Second Lieutenant Arun Khetarpal was just 21 when he was killed during the Battle of Basantar in the 1971 Indo-Pak War. He was posthumously awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his extraordinary courage.

Nearly 30 years later, his father, Brigadier Madan Lal Khetarpal, visited his ancestral home in Sargodha, Pakistan. His host was retired Pakistani Brigadier Khwaja Mohammad Naser, who had commanded the Pakistani tank squadron that engaged Arun.

During their conversation, Naser revealed that his tank had been responsible for killing Arun. Imagine travelling to another country to visit your childhood home, only to discover that your host was the man responsible for your son's death.

Despite the painful revelation, the encounter reportedly ended with mutual respect between the two former adversaries. Naser acknowledged Arun's courage, and presented brigadier khetrapal a citation which he had written for Arun's bravery which was also done by brig MPS bajwa in Kargil

It reminds you that, even in war, the people fighting on opposite sides can share a profound understanding of courage and sacrifice.

Jaish-e-Mohammed commander Muhammad Asim reportedly died in a road accident yesterday, along with his wife and son. His funeral is expected to be held at Jamia Ashrafia in Lahore.

Asim was involved in JeM's operational activities, recruitment and fundraising, and was reportedly responsible for maintaining the group's ties with Hamas. An interesting development from a militant-network perspective. Looks like hindu yahoodi sadish got real 🌚😂

Hull rings, spotted, these came into view since late 2023/early 2024

biggest updates:

Credit: Strategic forum/ Arihant class ssbn thread.
These circular blocks were spotted at Hazira facility last week, by forum members. The diameter and size/shape of the blocks point to that of a large submarine.

Fun fact: I have a person at my Church at Gurugram who is working on this project, he recently shifted to Vizag, he told me some insider stuff of the submarine, which of course I can't reveal here, but the government are way ahead in the project, much has been completed( spoiler: including the reactors). Apparently he was working in a company who was designing and reviewing the design.

Raksha Mantri broke the news of the S5 class going under construction in December of last year.
The blocks viewed here are for the hull, around 40 such blocks will be constructed if we estimate that the length of the sub is around 150-160m.
