I just saw this posted over on r/baltimore.
“Responsible hydration” sounds a bit judgy to me. OTOH, I can imagine it’s not easy to manage all those little bladders.

Honestly my fault for not checking on the recommendations of proper placement it’s been extremely hot 🥵 in Los Angeles and had my carafe by a window in my kitchen and apparently that’s a breading ground for algae growth now I’m stuck wondering if I should completely toss the machine out or buy a new tank I cleaned the inlet where the green algae growth was but noticed it inside the spring that connect the tank to the inlet so and I cannot get into it to clean, if anyone has any recommendations or advice please please help a girl out 😭😮💨

I’ve organised a hydration party at my home. No food, only liquids (and a little sugar for some people). This and obviously some of the green stuff to get people thirsty. ;)

Hello Hydrohomies. This is a uni project regarding hydration.
We are trying to find ways to keep people hydrated as many among us often forget to drink enough water. This is the first iteration - a smart water bottle. It reminds you to drink at regular intervals and you can set a goal for the day which the bottle keeps track of based on weight. Also completely customizable ESP32(or similar), own code, small touch screen, RGB LEDs, share with your friends(connect to Discord etc), machine washable, wireless(batteries) - all the goodies.
Now to the questions:
How often do you forget to hydrate? Scale of 1 to 4 with 4 being forgetting constantly.
Would a smart water bottle encourage you to drink more water? Scale of 1 to 4 with 4 being greatly encourages.
What would be the preferred method of reminder: lights, sound, vibration? Or combination of.
Open feedback about anything regarding hydration or the proposed solution.
I greatly appreciate if you take a minute to answer these questions!!! Thank you :)

I thought I had finally found the holy grail of water bottles when I got the Brumate: insulated, fits a cup holder, with a straw, LEAKPROOF when locked.
I loved it for 6 months or so but now all I get is air through the straw and it drives me nuts. I've tried every way of taking it apart and putting it back together, tightening, etc.
Is there any other bottle that fits these 4 criteria?? Or is there some magical element to fixing the Brumate lid so that it works again?

Don't know why, but I just like it more.

I currently have a water bottle I've had for like almost 4 years now. It's a double walled stainless steel. Only use it for water no flavorings. It's starting to taste like metal. In my googling I see there's 2 common options of ceramic lined or titanium. My main criteria for a water bottle is it needs a straw and needs a cover over the spout because I have cats and I don't want their hair sticking to the spout lol. I use my bottle all day in my house and also while out so a clean spout is a must. If you have recommendations please let me know.

I think all of you homies should watch this, although exclusive to the USA, it's a wonderfully crafted video about how different scenarios affect the taste of water.

I bought this coconut water, and when I poured it into an ice tray, I started seeing all of these stringy, fibrous-looking particles. Since it says it's pink coconut and they are kind of dark red, I'm thinking it's part of the coconut, but it looks kind of gross. I'm not sure if it's safe to drink. Can someone help me???

My mind has been blown
I've always had a taste in water whether its minerals, chlorine, or dirt, I can taste it in the water. Everyone around me thinks im crazy. I know what im tasting.
I threw out my old brita filter and got the 2 pack elite for 30 bucks.
Im currently drinking air. Its insane. There is NO taste. How is this even possible?! I live in a area with an absurd amount of hard water, no dirt taste now. Im curious how it will be back home where the water is heavily filtrated with chlorine.

Hello all. I've had my Iron Flask for over 5 years now, and I'll be honest, I haven't cleaned it as often as I wanted, but I used it regularly and thought it was fine. But last week I noticed this little silicone stopper was disgusting, and attempted to clean it with a cheap straw cleaner, soaking it in hot water/vinegar, and trying dawn power wash, but these two little bits won't go away. Should I just trash this and get a new one? I don't wanna have to do that, given i have plenty of stickers on my bottle I don't want going to waste 😭

Hi hydro homies
Hope everyone’s had a hydrated Monday
I come writing to you mourning the loss of my second glass water bottle in under 2 months. Cause of death: accidentally smacked a wall while turning a corner.
I need recommendations y’all. I don’t want plastic and I’d rather not do stainless steel because I’m sensitive to the taste of metal and every metal bottle I’ve had tasted like metal to me. But these glass bottles on amazon I’ve been using are thin and break easy and I am clumsy and I’d rather not keep buying a new bottle every month.
Maybe it’s time to try a steel one again? Maybe they’ve gotten less metallic tasting in the 10 years since I last tried one? Maybe there’s a secret third option I’m unaware of? Or maybe a better brand that has thick glass that can handle a few wall taps.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions!
