Is it legit or not ?

So now that my series is in full swing, I am looking for publishers that are reliable. For now, I am contemplating between digital and print release, but I have also received an offer for print for five issues, though it is a limited release. If you know of any reliable publisher that has an interest in the superhero genre and is also adult-rated, that would be much appreciated.

There are comics and there are graphic novels. And then there is hard-hitting journalism masquerading as graphic novels. 

Joe Sacco's work is the latter. 

I thought I had a pretty good understanding of the Israel-Palestine conflict and Bosnian war; major events, key players, ideological conflict etc. But Sacco puts you right in the middle of the conflict zone. And instead of focusing on politicians or generals, Sacco writes about day-to-day lives of ordinary people. He talks about their resilience, struggle to live an ordinary life, their meager dreams and sliver of hope for a better future. You realise that an event that would destroy your whole life is a regular occurrence for so many people. Sacco not only manages to create empathy for his subjects but also changes your perspective about your own life. 

Highly recommended! 

So I've been wondering lately- there's hundreds of auctions that are conducted by international auction houses for comic books. Why not India? Yes, supply is a bit of an issue.

But at the same time, it seems like a good idea if sourcing is correct. Graded Comics, Raw or even full sets for DC, Marvel, Age of Conan stuff like that is not so hard to procure from abroad.

I ask because I've already worked extensively on this and want to understand what the response would be like. Nothing over the top expensive, keep things cheap and affordable. Collector comics aren't necessarily all mega-expensive and it seems doable to me. Thoughts?

So I make videos opening the haul everytime as usual. This is the clip where I opened the comics. Idk if you guys can tell or not the paper are stuck to each other and look at the force I use.

Update 1: I have ordered the same set of comics from Comic book store and Croco that I ordered from Epic King. And I've requested them to send the parcel as soon as they can.

Also note the PEFC/FSC certification missing on the publisher page. I don't have a single dc comics without that. Marvel don't put it but DC has it.

Ok so I saw this listing of vey obvious ai slop and i was thinking who the hell is flooding the Indian market with ai slop as I was already irritated with pratilipi comics and guess what it is again pratilipi comics. The amount of comics they have released is mind boggling and they have flooded the whole indian market scene with ai slop. Beware of that and don't put fuel in their engine

Today I got my parcel after 20 days. And all the comics I got are bootlegged copy.

Spent around 8k and all wasted. Do not order from epic guys.

How to notice bootlegged copies.

1. The ads on the pages have blurry text

2. They smell rancid.

3. Below the price you can see US written its blurred and not crisp.

Ordered this masterpiece from Flipkart, came today.... ✌🏻❤️

So this most demanding 1500 pages GL Rebirth compendium is sold out everywhere including Amazon and Bookswagon since many months now. After 2 months of searching, when I had lost all hope of ever finding it, then from this sub I got to know about Komicsdotcom. Last month I preordered it through them, and it took approx 1 month 5 days for it to get delivered.

The compendium arrived in sealed packed condition with loads of bubble wrap on it hence no damage happened. Total satisfactory experience for me.

20 dollars is 1800-1900, they're selling it at a 1000 rupee markup, is this because of importing costs or something?

Guys - I was always a social media naysayer and mostly a secret nerd. Came here just to see if I can appeal to an audience just by sharing stuff I am passionate about.

Just a gratitude post for all the people who have expressed their appreciation, helped me move some of my collectibles and in general exchanged their opinions on comics and pop culture!
