Its not even just biased itās carefully manufactured with mental gymnastics to peddle an agenda to naive 15-24 yr old kids. His most popular take why do we need highways spend money on something important tells me everything I need to know about him. Ps i donāt mind him criticising anyone, he can criticise whoever whatever. If has already picked a side then atleast be honest and upfront about it, and donāt larp as some neutral unbiased centrist political commentator when u clearly arenāt one.

Criticising bjp and modi is very fair and is not a big deal in a good functioning democracy and no one is saying anything about it but this guy is a very big hypocrite and is very biased.i used to watch his videos some years ago and they were good but later on he became increasingly biased and hypocritical. You cannot show things that transpired in recent events, and claim he's getting hate, or not understand why he gets hate.
Before all these CJP Protests, bro was a psuedo liberal, who only used to speak on Hindu crimes, and stay silent on anything muslims did.
He once challenged ppl to stop calling Anti Hindu movies as propaganda, and make a film of their own If they had a problem, claiming to not involve Art with Politics, and when Dhurandhar was made, bro cried like a dog on both those movies.

Coz even though his entire persona is anti-establishment, at times he does go a off track and against whoever he is usually posting, their followers pick that one wrong thing and ask him for accountability. Apparently, asking for accountability from non-elected individuals is good for some, while asking from those whom we elected is wrong.

If he is neutral he should speak against bad of all parties not just 1 , all religions not only hinduism. He even said that recent plane stabbing incident of Indian pilot was an Israeli idea, like bro wtf just because pilot was hindu and co pilot muslim u start your propaganda again?
9
u/Clear-Sir-2151 15h ago
regarding lord ram eating meat, that depends on the ramayana you read, for example, gita press gorakhpur one is translated as per modern vaishnav philosophy of absolute non-violence so references or eating meat or drinking liquor are removed, meanwhile translators like bibek debroy translated valmiki ramayana from purely literature view so the shlokas were translated as is.
for example, gita press gorakhpur can say that in shlokas, 'maas' means 'meat of fruit/bulb/root ie it's usable/edible part' instead of 'meat of animal', but bibek debroy's ramayana would translate it as is, if 'maas' is written, it is written as 'meat' instead of trying to explain that no, meat means edible/usable part here or something.
see the thing is, in hinduism or ancient indian texts, almost nothing is 'utter nonsense', it just depends on the spectacle, the moral standards you see things from and all that
societies always change, what is right and wrong always change and our scriptures have adapted to them, so should we now start eating meat, hell no, but don't eat meat because lord ram used to or don't not eat meat as you think it makes you morally superior or 'true hindu'
hinduism is not like abrahmic religions with a clear set of yes and no, right and wrong

What if Lord Rama had ate meat?? Why is the idea so scandalous? He was stranded in a forest and there are lot of passages about him going on hunts. What was he doing with the deer he was hunting?? For lot of hindu deities, animal sacrifice is a completely normal part of pujas and the meat is consumed as part of prasad.

Absolutely. I do though enjoy every festival- be it eid, holi, diwali, christmas with my friends( i do have a diverse group and I am thankful) but the only difference is that I don't follow any practices instead I donate food and money to the needy at temples, mosques, etc.

1
u/GARV_D19 21h ago
He has openly criticised the existence of whole mahabharat , what is bhagwad gita based on?
Secondly, he is selectively biased towards BJP
He only points out those areas where only the BJP lacks. And if u didnāt know he has helped AAP with their social media campaigns too.
And criticising isnāt wrong selective outrage is.
And also he talks a lot about brainwashing and manipulation and being at the neutral side of the things.
But when ur critical focus is only at one party and all u do is rant about their shortcomings instead of mentioning their achievements too it sets a narrative for his viewers.
If I constantly points out the subjects u failed in and ur inability to critical thinking
And fail to mention the subjects u are good in and the achievements youāve had in other curricular activities infront of a whole crowd. What do u think people are gonna think of u?
And TBH if u watch his youtibe videos thoroughly he is very notorious for pulling article paragraphs which are out of context. He marks only those line which are Convinient for him.
Also If he wanna criticise religion sure he can.
But being an atheist doesnāt give u the right to insult otherās beliefs. There is a difference between insulting & asking questions
And there is a difference between selective outrage & criticism
Waiting for your Bullshit arguments ā²ļø

Also there is a huge difference between Culture, Heritage and Faith. Take example of Japan.Ā
Also even if he don't care abt culture and all, still there is no problem. Now 1st argument is relative, I mean he IS biased, but so the others which are even more extreme like Sham Sharma, Enginner Explains. Now He's getting more hate Obv cause he is extremely popular than the others.

No bullshit arguements here. He's openly biased and as a leftist, it's gotten too much for me as well. However, he's free to question religious texts such as the Mahabharatha just as you are free to question the Bible or the Quaran. Just becuase it's ancient, it doesn't make it infallible or immune to being questioned. I agree that mutual respect needs to be extended but when the religious far right is completely against atheists even expressing their own opinions or even eating non-veg in their own homes, I can understand where the hostility is coming from.
Also, not once have I seen him criticize religion itself, only superstition or scammer practioners.

the fact that everything wrong in this country had something to do with Congress or left makes his argument irrelavant when compared to on ground reality.
For example. He screams women are being harassed, india isnt safe... blah blah. How he wants to fix this? Harsher laws.
But in reality we had harsher laws before, the real issue was that of policing. The fact that a MLA can control police via controlling who gets promoted in police system is the flaw. this system was designed by british to keep indians slaves, our leftists never bothered to remove it.
Saar but casteism saar. Similar issue, similar british system which leftists refused to fix and later increased the casteism so that their divide and rule politics can continue.
For me biggest issues are gynocentricism, taxes, corruption, healthcare, islamization and climate change.
I dont think or expect indian left to fix any of this

Clear agenda against the current government with manufactured facts and sometimes his takes are complete opposite of truth. A huge Hindu identity hater as well. Apparently the flight hijacking was a false flag operation according to him because the pilot started praising his god.
I have no problem with you if you come out clear that that's what your ideology is and thats what you support but these cunts who market themselves as neutral and then be sneaky about their agenda is what I hate the most.

On should see his views on straight of malacca, he talks utter rubbish with so much confidence, ex defence personnel and many experts within the field exposed his narrative with facts..I am sure even dhruv rathee knows about the kind nonsense he pours out but that's his bread and butter, the audience who cater to his stuff aren't interested in facts...

Cherry picks the things fitting his narrative and often uses half-truths (and has a terrible research team with below average takes) Most recent example after being pressurized into covering Smit Machhar's heroic fight against the flydubai terrorist hijacker, he also says people are wondering how the copilot was able to sneak in a knife (in fact it was an emergency axe) so two things here - he adds a conspiracy theory angle with incorrect information just to appear unbiased and keep his anti Israel Pakistani, Bangladeshi and Indian followers happy.
There are many such cases.

A guy whose sole mission in life is to be critical of everything India from the comfort of his home in Germany is obviously one heck of a hypocrite. He is extremely biased in his views and logic and rationality always takes a backseat in his discourses.

Heās not neutral, and he has many non-objective biases that are clearly not based on fact. I.e. he lies and his followers take it as truth. He may delete or retract from his posts, but its clear he puts the half truth or lie in first.
A person who lies like that is not there to educate the public, he is there to shift political sentiment benefiting one side over another. Its just modern yellow journalism.
Heās obviously been dealing with AAP since long back, he has worked for them, just like Abhijit Dipke and some of the others. So heās definitely not from a balanced space where equal criticism and support is involved when necessary.
He has no real stake in India, or responsibility towards it, since heās a German citizen and residing there while posting about India. Thats really scary, since weāre basically talking about a foreigner that influences Indian citizens on its policies and politics. Weāre a sovereign nation ffs. Even if heās jailed in the protests, worst case guy can get his govt to pull him back.
Heās fooled Indians with his bullshit app, basically cash grabs with his uneducated followers.

Because he claims to be unbiased but is clearly a leftist/liberal, problem is if he claims himself to be a left wing content creator no one wouldāve hated him this much

People hate him because he makes biased videos. But I believe that's how youtube works. You will get more subscribers if you make controversial and sensational videos. His ultimate aim is to earn subscribers and money. I don't think it's affecting him which government is in power.

People who donāt relate to his ideology and message hate him. Some may genuinely not believe in what he has to say, but most donāt even have two brain cells to form their own opinion. So they borrow theirs from social media.

This Govt controlled traditional media. But they can't control YouTubers or online portals. They tried but it only backfired. Their reach is getting bigger every passing days. The government is scared now because people started asking questions and demanding accountability. "Bharat maata ki jai" and "Jai Shree Ram" is not a satisfying answer anymore. Because of that BJP is not gaining any new voters other than Muslim haters. Kids are openly telling "Mera baap Modi Bhakt hai" on camera. Can you imagine this happening 10 or 5 years ago?
Dhruv Rathee is also different from the others.Ā Most of the other online news outlets are in English. His contents are in Hindi. He also use simple language to explain everything. This made his reach bigger than some news outlets. Just look at the views on the screenshots. Mahua Moitra's fiery speech at Parliament won't reach the common people. Most of the Hindi belt won't understand anything she said. But "Namaskar Doston" and "Is baat ko is tarah se samajhte hai" had burst many of their narrative balloon.Ā

No one with a logically sane mind hates him. He creates content explaining important stuff. Yes, he have strong opinions against the current govt. but he is never short on facts.
Look closely at the hate you observed against him. People will call him german shepherd, congressi, deshdrohi, and mock him. No hate born out of logical argument, because there isn't. The hate you see is just to discredit him because the people in power can not win with logic.

Bcoz he lies. He cherry picks information, hides half the information and will straightaway label u names if u have an opinion.... eventually u will see limited access to comment section and he filters the comments to his taste.
