more critical around here. If you need to ask because you cannot tell if it is a mundane terrestrial explanation or potentially an anomalous object, more often than not the reality is that it's the mundane.

I have seen more birds and balloons in the last few months here than I have ever before and its like all critical thinking has gone out the window.

well i have lots of footage that after stabilizing i realized it was a bird and i never posted those. i asked because i couldn't tell with this one. now i know, and i encourage everyone with footage they think is anomalous to post so they can learn the difference.

OP, were using using a handheld thermal device to capture this footage? Can I ask which model was used?

mundane terrestrial explanation

There is a long, documented history of the phenomenon displaying mimicry.

In this video clip, George Knapp explains how the phenomenon mimics mundane objects like drones.

Observers frequently document luminous anomalies mimicking standard commercial satellites or high-altitude stars.

We have a great deal of evidence which shows that the plasma orbs use mimicry to appear as man-made aircraft like "drones".

I believe the mimicry is required to not violate our collective free will. The orbs have never done anything malevolent, and in fact people have reported miraculous healing events from the orbs throughout history.

These objects seem close enough to airplanes that non-believers will immediately see a plane and disregard them.

Ufo sightings are like an onion of anomalies. The longer we look and listen, the more we will peel back and discover. At first glance, they resemble satellites, stars, drones or planes, but they're not quite right.

I think it's a brilliant system which allows curious people to notice the strange anomalies and investigate them further.

And it lets those who wish to remain sleeping alone in their slumber. In this way, our free will is not violated. We are meant to choose for ourselves what to believe in.

Pixelated, can I ask what is your all-time favorite UAP sighting video on the Internet?

Hey bro, it would be this sighting because it was so personal to me.

Filmed with thermal scope with 3x base optical zoom then stabilized. Full length raw video from the scope: https://files.catbox.moe/fxydev.mp4

An alien drone.

Well, we know for a fact that birds exist but we don't even know what is actually meant when you say "orb", so in the absence of any other evidence, the former must be significantly more likely.

Looks like a faulty pixel.

At least you asked… kudos

Likely bird, due to the teensy dot size, the changes in brightness due to the wing flaps changing the overall reflectivity of the bird. If it's an orb, it's usually bigger, super bright so it won't dim or flicker like that.

i wish i was better at post processing so we could track its path and see changes in brightness etc but it took all my effort just to stabilize this lol (also check out the full raw video since reddit compressed it badly)
