Is this what’s going to cancel the elections? The director of the CIA just had an unannounced trip there in August.

There's an "anti-epidemic lockdown" at one hospital in Siberia. Only one city, Irkutsk, is impacted at all (so far).

This outbreak would have to get an awful lot worse before it could be a plausible excuse to mess with US elections.

I thought they already had the “elections”

Edit: oops, thought you meant Russian elections

Common antibiotics ftw.

Wake me when it's some sort of antibiotic resistant strain

Given that it's coming out of a Russian lab, that's pretty much the concern.

Someone on another sub I am in for this mentioned it’s the same disease that was being weaponized in the Soviet Union which I feel like sparks a lot of concern of exactly wtf they were doing with it in the modern day. Also based on the information from other posts they handled this so laughably bad that it seems almost intentional. I don’t think it was confirmed it came from a broken vial but they apparently let the person go home and only made them GO TO A HOSPITAL after showing symptoms.

So a near 100% fatal extremely contagious illness coming from a lab possibly researching biological weapons.
