Before I start, I want to make it clear that I support every intactivist and they all have my respect for being among the first of our generation to speak on such issues actively. I encourage every person here to be kind, and to avoid anything they know will damage the movement or the people in this movement. Remember to set aside any deep disagreements you may have with intactivists (while still holding them accountable) whether that be in or out of the movement. We work together to get all genital cutting banned, then we can squabble.

Anyway, time to actually explain what I am talking about here.

There is a difference between holding people accountable. POTS and Great American Intactivist/Nolan have done some good, but they do a lot of bad too.

Yes, POTS is right about how risky Intact Global and Foregen are. But there's a problem here. POTS claims to be the only "major" "low risk medium reward" type intactivist, where as other "major" "High risk high reward" intactivists like Clopper and Foregen are supposedly worse off. However, POTS has lit some bridges on fire, and he often appears to switch sides, even if he may not do that. However he has been dodging comments about debates recently. Running from debates is a terrible thing to do, because if we are gonna have fights in this (which we shouldn't) then at least communicate why you behave how you do and why you think others are wrong! Let's not forget what POTS is registered as. POTS is registered as an LTD. Not any sort of non-for-profit but an LTD. LTD sound familiar? Lucasfilm, ltd. Lucasfilm as in the thing that produced star wars. My point there is that it's for profit. Also there's the amazon link which I won't get into too much because I only speak on topics I know about.

As for Nolan, he does have a good motive trying to hold POTS to a high standard, especially when POTS is over 1k subscribers on youtube, as that is a big influence. However, how he has been acting the past couple of days has been erratic, and unproper for an intactivist.

You don't need to make songs about POTS being a "fart" and much similar slop making fun of him, to get your point across! When you make a video about POTS having a gf/wife in the vtube universe and then videos joking as a tour of the POTS mansion, that doesn't help anyone. Nolan has also made false accusations about various creators being circumcised without evidence, including Catholic creator named Jesus.and.whatnot, Ishowspeed and others! Often these clips are taken out of context of when chat would bury messages, and only highlights creators who are against it! His one loyal commenter on the Jesus.and.whatnot clip claims that Jesus.and.whatnot dodges the topic and cuts it short. Maybe he could have talked about it for a few seconds longer, but, ANY exposure to this movement and against infant genital cutting is great. Nolan just ignored this comment instead of responding properly. Also Nolan couldn't respond to this comment but also managed to challenge POTS to a debate.

Anyway, probably going to get some people who aren't happy about this opinion. I'll put some tags. Those people can feel free to downvote me, as I believe in freedom of speech.

Tags so the immature people have no ground to stand on when they claim I suck up to a certain intactivist: Intactivism, anti-cutting, pro-rights, body, bodily autonomy, independence, male circumcision.

I was listening to one of the Intact Again podcasts (these guys are doing amazing work) and heard repeatedly guys implying that Christians are required to circumcise. They are not. IF Christians are circumcising it is most likely because of medical misinformation, cultural norms or aesthetic preferences.

Here's the part where I speak specifically to fellow Christians.

We are no longer under the law of Moses. Jesus has taken on ALL of our debt. There is nothing we are required to do to be sanctified for eternal life - what more could we do than what Jesus has already done. In fact, the Bible explicitly tells us that circumcision is of NO USE to believers in Christ. Galatians 5:2 - ...if "Christ will be of no value to you at all" if you accept circumcision as a requirement for salvation. I hope that clears things up.

Now go and cut no more.

I would like to adress here something that happened to me when I was a young boy, something painful and shameful to many, something that many consider normal medical practice, but in fact this is a genital violence against men: forced retraction of the foreskin.

The foreskin naturally detaches from the glans with time and patience, forced retraction is done in order to hasten this process at the cost of the boy's feelings and privacy. The pediatrician told my parents it was needed and instructed them, they, believing it was needed, performed such brutality, and I suffered for no real need... the pain is unbearable, you scream, you cry, yet it doesn't stop, people don't stop imposing such violence on you.

So friends, bear this in mind when having kids or talking to people who have boys, this genital violence is unecessary, painful and embarrassing. No boy should have to endure this, and the fact that I don't see more people speaking about it is sad and revolting.

My son seems to be open to leaving him intact, but his wife seems like she’s thinking it will lead to a problem with uncleanliness and infections, etc… she used to be a nurse and had more elderly male patients. He says she’s kinda leaving it up to him, but I don’t want them to be wishy washy at all! So, I want to share educational links with them that explains the function of the foreskin, counter arguments to the common justifications for circumcision and critiques of the “scientific” articles out there. But I fear some of the sites will be seen by them too extreme or “fanatical”, and it may turn them away. I agree with some of the extreme means we need to take, but I need something that may help meet them in the middle? I’m open for suggestions, DMs, or whatever.

When someone comes into an advocacy movement asking for support, you expect a grassroots voice or a non profit effort. But POTS isn't a non profit organization. It is branded and operated as an LTD a private, for profit limited company.

If the main character of GTA6 is uncut then this is seriously a major win for the intactivist movement. Tens of millions of gamers in the United States and around the whole world are about to see one of their favorite characters depicted with a normal and natural intact foreskin. While the penis of a fictional video game character might sound trivial and irrelevant, little things like this shape the average person's perception of what's normal and what isn't.

Anybody know if a father in Malaysia has a legal recourse to prevent his ex-wife from having their son circumcised?

I'm sure by now we all know the Oregon court granted the State’s motion for summary judgment due to a lack of standing. The judge reasoned that the Plaintiffs lack standing because Oregon did not force anyone to cut the Plaintiffs, nor is it possible to make the Plaintiffs whole.

I understand the Plaintiffs are going to appeal this decision and continue the fight. Eric likewise has clients in Colorado who want to argue the same equal protection theory as the Plaintiffs in Oregon.

If other states have similar standing requirements, I am not optimistic that the Equal Protection Theory will prevail. It seems to me that the bar for standing to sue is impossibly high. Who could possibly have standing if circumcised men must show that the state cut them and/or that the state can provide relief?

Let’s assume, then, just for fun, that the equal protection theory fails in all 50 states. What alternative legal theories could we use to have our day in court?

Could we use the laws on criminal battery and child abuse to stop MGM? A tort claim will fail because of parental proxy consent and because children cannot sue their parents. It must be criminal.

So the question becomes: How would we get a DA to assign counsel to prosecute parents or doctors under criminal battery and child abuse laws, as they would for FGM?

Could we get a child circumcised to call the police or CPS to report it as abuse? Or could we find two parents with a circumcised child who are divided on the issue, and have one parent—the non-cutting parent—call the police to report their spouse for abusing their child?

If nothing else, can I at least get a sanity check?
