Y’all are freaking PHYSIC!!!

Post image

It always baffles me how many followers these influencers get when they can barely spell and do the bare minimum with spell check. Psychic and physic, definitely and defiantly, loose and lose, smoothe and smooth.

I saw a reel about how people are even speaking incorrectly now. The example was using “women” when they mean “woman”

Another one I see a lot is “bestfriend”

I worry that eventually society will dumb itself down so much that the illiterate become the correct ones. Sort of like in Idiocracy

I feel like I already hear this, maybe it’s because I’m from Utah, but ‘supposably’ and ‘irregardless’ and ‘wary’ instead of ‘weary.’

Ugh truth be told I have to google wary and weary each time I want to use the word 🥴

I have dyslexia so I do this as well! the difference between that and these influencers is you bother to check!

You’re allowed to have at least one. Mine is affect vs effect. Have to Google every damn time!

That is my other one! But maybe the difference between myself and the functionally illiterate is that I know that I don’t know

Yes! We have that in common. We know enough to know, we don’t know and we find the correct answer!

On their phone 24/7 and cannot be bothered to check spelling is crazy.

I always thought they were doing it on purpose to get people to comment correcting them to improve engagement but maybe not?

I think some of them do it on purpose. They know it drives engagement when people starting replying to the stories correcting their spelling.

the amount of people who don’t know there is a difference between “a part” and “apart”
