Funding Pre-seed: revolutionizing advertisement for retail and fashion

We are revolutionizing the advertisement market for the retail and fashion sector, rewriting how people find out about brands and competing against the age-old banners.

Where we are: a large fashion retailer has agreed to a no-cost proof of concept, and our first live deployment goes in front of real shoppers on 24 October. We’ll report what happens, good or bad.

We’re raising a small pre-seed round, released against milestones. I’m looking for angels and early funds that back retail, ad-tech or hardware, and I’d rather talk to people who’ve seen this problem up close.

If that’s you, or you know someone it should reach, message me. I’ll share the deck privately and answer hard questions.

Question Freelancers and agency owners, how do you manage everything without juggling too many tools?

I'm curious how other freelancers and agency owners manage their day-to-day work.

Between handling clients, tracking projects, coordinating with team members, managing finances, and keeping up with deadlines, things can get scattered pretty quickly.

A few questions for those of you running a freelance business or agency:

  • What tools do you currently use to manage your work?
  • Do you use separate tools for projects, clients, finances, and team coordination?
  • What's the one thing you wish was simpler?
  • Is there anything your current setup still doesn't solve well?

I'd love to hear how people are handling this in practice, especially those running small teams or managing multiple clients.

Question We don't have any competitors.

Famous last words.

Drop what you are building. We will spend the next 24 hours trying to find them.

Could be a company doing the exact same thing, or something completely different solving the same problem.

If we find them, we will tell you who they are and why they matter.

If we don't... congrats, you might actually be onto something.

Drop the idea below. We'll only pick a few.

Everything's free btw.

Note to the MODs : Hopefully I used the right flare, if not please do change it accordingly thank you.

Legal & Tax How tax implications work for Accepting money in our account instead of customer account.

I am trying to understand the business and taxation process in the scenarios such as below:

- Scenario 1- I was to accept refundable deposit from the customer. That is fully refundable after certain period let's say 6 months (now this 6 months duration may fall in different financial year very commonly).

- same as scenario 1 above but from the international customers? Are there taxes applicable, are there taxes on transaction fees, how do you show such expenses?

- Scenario 2 - you want to accept payment for the order on behalf of your customer. And you deduct your commissions out of it and transfer the complete amount to the customer account. I.e. accepting the payments on customers behalf or acting like a marketplace.

Question (21F) looking for paid founders office role - 8 months tech and 6 months sales experience.

Looking for a serious leader to work under.

For context I'm working as a sales manager, I've had 8 months of intern experience in tech as a SDE intern.

Recently I've found out that i thrive in strategy, market analysis, organisation analysis and a lil bit of everything as a generalist instead of just colouring in my lane , i understand business and i can't stop myself from asking questions and finding efficient ways, for ex : i started framing SOPs for my ops team before anyone asked me cz i saw the gap in the execution ( which later came into light as clients left ) but with my current role is sales alone, so I'm looking for more impactful role that can simulate my business mind.

So for founders in fashion, Beauty, retail, SaaS or any interesting industry - I have attention to detail for the design team, i understand branding, positioning and marketing an idea, I love analysing and improving systems, if you are looking for an alter brain that works equally in your mission, loves bringing fresh ideas, often questioning your perception and learns quickly

dm me :)

Hiring Hiring: Growth Marketing & Lead Generation Specialist | B2B SaaS | DPDP & Data Privacy | India

Hi everyone!

I'm building an early-stage SaaS platform in the data privacy, data discovery, and compliance space, focused on helping businesses understand where personal data exists across their systems and manage their data privacy requirements under India's Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act.

Our platform helps businesses discover personal data across databases, cloud storage, CRM systems, applications, and other data sources. It also helps identify sensitive information, map relationships between records, and build a unified view of an individual's data footprint.

I'm looking for a hands-on Growth Marketing & Lead Generation Specialist who can help us establish our presence, reach the right audience, generate qualified leads, and turn marketing efforts into actual business opportunities.

This is an opportunity to help build the growth engine of a SaaS product from the ground up.

What you'll be responsible for

1. Organic Marketing & Growth

  • Develop and execute an organic growth strategy for a B2B SaaS product.
  • Build our presence on LinkedIn and relevant online communities.
  • Identify target audiences, including CTOs, CISOs, DPOs, privacy professionals, compliance teams, and IT leaders.
  • Research competitors, customer pain points, industry trends, and growth opportunities.
  • Track website traffic, engagement, qualified leads, and conversions.

2. SEO & Content Marketing

  • Identify relevant keywords and topics around DPDP compliance, data privacy, data discovery, data governance, and cybersecurity.
  • Plan a content calendar for blogs, website pages, LinkedIn posts, and educational resources.
  • Coordinate with freelance content writers to produce high-quality, SEO-friendly content when required.
  • Work with our technical/product team to turn complex technical concepts into content that business audiences can understand.
  • Distribute content through relevant channels and measure its impact on lead generation.

You don't need to be a full-time content writer, but you should understand content marketing and know how to use content to attract the right audience.

3. Tele-calling & Outbound Lead Generation

  • Research potential customers and build targeted prospect lists.
  • Contact prospective customers through telephone calls, email, and LinkedIn.
  • Speak with decision-makers to understand their data privacy, security, compliance, and data discovery challenges.
  • Qualify prospects and schedule product demos or meetings.
  • Maintain lead details, call outcomes, follow-ups, and pipeline status in a CRM or lead tracker.
  • Collect feedback from prospects to improve our product positioning and messaging.

4. Lead Generation & Conversion

  • Develop practical campaigns to generate qualified B2B leads.
  • Convert useful content, guides, and website visits into meaningful sales conversations.
  • Test different messaging, outreach approaches, and calls to action.
  • Work closely with the founder/product team to improve the journey from first contact to product demo.
  • Focus on qualified opportunities and customer conversations rather than vanity metrics.

Who we're looking for

  • Experience in growth marketing, digital marketing, B2B marketing, lead generation, or SaaS marketing.
  • Comfortable with tele-calling and speaking with business decision-makers.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Understanding of SEO, content marketing, LinkedIn outreach, and prospect research.
  • Ability to research technical topics and explain them in simple language.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools, website analytics, and marketing tools is a plus.
  • Experience in B2B SaaS, cybersecurity, IT services, privacy tech, or compliance is desirable.
  • Self-driven, practical, and comfortable working in an early-stage startup.

You don't need to be an expert in every area. We value the ability to learn quickly, execute consistently, and demonstrate results.

How we'll work

The core hire will own the marketing and lead-generation process, while specialized content writing and design can be handled by freelancers when needed.

We're looking for someone who can combine organic reach, useful content, targeted outreach, and lead generation into a repeatable growth process.

We are not looking for someone who only publishes social media posts or generates generic AI-written blogs. We want someone who understands how to reach the right audience and create real business opportunities.

Engagement

Open to discussing full-time, part-time, or contract arrangements depending on experience and fit. Compensation will be discussed based on the candidate's experience and proposed engagement.

Interested?

Please comment or DM with:

  1. A brief introduction about yourself.
  2. Your experience in B2B marketing, organic growth, or lead generation.
  3. Examples of campaigns or projects you've worked on and any measurable results.
  4. Your experience with tele-calling, outbound outreach, or booking B2B meetings.
  5. How you would approach the first 30 days of marketing a DPDP/data privacy SaaS product in India.

Looking forward to connecting with people who enjoy building something from the ground up!

If you know someone who might be a good fit, please share this post with them.

Hiring Looking for a Technical Co-founder

Location: India, US, Canada, UK, UAE or Singapore
Equity-led founding opportunity

I’m building Nimbyl, an AI platform for manufacturers, importers and exporters managing cross-border trade.

Where we are

  • 50+ industry interviews.
  • 25 signed expressions of interest from businesses representing $750M+ in combined annual trade volume.
  • Interactive prototype built, initial scope defined and product development underway.
  • Pilot discussions with prospective customers, including an India–US chemicals trade use case; actively validating in India, UAE and the US.
  • An industry partner involved, with senior advisors and mentors contributing to trade workflows, product and business development.
  • In discussions with a couple of global accelerators.

Who I’m looking for

A hands-on technical co-founder to build the product, own architecture and delivery, and grow the engineering team. Ideally, you have 5–10+ years of engineering experience, have shipped production software and have led a small team or owned a product end to end.

Relevant experience:

  • AI/ML and production LLM applications, including RAG.
  • Python, backend systems, APIs, integrations and data pipelines.
  • Document intelligence: extracting and reconciling information across PDFs, scans, tables and emails.
  • Agentic workflows with human approvals and reliable execution.
  • Production engineering: evaluation, data modelling, security and deployment.

Supply chain, logistics, trade compliance or enterprise workflow experience would be a plus.

About me

I’m working full-time on Nimbyl, leading product, operations, customer development and fundraising. My background includes 12+ years in strategy and operations across Reliance Jio and CIBC, an MBA from Canada, and consulting work with importers, manufacturers and traders.

How we could start

The goal is a long-term co-founder partnership with meaningful equity and shared responsibility. I’m open to an initial period of working together to assess mutual fit before formalising the partnership, with flexibility around the starting commitment and a path to full-time involvement.

Agencies, outsourced teams and project-only engagements are not a fit.

Interested? DM me with:

  • Your LinkedIn and GitHub, portfolio or a product you can demonstrate.
  • One relevant product: what you personally built and a difficult technical decision you owned.
  • Your location, availability and path to full-time involvement.
  • Why this domain interests you and what you want from a founding partnership.

Question Request to review my startup idea

Please review my startup idea.

INLAW.IO

CORE VISION & ENGINE INLAW.IO is India's workflow infrastructure for professional legal and regulatory paperwork with help of AI Agents. A licensed human (CA , advocate like professionals) always reviews and signs. The platform never files on its own.

Deterministic RAG Engine: All answers, clauses and citations come only from a maintained closed Indian corpus (statutes, circulars, standard forms, court and portal formats). No freewandering model. It is basically an Ai agent specified to legal and regulatory documents, having certain features and capabilities, having a review layer (CAs,advocates and other nessecary professionals).

DETAILED PROBLEM EXAMPLES Problem A – The Unpaid Invoice That Threatens Payroll An MSME supplier has delivered the goods, raised a valid invoice, and waited beyond the agreed payment date. The buyer keeps promising payment while the supplier’s working capital, salaries, GST obligations, and ability to accept the next order are put under pressure. The owner knows that a delayed-payment claim may be available, but preparing the demand, calculating statutory interest, assembling invoices and delivery proof, and completing the MSME ODR requirements feels technical and confrontational. A generic notice is easy to ignore and a lawyer-led recovery process may feel too slow or expensive for a mid-sized invoice. The result is that money already earned remains trapped in the buyer’s hands. The supplier needs a human-reviewed, calculation-backed recovery pack that can move from overdue invoice to a properly structured claim without adding another administrative burden.

Problem B – The GST Notice That Creates Professional Liability A business or its CA receives a GST notice with several disputed heads, mismatches, missing explanations, and a short response deadline. The records needed to answer are spread across invoices, returns, ledgers, reconciliations, prior correspondence, and circulars. A senior CA must identify every issue, decide what evidence supports each answer, draft a point-by-point response, verify the legal basis, and format the reply correctly. Missing one head or citing the wrong provision can increase tax exposure and damage the professional relationship with the client. Generic AI drafts do not solve the problem because they still require extensive checking, restructuring, and citation verification. The real pain is not writing sentences; it is producing a complete, defensible, deadline-safe reply that a CA can confidently review and sign.

Problem C – The Transaction Delayed by Fragmented Property Records A builder, property lawyer, lender, or serious buyer is ready to close a transaction, but the title file is scattered across old sale deeds, encumbrance records, mutation or registry documents, tax receipts, plans, and prior ownership references. Someone must manually trace the chain of title, compare names and property descriptions, detect gaps or inconsistent boundaries, and prepare a continuity summary. A missed encumbrance or incomplete link can delay registration, block financing, or expose the client to a dispute after money has changed hands. The work is repetitive but high-consequence, so clients pay repeatedly for manual searches and document compilation while deals remain stuck. They need a structured due-diligence pack that turns fragmented records into a reviewable title story, with every conclusion left for the authorised professional to verify.

Problem D – The Legal Team Drowning in Repetitive Documents A small chamber, CA practice, HR team, or growing business handles a steady stream of rent agreements, powers of attorney, employment letters, board resolutions, demand notices, affidavits, consumer complaints, and cheque-bounce notices. Each document appears routine, but every matter still requires fact collection, clause selection, local formatting, calculations, annexure assembly, proofreading, signing, stamping, dispatch, and deadline tracking. Senior professionals spend their most expensive hours on copying structural language and checking whether basic fields or attachments were missed. Outsourcing to writers introduces inconsistent quality and repeated corrections; asking staff to use generic templates creates version-control and compliance risk. The buyer is not looking for a blank template. The buyer wants dependable, matter-specific documents produced quickly, reviewed by a qualified person, and converted into usable, trackable legal work.

Problem E – The Notice, Evidence, or Deadline That Gets Lost Between People A business receives a legal notice, a court matter advances, or a dispute suddenly requires evidence. The relevant WhatsApp messages, emails, invoices, photographs, contracts, and earlier replies sit in different phones, inboxes, folders, and chat groups. The advocate or CA must reconstruct the timeline, map every allegation to a response, organise exhibits, prepare affidavits or pleadings, and ensure that a hearing or reply deadline is not missed. The risk is not merely wasted time: an incomplete record, an unanswered paragraph, or a missed date can weaken the client’s position before the professional has a chance to argue the merits. Existing tools store files but do not convert messy evidence and incoming notices into a court- or portal-ready work product. Clients are attracted to a secure matter vault that creates dated, cross-referenced packs, highlights missing items and deadlines, and keeps the human professional in control of the final review and signature.

TARGET PERSONAS MSME owner, advocate, working professionals, founder, HR team, finance team, CA / tax consultant

COMPLETE FEATURE CATALOGUE All features below form the product catalogue. Priority and launch order will be decided later by the founder on the basis of real demand, cost and surveys. This are our first 26 features after large research. All the features would be secured and end to end encrypted. So ,these are just our priority features.Every feature would not be launched just after the launch.

Core Compilation & Recovery Features Feature 01 – Paragraph-Mapped Written Statement

Upload a plaint. System produces a Written Statement that admits / denies / does not admit each paragraph, mapped one-to-one, with local court formatting support.

Feature 02 – Demand / Legal Notice

Structured demand notice generated from facts and supporting documents, ready for review and dispatch.

Feature 03 – Vakalatnama (Local Formats)

Court-specific vakalatnama templates covering district and High Court variations.

Feature 04 – Evidence → Paper Book + Affidavit

Unstructured evidence (WhatsApp exports, emails, invoices, photos) ordered by date, converted into Annexure A/B/C and cross-referenced in an affidavit. Produces a court-ready bundle.

Feature 05 – IA / Caveat Drafts

Emergency interlocutory application and caveat skeletons generated from case facts.

Feature 06 – Cause-List Alerts

Hearing and listing alerts pulled into the matter vault so deadlines and appearances are tracked with the rest of the file.

Feature 07 – Counter-Notice / Reply to Incoming Notice

Inbound legal notice analysed and turned into a structured paragraph-wise reply using the same mapping logic.

Feature 08 – MSME Delayed-Pay Recovery Pack

Hero recovery product. Inputs: Udyam, invoices, buyer, dates. Outputs: statutory demand notice, 3× RBI compound-interest sheet, complete ODR pack formatted for odr.msme.gov.in, and dispatch-ready files. Turns an unpaid invoice into a claim-ready statutory pack.

Feature 09 – Milestone-Gated IP / Contract Terms

Inserts clear milestone-gated IP assignment and related clauses so that paying an invoice does not automatically transfer intellectual property unless the contract expressly says so under Indian practice.

Feature 10 – 45-Day Payment Clause Injector

Prevention side of the MSME clock. Injects enforceable 45-day payment language (and aligned terms) into vendor agreements before default occurs.

Feature 11 – Risk Heatmap (Contract Review)

Flags risk areas in uploaded agreements against an India-focused checklist. Supports midmarket review, not full enterprise CLM replacement.

Feature 12 – Clause Swap / Playbook Replace

Replaces risky or missing clauses with preferred language from a maintained playbook.

Feature 13 – Counterparty Hygiene Check

Live GSTIN status and basic MCA company status as a pre-send hygiene screen. Commodity data layer used before notices or contracts are finalised.

Feature 14 – GST Reply Compiler

Upload DRC-01 / ASMT-10 or similar. System maps every head into a point-by-point DRC06-shaped reply backed only by a closed, maintained set of circulars and records. CA reviews and files; platform never submits.

Feature 15 – Execution & Dispatch Pipe (Sign / Stamp / Post / Vault)

Last-mile layer: approved draft → Aadhaar eSign → authorised digital stamping → email / WhatsApp / Speed Post with tracking → matter vault that stores history and raises deadline alerts. Turns a draft into a usable legal object.

Portal, Analysis & Template Layer Feature 16 – Institutional & Government Portal Connection Layer

Connection with relevant government portals and the laws, rules and regulations of institutions (GSTN, MSME ODR, eCourts data sources, MCA, state registration/IGR systems, Udyam, etc.). Capabilities: prepare exact portal-ready packs and form fields; pull publicly available or licensed status data; maintain a structured library of applicable rules and circulars for each institution. Final submission always remains with the authorised human. The system does not log into taxpayer or ODR accounts or auto-file on behalf of the user.

Feature 17 – Notice & Document Analysis + CA/Consultant-style Review

Upload any notice or legal document. System analyses it, highlights risks, missing points and statutory references, and suggests reply strategy or corrections in the style a competent CA or consultant would. Includes point-by-point breakdown, risk flags, suggested language and cross-check against the closed Indian corpus. Human still decides and signs.

Feature 18 – Large Selectable Template Library with Instruction Control

The platform contains a broad library of possible legal and compliance templates. User can browse/select a template or simply instruct the system in natural language; the engine generates or customises the document accordingly. Templates cover the full catalogue (notices, agreements, resolutions, affidavits, portal packs, etc.) and can be further instructed (“add 45-day clause”, “make it Maharashtra stamp ready”, “map these invoices”). This is the flexible front-end that lets users reach any supported paper type without memorising feature numbers.

High-Frequency Daily / Expensive Document Features These address work that is performed constantly and for which people already pay significant amounts.

Feature 19 – Encumbrance / Title Continuity Check Pack

Assembles and structures encumbrance certificate data, previous deed references and a continuity summary for property transactions or loan processing. Currently paid work (often ₹3,000–15,000+) done before almost every deal.

Feature 20 – Rent / Leave & Licence Agreement + Intimation Pack

Generates rent or leave-and-licence agreements with state-appropriate clauses, stamp readiness, and optional police/society intimation drafts. Extremely frequent in urban markets; repeatedly paid work.

Feature 21 – Employment / HR Document Suite

Appointment letter, NDA, experience certificate, relieving letter, full & final settlement drafts. Used monthly by companies and by CAs who handle payroll clients.

Feature 22 – Power of Attorney (General + Special) Pack

General and Special Power of Attorney drafts, notarisation-ready, covering property, banking, court and family use-cases. Still commonly charged ₹1,500–5,000+ per document by writers.

Feature 23 – Cheque Bounce / Section 138 Notice + Complaint Pack

Statutory demand notice under Section 138 Negotiable Instruments Act plus supporting complaint pack, including amount and interest calculations. High-frequency work for advocates and CAs.

Feature 24 – GST Reconciliation Exception Report + Reply Draft

Beyond a single show-cause notice: structured exception report for GSTR-1 / 3B / 2B mismatches with suggested reply language. Addresses recurring monthly CA workload.

Feature 25 – Board / Shareholder Resolution + ROC Form Pre-fill

Board and shareholder resolutions (director appointment, loans, related-party transactions, etc.) plus pre-filled ROC-related forms. Repeated need for every private limited company and their CAs.

Feature 26 – Consumer Complaint / Demand Notice Pack

Standardised consumer demand notices and complaint drafts for product or service deficiency. Rising volume; still largely handled by local lawyers for relatively standard papers.

DIFFERENTIATING CAPABILITIES • Paragraph / field mapping (plaint → WS, notice heads → DRC-06, invoices → interest sheet) • Evidence to dated paper-book + affidavit cross-references • Statutory math (3× RBI interest, 45-day clock, portal field requirements) • India last-mile pipe (eSign + stamp + post + vault alerts on one matter) • Closed citation folder maintained for GST / MSME and other regulated replies • Human signs; software does not file • Prevent + recover on the same clock (clause injector + recovery pack + vault) • Channel-shaped output (same engine, different finished artefact for CA / MSME / advocate) • Institutional rule library + portal-ready packs (Feature 16) • CA-style analysis and suggested strategy on any uploaded notice/document (Feature 17) • Large selectable / instructable template library (Feature 18)

SECURITY & PRIVACY (MANDATORY) Documents are encrypted (TLS in transit, AES-256 at rest). Keys in proper KMS. Matterlevel isolation. No standing internal access to customer files. Support can see a matter only when the user explicitly grants a time-limited, logged, revocable token. Customer data is never used to train models. Primary residency in India. Strong authentication and full audit trail of every generation, view and support session.AI agent also give security alerts according to the topic.

Public commitment: “Your documents are encrypted. Our team cannot see them unless you explicitly grant temporary access for support. We never use your files to train models. Data stays in India.”

GOVERNMENT DATA & FILING RULES The system prepares exact portal-ready packs and may use licensed or public status APIs. It does not log into taxpayer, ODR or court filing accounts and does not submit filings. The authorised human always performs the final submission. This keeps the product on the correct side of professional conduct and liability rules while still delivering high-value compilation and review.

FUTURE VISION • Gradually expand the platform to 100+ features, covering the necessary and highdemand legal, regulatory, compliance, and documentation workflows. • Continuously improve every existing feature based on real-world usage, professional feedback, accuracy requirements, and evolving user needs. • Develop our own generative AI capabilities to power intelligent drafting, document generation, customisation, and a growing library of legal and compliance templates. • Keep the initial 26 features as the core priority, focusing first on making each one reliable, accurate, efficient, and genuinely valuable before expanding further. • Build a strong network of partnered CAs, tax consultants, and other professionals, using them as a key distribution and feedback channel while enabling them to serve their clients more efficiently through INLAW. • Grow the ecosystem progressively, with more workflows, templates, professional partnerships, and AI capabilities being added as actual demand and usage increase.

Question A Free Marketing and Content Strategy Audit for Creators and Businesses

A Free Marketing and Content Strategy Audit for Creators and Businesses

Over the past few years, I’ve been exploring and working across different areas of digital marketing, content strategy, social media, and brand growth.

One thing I’ve realized is that sometimes, creators and businesses don’t need to create more content. They need a clear strategy, better positioning, and an understanding of what’s working and what isn’t.

I’m now starting a new project focused on marketing strategy and growth, and I want to connect with more creators and business owners along the way.

So, I’ve decided to offer free marketing and content strategy audits to a few creators and businesses who want a fresh perspective on their online presence.

Here’s what I can look at:

Social Media Audit: Profile, bio, branding, and overall presence.

Content Strategy: Content ideas, hooks, messaging, and opportunities for improvement.

Marketing Strategy: Audience targeting, positioning, and growth opportunities.

Brand Growth: What could be improved to help you reach the right audience.

Whether you’re a content creator, influencer, startup, small business owner, or someone building a personal brand, you’re welcome to participate.

There’s no charge and no obligation to buy anything. I genuinely want to provide useful insights, connect with people, and learn from different businesses and creators as I build this project.

Interested? Drop a comment or DM me your social media profile, website, or business page, along with a little information about what you do.

I’ll review your presence and share actionable suggestions wherever I can.

Looking forward to seeing what you’re building!

Hiring Starting a YouTube Channel

Hey everyone,

So I have a Channel idea I've been working on for some time. It's a news channel that's unbiased towards any individual or institution, public or private. The idea is not to bully someone/rant over their policies/agendas, but to hold them accountable and ask them to do better should the people choose to keep them in that position. I feel journalism as the 4th pillar has died a million deaths since I started watching it back in 2011-12. And there's a much needed resurgence to rebuild it, now more than ever. Lastly, I also want to add a solution-driven approach to it, where if the people are unhappy and want to see change, we find some mechanism to do so. For example, a petition, a by-law that's buried in fine print that would help bring us change.

But I'm also involved in multiple projects atm. So I need help with research - primary and secondary.

I'm looking for people with backgrounds in economics, political science, business, law, psychology, sports, etc. or just someone with enough interest to research through those topics.

I have the skeletons for the first 5 episodes ready, and I also know what questions I wanna tackle. Obviously your inputs beyond those points are always welcome and appreciated.

This will be an unpaid internship/consultation for 2 months where I'll need help with research, and content creation on it (still undecided if I need someone in this process or not, but staying open for it). I don't need anyone for an entire day. Maybe an hour or two of deep research from your end should be enough.

Since I'm just starting out and these 5 episodes will let us know the lay of the land, management of the channel and any related social media will be handed over to someone else as well. In the beginning, I'm just focusing on the content quality. Anyone interested in execution of the said content via channel and socials handling can also reach out. Any and all help is appreciated.

Any professionals/students that would love to help out in this endeavour to begin with, I'd be really grateful.

Thank you.

Question Starting a D2C affordable-premium leather handbag brand in India — need honest advice

Hi everyone!

I’m planning to launch a premium-affordable leather handbag brand in India, and I’m looking for advice from founders who have built D2C or physical-product businesses.

I’m at a crossroads and would appreciate some honest feedback.

My current plan:

  • Product: high-quality, genuine leather handbags priced around ₹9,000–₹10,000.
  • Sampling: ₹5,000 per design, with 10–15 days for each sample.
  • Manufacturing: MOQ of 10 pieces per design at approximately ₹1,500-1800 per bag.
  • Branding + website: An agency has quoted ₹36,000 + GST for the logo, brand kit and website.

Launching with three designs could cost over ₹1.1 lakh, excluding marketing, packaging and shipping. I cannot risk essential household expenses, so I need to be careful with my investment.

I’d love your perspective on five things:

  1. Should I invest in professional branding and a website upfront, or start lean?
  2. Should I launch with one design or three?
  3. How do I get my first customers as an unknown brand?
  4. Should I use Meta Ads, Google Ads, or neither initially?
  5. I have certain budget constraints, does this business make sense, or am I undercapitalised?

I’m not looking for generic motivation. I’d genuinely appreciate advice based on your experience, including mistakes you made and what you would do differently.

Thanks!

Hiring 20M, India — Looking for People to Build a Business Content Brand Together From Scratch (Not a Job or Hiring Post)

Hey everyone! I'm 20M from India, and I'm trying to build a small online team with two closely connected groups: a Builders Team and a Leaders Team.

What are we building?

We'll initially focus on creating business-related videos for Instagram and YouTube. (I'll share the remaining details via DM with interested people whose goals and criteria align with ours.)

Face reveals aren't necessary. We'll mainly focus on faceless content.

Who am I looking for?

- Video editors: Skilled in Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut, including high-quality motion-design videos.

- Content researchers and creative thinkers: People who can research businesses and develop interesting content ideas.

- Growth and platform management: People who can help grow our Instagram, YouTube, Threads, and other platforms.

- Other contributors: Website developers and people with other useful skills are welcome too.

I've already found three members, but I still need more people to strengthen the team.

A few things to understand before joining:

This is not a job or a paid opportunity right now. We're starting with limited funding, so the first phase will require consistent effort without immediate earnings. Everyone has their own studies, jobs, and responsibilities, so we'll distribute tasks according to people's skills and availability.

I want to build a team based on equality, mutual respect, and contribution. Everyone should receive recognition according to their actual work, not their position. We can discuss ideas, distribute or change responsibilities, and make decisions together through team meetings. Everyone will also have their own contribution highlights on our Instagram page.

I'm not looking for people who expect quick money or instant success. I'm looking for people who genuinely want to build something from scratch, learn together, and stay committed even when progress is slow or no progress.

I can't guarantee success, but I want us to approach this project with honesty, fairness, and a willingness to work together.

Interested? Feel free to DM me with a little introduction about yourself, your skills or interests, and how you'd like to contribute. You don't need to be an expert, but you should be realistic about the commitment and willing to work as part of a team.

Funding Looking for an Experienced Co-Founder or Angel Investor for My Men’s Grooming Startup | Mumbai, India

Hi everyone,

I’m a first-time founder and student from Mumbai, working on an early-stage premium razor brand called SNELLIER.

Shaving in India still has a basic problem: nicks and irritation, and the traditional fixes are inconvenient. I’m building a product that solves it in a new way, designed to be made in India first and then taken to global markets.

My current situation:

  • Stage: Idea and planning stage, pre-revenue
  • Location: Mumbai, India
  • Experience: First-time founder, student
  • Current need: An experienced co-founder, mentor or angel investor with experience in manufacturing, D2C or grooming and personal care
  • Funding need: Seed funding to build the prototype, set up manufacturing and launch in India

I can’t share the product details publicly yet, but I’m happy to discuss them one-on-one with serious people, ideally under an NDA.

I want honest feedback, practical guidance and a serious long-term working relationship. If you can help with funding, manufacturing contacts or strategy, please comment or DM me.

Thank you!

Funding We developed a website called Lotlink: sell anything with one link, no app needed

We developed a website called Lotlink for small sellers in India who take orders on WhatsApp or Instagram and track everything by hand.

Here's how it works:

  • The seller lists items with photo, price and stock, and gets one link.
  • They share it anywhere: WhatsApp groups, Instagram, their society group.
  • Buyers open the link, pick items and book. No app needed, no signup.
  • Buyers pay the seller directly by UPI. Get paid directly, with no cut taken.
  • The seller sees every booking in one place, with pickup or delivery details.

It works for home cooks, bakers, pickle makers, small shops, anyone selling anything.

Question Aspiring founder here: What should you actually do before starting a startup? How do you know if an idea is worth pursuing?

I'm interested in building a startup, and I have a genuine question for founders and people who have been through this journey.

I keep coming up with different startup ideas. Sometimes I get excited about an idea at night, and by the next morning, I'm ready to start building it. I spend time working on it, but after a few weeks or a month, I lose interest and start thinking about something else.

This has happened multiple times, and I've been trying to break this cycle for months. I don't want to keep jumping between ideas. I want to build something meaningful and learn how to approach startups properly.

The problem is that I'm not sure what the right starting point is.

When you want to build a startup, what should you actually do first?

- Do you start with an idea and immediately build an MVP?

- Should you research the problem and talk to potential customers before writing any code?

- How important are market research, competitor analysis, and market size at the beginning?

- Do you need funding or money before you can validate an idea?

- How do you determine whether an idea is worth spending six months or a year working on?

- How do you distinguish between an idea that sounds exciting and a problem that people genuinely need solved?

One thing I'm especially curious about is how founders stay committed to one idea when new ideas keep coming up. How do you know when to persist through difficulties and when to accept that an idea isn't worth pursuing?

I'd really appreciate advice from people who have actually built startups, worked on early-stage products, or abandoned ideas and learned from the experience?

I'm not looking for motivational advice. I'd genuinely like to understand the process, including mistakes you've made and lessons you learned.

Thanks!
